This was the first year that her club was accepted as a real club. Emily was excited and had a grant idea in her head for the next event. She wanted to make a memory quilt and had made white fabric pouches for everyone. Each pouch was empty and there was room to put in a sound box. These could be enchanted and could play a song that a witch or wizard added to it. The rest could draw, paint and use scrap fabrics to add to the pouch.

Emily waited for everyone to walk into the Arts Room and felt the realization that this was her last year. She looked at everyone, at the new faces and at the people that had made this club. 'Welcome everyone to the first activity of this year in our lovely Conglomerated Arts Room'' Emily smiled she had set the tables there was enough for everyone and there was a little music station too.

''We are going to make a memory quilt to commemorate the first event of this club'' Emily held up a white square. ''These white squares will be sewn together to make one quilt'' Emily laid down the square and pointed to the tables. ''There is special music boxes to add to the squares for the people that love music, there's a note with how the enchantment of music works'' There was plenty of material and Emily had made one the previous night so she could walk around and help everyone. ''I will be walking around, lets make a beautiful quilt people!'' Emily said while waving her wand, on the table beside the material bowls of nuts, chocolates, cookies and M&M's appeared so people could enjoy a snack while making their quilt piece.

Ana Sofia liked being part of the arts club, glad it had now been recognized as an official club and had gotten its own stand at the club far. For her, art and being creative had always been a big part of her life and she knew it was for a lot of others too, which was exactly why a club like this one was so important. She took a seat as she entered the arts room, listening to what the girl leading the club had to say about what they would be doing today. Ana smiled at the idea, quite pleased with it. Creating a posibility to add music as well seemed especially thoughtful for those who weren't as excited about visual art as she was. When the girl in charge finished talking and they were allowed to get started Ana knew exactly what she was going to do, happily taking charge of one of the white squares and looking for the right colours of paint and fabric she'd need to make it happen.

Estella had attended the Conglomerated Arts Club event last year mostly just so she could see what it was like. She wrote an article about it in the Hogwarts Monthly which she hoped the leader of the club enjoyed. The Hufflepuff liked the time that she spent there, and so when she saw the notice that there was another event happening this year, Estella was quick to decide that she would go. The girl made her way down there from her dormitory, hoping she would see some familiar faces that she could work with. Perhaps Sawyer was joining the event this year too? The Hufflepuff entered the room and smiled as the first person she saw was Ana Sofia. She walked over to her and sat down next to her. "Hey! Ready to do some craft?" Estella said to her as the leader began talking. Today they were making a quilt with everyone's creations and Estella thought it was a pretty good idea. She wasn't very confident in her abilities to enchant the square she designed, so she just thought she would skip it for now. When told to begin, the Hufflepuff picked up a white square and began painting it a bright pink colour. She wasn't sure where she was going with it, but pink was a good colour.

Casper was never sure if the arts club made him feel more at home or more alone. He couldn't say he didn't enjoy the crafts, at least. He settled in after the instructions were given, turning his patch over in his hand. Painting was a good choice. He looked over the colors, finding a nice white and some blues. He picked out some purples as well. He was thinking over how he wanted to go about things, turning his fabric square over in his hands.

Sawyer was glad the arts club was now an 'official club', though he wasn't sure how much of a difference that made. Besides maybe getting their photos in the yearbook. Either way, he listened contentedly as Emily explained what they'd be working on, trying to decide what he might do for his quilt square.

Smiling when he spotted Essie and Ana, Sawyer moved over to the paints to continue his mulling for his square. He knew he could store a little song in the quilt, but somehow the thought it'd be something that stuck around the club for ages made that option seem daunting. He'd come up with plenty of terrible little songs in the past, he didn't need a reminder of them. Not that he was any good at painting, but at least he was aware that his painting skills sucked, so the pressure felt less.

"Hey, mind if I use some of that blue?" Sawyer asked, sitting across from an older student he was pretty sure was called Casper. "I'm thinking I'm might keep it simple, right? Stripes or something," he said, tapping his square thoughtfully. @Casper Beckett

Sydney was pleased the Arts Club had managed to stick around long enough to be reinstated as an official club. Not that the title mattered much in the grand scheme, but she liked the idea that other students might realize they could actually express themselves in school outside of the dull, restrictive dance the professors called their curriculum.

She headed over to Emily once she was finished with her introduction, giving her a short nod in greeting. "Good job on keeping this thing together long enough to be official," she said, grabbing a white square for the quilt and a thin paintbrush. Sydney knew Emily was dating Tyler, she clearly she couldn't be all there, but she had some begrudging respect for the girl for dragging the club up out of nothing. Content, Sydney moved to work on her square, deciding she could careful pen a poem in thin, black paint, stretching the square flat with her fingers to get to work. @Emily Underwood

The quiet boy was curious about his first meeting for the art club, making sure he brought along his sketchbook and a couple of spare pencils as well as he had no idea what they might end up doing. As it turned out, he didn't need the sketchbook as they were told to take a square and decorate it so a large quilt could be made from all the pieces. An interesting idea, he supposed, but the instant he got his blank square he found himself rather devoid of inspiration, blinking as the blank space in front of him before frowning. He had no idea what to draw on it.

