During the spring, Mhairi loved to spend most of her time outside. It had always been the case, and if she were home she would still be out in the gardens. Now that it was beginning to warm up, she was keen to look after the roses that would be used for Valentines, and wanted to get the rest of the Wild Patch involved too. She was outside now in a floor length skirt, and light crop top, admiring the Wiggentree from last year on her way through, giving the little sprout that was beginning to push through the surface of the soil a sprinkle of water. She wouldn’t be here when it properly grew, although she did wonder at what point if its growth did it begin to become effective in protection?

The Hufflepuff had put up posters around the school inviting the WPC to join her that afternoon, where she had a number of things that would need help now that the seasons were changing. There were spare roses that needed to be planted, existing plants that needed to be trimmed down, and their surroundings de-weeded, and as Mhairi was doing, they needed to be watered too. She liked this time of year although it was also one of the busiest and most critical times for the flowers. She’d laid out a few tools that would help the students, and save them hunting around in the greenhouses for them, and hoped they’d have a successful day of sprucing up the area.

After their ridiculously swift defeat in Quidditch, Elliot was looking forward to having a club activity that didn't have ridiculous amounts of pressure attached to it. He was already feeling the exam stress looming in the next few weeks, and grateful that Wild Patch was having a meeting now that the weather was warming up so he could distract himself.

He didn't know their new Queen of Flowers very well, but gave her a small wave when he made his way to the Wild Patch, happy to start some mindless work in the gardens. Grabbing some gloves, Elliot set up near a particularly overgrown section, pulling weeds methodically and enjoying the satisfaction of slowly clearing up the overgrowth.

The previous year's Wild Patch events had been a lot of fun. Mostly. So he had been looking forward to whatever they had in store next. Lysander had seen the new leader at the club fair too, and thought it was really cool how quickly she could write in the air with magic. He was curious to eventually learn how to do the spell himself, but she was a lot older than he was and he hadn't had a chance to ask her about it since he never really seemed to run into her. The boy trudged up to the garden, dressed in shorts to avoid any more grass stains on his good clothes, and any further lectures from his dad. He picked up a shovel laying about with a few other tools, and when he noticed the blonde girl nearby, he walked on over to her. There was something else that had been on his mind to ask her about, more than just the wand writing. "Excuse me, hi!" He beamed. "Is it true that you're the Queen of Flowers?" He asked. It was a very cool title, and he didn't really know what it meant, or why it was different from the other groups, but it sounded awesome all the same. Was this their Kingdom of Flowers? He had a lot of thoughts and questions.

Mhairi looked up when someone joined her, and she waved back at Elliot with a smile. She hadn’t really spoken to many people outside of her own friend group before now but she was glad that this role had given her the chance to meet and introduce herself to more people. The seventh year spotted another younger boy that that she remembered from the Wiggentree event, and flashed him a bright smile. The Hufflepuff nodded after reading his lips, wondering why he wanted to know and if there was anything she could help with. Mhairi still had her wand in hand, “My name is Mhairi,” she wrote, just in case he didn’t know or wasn’t sure.

Lysander watched in wonder as the older girl wrote out a sentence in the air. She was so quick at doing it, and without thinking about it he tried to do the same with his finger to see what it was like. Difficult as heck, it turned out. He'd mixed himself up after only the first two letters, and quickly dropped his hand. He wasn't sure why she only seemed to write instead of speak, but it was both awesome and dazzling so he was quite happy with it. "Mahairy." He repeated. Yes, that was definitely how you pronounced that. "I'm Lysander!" He introduced himself. "I was wondering, because you're like the Queen and stuff, can I be a knight? If you need someone to defend your garden kingdom, I'm really strong, and I can scare people away for you if they try to mess anything up." The boy told her. He demonstrated his prowess by waving the shovel he'd picked up around like a sword, to whack the invisible foes attempting to uproot flowers for whatever reason. "I'm pretty good at degnoming, too. I can throw them really far away because I'm that strong." He wasn't sure if the Wild Patch got gnomes. With him around, it definitely wouldn't, he was sure.

A brief frown appeared on the girls face when she read the boy had said something beginning with M, although she didn’t have time to work out what he’d said before he moved on to his next question. It was always harder to follow students speech when they added words or pauses in that she wasn’t expecting, and even though she liked to think she was good at lip reading, she was by no near perfect. Mhairi did manage to capture of few words though and she let out a small chuckle when she realised he wanted to defend the patch from gnomes. “A knight?” She repeated in the air, making sure she knew what he was asking for. The seventh year considered it for a moment. She didn’t think anyone else had had a knight of the flowers before, although she thought the plants could do with someone looking out for them. She had also struggled to get the boys name, but there weren’t too many people in the club. She pulled out a piece of parchment with the list of names of all the members, glancing down at the younger names before pointing to the word Lysander and showing him the sheet of paper for confirmation.

