Hi all! Welcome to another (and my first) Bi-Weekly Update. There's plenty of exciting things going on so let's dive right in!
End of Y41!
Exams have now wrapped up and all classes are graded which means it's officially the end of Y41 and Slytherin has managed to win themselves the House Cup! A huge congrats to everyone who has worked hard with their students to keep their house in the race for the cup and a specials shout out to those top point earners. Graduation
Graduation is open and well on its way. Graduates can head over here to post receiving their diploma from none other than our new Minister Of Magic! Any guests, including prefects, professors and other Hogwarts staff are welcome to join the festivities in their own respective thread. Keep in mind that this area won't be open forever so be sure to get your posts in or finish your threads while it still is.
School Publications
The end of the year means we get a new publication of the Hogwarts Monthly as well as the Accio Yearbook! Both teams have put in a lot of hard work to get these to you so make sure to check them out. You can find the newest issue of the Hogwarts Monthly here and the Accio Yearbook over here. You can also head to this topic to have your character react to the yearbook or find out if they, or anyone they know, won an IC Superlative!
Your guide to Applications around Sorting time
It's that time of the year again during which some applications are open while others are closed, so let me fill you in on what's what!
Professor Applications
Professor Applications are currently open! We have positions available for DADA 1-4, History of Magic 5-7 and one special position for an Apparition Instructor. Have you always dreamt of having your character teach one of these subjects to the bright young wizards and witches of the future? Head over here to see what you need to do to apply. Being a professor can be hard work, but it's definitely rewarding and offers plenty of interesting, new roleplaying opportunities!
Shopkeeper Applications
Shops galore! There are currently three open positions for shopkeepers including the Apothecary, the Medley and Scrivenshafts Quill Shop. Head over here to see them all. Being a shopkeeper can be a fun way to develop your former students or adult characters even further.
Other Apps
As you all know Sorting is right around the corner, which means these are busy times for our admins! The above apps as well as the general group change applications will be open but all further applications will be closed for the time being. An update will be posted when all other applications open up again.
Character Spotlight
A new month means a new Character Spotlight! This month: Marnie Frogg who's roleplayed by Kris! Join us here to congratulate Kris on the Spotlight and find out everything you want to know about Marnie and how she came to be. Don't forget to use this opportunity to ask any burning questions you might have!
White Elephant Prizes
Just a quick little heads up for all you White Elephant Prize winners: don't forget to use your prizes! I would be a shame if they go unused (especially if your prize happens to involve roleplay roulette or deciding when the next OSW should be

Holiday areas are open!
With the schoolyear coming to an end and sorting right around the corner it's a good time to remind you all that holiday areas are now open! Make sure you use this opportunity to have your students enjoy everything the wizarding world has to offer because they'll be back at school before you know it.