Lars was happy that the art club was now an official club, though he did wish it had been around since his first year. But he was good enough at keeping himself entertained and inspired with his painting, so it didn't really matter that it hadn't been around when he had been younger. The club had certainly let him explore different artsy things he wouldn't have done otherwise.

Today was another example, as he didn't think he'd ever made a quilt. Emily explained that the white squares would eventually be sewn together to make one quilt, and they were allowed to decorate it how they wanted. Lars grabbed a square and found a spot at one of the tables. Being one of the oldest of the club, he felt a little awkward sometimes. He listened to two younger boys talking nearby, one mentioning using stripes. He dipped his brush into the blue paint as well and started on a blue sky on his square.

Lumio walked excitedly into the congolmerated arts area for their first official meeting and waved excitedly at the leader. He was pretty pleased that this had become a more official thing. It was a little more his speed versus some of the other clubs. It was quite interesting the first thing that they would be doing in this club meeting. He nodded along and though he was a little more magically inclined he decided to do something a little more artistic. He began drawing in one of the squares. it wasn't very good, but he was trying. if it ended up being terrible he would just switch to making something music related.

Eugene had had a more positive experience at the brotherhood so he felt more optimistic about what the arts club would be. he walked into the familiar arts room and it wasn't long till most people had arrived and the leader was going over what they would be doing. A quilt seemed like a nice way to start the club. He was definitely intrigued on how to do the music squares so moment that he could he grabbed some of the instructions and began filling a square, following that to the letter. He wasn't particularly artistic but music, music he could do. So he wanted to do that for this.

Casper looked up when someone spoke to him, surprised that he had come into the other boys notice. "Oh, um, alright," he smiled shyly, sliding the blue over. "Stripes would be fun. Have you thought of a tie-dye or a fade effect?" He asked, taking the purple and white and pulling them closer. He considered what he was going to do himself. "I'm thinking swirls, maybe," he mused, tapping his paintbrush.

Juniper was glad to have a club solely focused on the arts, and today's activity was up her alley. She always had a spare needle and thread, and as she took a seat, she started to stitch some shapes into her square, sorting through the colors of thread she had. She noticed Lars across from her and smiled at her captain. "What are you planning on putting on yours?" she asked the Ravenclaw. @Lars van Houten

Lars was focusing on the painting, adding ligher blue to the top of the square to make the sky less flat in color. He looked up when he heard someone talk to him, only then noticing Juniper sitting near him. He smiled at her and shrugged. "Whenever I don't know what to paint I tend to paint sunflowers, so I think I'll end up doing a field of them." He said. "Yours is looking nice."

@Juniper Zumwalt

Aisa headed into the club room, curious but a bit skeptical about what they were going to do. So far, she hadn't been all that interested in the arts club events. And the idea of a memory quilt didn't particularly excite her. She sighed a bit when Emily explained it, though at least she had thought of the musical people by adding special music boxes. Though Aisa had no idea how they worked, and it didn't seem like Emily was going to explain it. She got started a bit grumpily, trying to figure out how to use them.

Sawyer nodded in thanks as Casper passed the blue over, holding his brush pensively. "I think stripes are about as complicated as I can make it. Painting's not really my thing," he said sheepishly, tentatively dipping his brush in the paint and trying to draw a straight line along the fabric. It wasn't very easy, the paint sticking oddly to the fabric and smearing. "Uh, swirls sound nice, I think," he said, brow furrowed in concentration as he tried again, succeeding in making his line a little neater by sheer virtue of more paint. @Casper Beckett

Casper smiled shyly at Sawyer, looking back to his own patch and concentrating on his own purple swirls.
He feathered in white, blues, a bit of teal. He was liking how it was turning out. After a while, he turned his fabric to Sawyer, looking for his new friends approval.

It was the first time that Kiara came to the art club and she was surely excited about it even more than Heta Omega. She loved Heta, but she was more into arts and when she heard about Emily's idea, she started to cheerfully smile. Kia was totally in that idea, the biggest problem was to decide if she wanted to make her piece with music or paint, at the end, she decided to go with music since she was allowed to draw and paint all the time, but recording her own little song wasn't that possible. Like a week ago she found her old sketchbook from Beauxbatons time and there she found little poem, about diamonds, that she wrote in her second year. She corrected it to more progressive version and even came up with little melody, so all she had to do was make her square in her style.

Juniper smiled at the thought of sunflowers. "Have you ever been to one of those big fields that's just loads of sunflowers? Lots of muggles take pictures with them. It's really cool," she grinned and went back to do a couple stitches on her patch. "Aw, thanks. I'm trying to get better at my detail work, you know? Because things may look good from far away, but it's even cooler up close." She added a few more then looked back up at Lars. "Do sunflowers mean something, or do you just like them?"