Ilija was proud of his sister, and how far she'd come over the years. He'd always known the older girl to keep to herself, especially since he'd known her at Hogwarts, but after everything thing she'd been through with Lina and trying to find her own feet, it was like she'd been rewarded with a title of Queen of the Flowers to celebrate her efforts. He knew it couldn't have been easy for the seventh year, but he certainly knew she did what she could. Ilija was trying not to think about what his school life would be like once his sisters graduated, but at least he had a small group of friends. He'd headed outside and waved at Mhairi, although she was a little preoccupied talking to the Gryffindor beater to worry about her brother. Instead, Ilija moved across the wild patch to smile at Elliot, a little too nervous himself to make the first move in conversation, but standing near enough that it wouldn't be difficult to hear him if he decided he wanted Ilija for company too.

As soon as Wendall had left the building, he was looking around for Lysander. He had never had any siblings before, but it was like the Gryffindor was a brother to him, the way he always looked out for Wendall. He bounded up behind the brunette who was talking to the tall blonde girl, and Wendall watched a little confused as the girl was writing in the air for his friend. "Isn't she the deaf one?" Wendall whispered into his friends ear. He'd seen her around last year and she never really spoke to anyone properly. He wasn't sure why he was whispering, he was pretty sure that MaHairy couldn't hear him. What was he even thinking? Her name couldn't have actually been MaHairy. The second year peered up at the girl as she showed Lysander the sheet of paper, and Wendall elbowed his friend as though to prove what he'd just been talking about. "He has a sword and everything," the Hufflepuff began nodding eagerly, knowing that if anyone was equipped to defend the plants from the gnomes then it would be him. Wendall didn't trust himself to get too close to his friend while he was in defence mode though, believing the combination of Lysanders strength to hit things and Wendall's inability to dodge things, would not make the best combination.

Lysander's eyes trailed the older girl's wand again as it wrote through the air, and he nodded enthusiastically when she clarified that he was asking to be a knight. "Yeah!" He told her. He was still confused about why she used magic to write instead of speaking, until Wendall came up and told him she was deaf. Oh. Oh! That explained so much. He felt stupid for not realising sooner, but truth be told, he'd not personally met anyone hearing impaired before. When she pointed his name out on the list, he nodded his head again to confirm that it was his, and grinned when Wendall backed him up about his knighthood. "It's true, I do!" He continued, though his rapid talking had slowed down to a snails pace. He wasn't sure if it was rude to change so suddenly, but she had seemed confused by him before, and he wanted to be sure they could understand each other.

Lars had always enjoyed nature, and it was usually the biggest inspiration for his paintings and drawings. He enjoyed being part of the wild patch club because of that reason, and thought it would be nice to help them tend to the garden for this event. He wasn't sure what they had to do, though, and simply observed at first. Elliot was nearby pulling some weeds, but there was another boy near him who may have been his friend, Lars wasn't sure if he should approach, would he be interrupting? The Queen of Flowers seemed busy talking to some younger boys, and Lars wandered around a little bit while looking for something he could do. He decided to start planting some roses, as that was his favorite part of gardening, when he could add new flowers that would rise up and bloom beautifully.

Mhairi was aware of a few others joining and she thought she’d better make rounds at some point to introduce herself. For the time being thought she was very amused by the young boy in front of her, who was making her giggle, “Well, you seem a very good fit to be a knight. The club would be lucky to have you,” she smiled, glad to be in the knowledge that there would be people looking out for the plants even when she wasn’t around. His friend seemed to be backing the boy up too, “As long as your careful,” she smiled, she didn’t need any flowers losing their heads in the defending process. The seventh year looked back up to the other students who seemed to be making themselves busy, and with a pat on the shoulder to the younger boy, the Hufflepuff moved past him and toward those who had already got themselves stuck in. “Hi,” she wrote in the air, directing the word across to @Elliot Briar and @Lars van Houten. Of course she was pleased to see her brother here too, and nodded toward him instead.

To her alarm, Alice was a little late for the Wild Patch club event. She rushed to the club area quickly, hoping she hadn't missed too much yet. She saw that everyone else was working ont hings in the garden, and after observing for a moment, Alice moved over to start trimming a few of the plants that clearly needed it. Her OWL year was very busy, and Alice was glad to garden for a bit as it was always pretty relaxing. She soon relaxed as she tended to the plants, reminded of the greenhouse at home. It was nice to just work for a while, and Alice started humming to herself quietly.

Clara always was late the clubs but she didn't know why that but she finaly walk the wild puch club. "I'm so sorry, i'm late. I was lost!" She was totaly first time lost and she hoped the older girl would be angry with here. Clara looked and mayby she will be see her best friend Evan.
