Hello one and all! Welcome to another bi weekly update that's just a little bit late. So given that, we're just going to get right into it
Week 3
We are now in week 3 of the semester! I don't know where the time goes, but it certainly does go by very fast! All professors should try and ensure they are up to date with lessons, and up to date with their grading. The semester will keep going and being on top of things at this end useful when things hit the end of semester chaos.
Student Led Events
With the semester in full swing there are a number of events on going. The duelling tournament has just gotten underway, you can follow all of the duels here and a massive thank you to Charlie who is leading the duelling this semester. Second we have the Great Hufflepuff Bakeoff where Hufflepuffs can bake and compete! You can check out that thread here and with thanks to Tamara & Kaye for hosting. Lastly we have the IC Supers, this will be your last chance to nominate, so be sure to do so before its too late. By this time next week we'll be moving on to the voting stage!
Accio
With that last point of events in mind, the accio pages will close very soon with all but the valentines pages closing by this Saturday (July 1st) GMT. Be sure to post your pictures before its too late to ensure that they are included within the yearbook.
Valentines
The Valentine's Day Dance is underway, head on over here to check that out. Post thread, reply to others, cause chaos! This will close on Wednesday or Thursday GMT, so be sure to get things posted sooner rather than later.
Electives fair
An important moment for our 2nd year students, the electives fair! This will be happening very soon, and people with characters that age or the elective professors should do their best to post in the event.
Quidditch
We are quickly heading towards the cup game for Quidditch, where Slytherin and Hufflepuff will battle it out for the trophy. Hopefull ywe'll get a longer game that the Ravenclaw versus Gryffindor game. Can't believe how fast Flynn caught the snitch and if you missed that head on over here to read all about it (it won't take long).
Shopkeepers
With thanks to those who applied for the shop keeper position, we're happy to announce that Daemyn Knight, Kaitlyn, will be taking over Borgin and Burkes and Jelle van Zijl, Kadi, will be taking over the silver snake. We'd like to thank them both for taking this on and can't wait to see what they do with the shops. Be on look out for more shopkeeper apps perhaps in the near future!
Head Persons app
There is still a little time to put in your app to be Head Person of Hogwarts. You can head on over here to have a look at the app and see all the information you need to know. This is a very important position in the school so be sure to apply if you'd like before it is too late.
Election!
Voting is still underway for the MoM election! But we are heading towards it closing, in fact by the next BWU we will have a new minister! So, don't delay voting any further! Given how close we are to the end of the election cycle, we'd like to take the opportunity to give our thanks to Daphne and her leadership with Claudia Holland in the minister's position and Dan with Alexander Cade in the deputy minister's position. Thank you both for the work put in!
