Killian might not have been able to duel when he was a kid - due to his giant genes, this was the next best thing. He did wonder how dueling was in Hogwarts New Zealand versus the dueling that was over in Durmstrang. Only time would tell. This duel, he was monitoring a couple of sixth years. They were among the most educated. And, he actually knew some of the sixth years - those that took his class. So, he was curious to what they had in store. "Choose opposite ends of the stage. When you are ready, bow to your opponent, and begin. Whoever wins will advance." Killian took a step back and folded his arms across his chest to witness the chaos.​

You can find the site rules here. Duels will run until there is a winner or until 6 IRL days have passed, in which case the winner will be chosen by RNG. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!

This should be easy. He was surprised with how few people had signed up for the tournament this year, but he certainly wasn't complaining. One duel and he could call himself champion for the fourth time. He was feeling pretty confident, smiling briefly at his opponent before offering the other boy a bow. He couldn't remember if he had duelled Seamus before, so he was going to have to be careful. But Jingyi was quick off the mark, not hesitating a second to point he wand at the other boy, "Silencio!"

Seamus enjoyed duelling, he just liked being able to cast magic and practice his spells. The teen bowed to his opponent and then dodged out the way of the first spell, focusing on casting back, the Babbling curse.

It was a shame he was only getting one duel, so Jingyi was pretty determined to try and make the most of it and make sure it counted. Quickly casting a shield charm to protect himself, the Gryffindor only had to think for a moment for his next attack before firing back a bat-bogey hex.

He really wanted to win this duel. Really really wanted to win, so he absolutely wasn't going to give Seamus any quarter. He blocked the next spell, narrowing eyes as he shot back a quick Jelly Brain Jinx.

Jingyi managed a deft dodge to avoid the next spell, wanting to keep as much strength as possible for spell casting. He was able to point his wand back at Seamus again quite easily, though, "Stupefy!"

Seamus wasn't one to complain about a fight, but he found stupefy to be rather bland. He managed to block the spell, and though he had just been critical, opted for casting a trip jinx.

Jingyi had taken a trip jinx in the past, and he was more than happy to do it again if it meant conserving some energy. He made sure to tighten his grip on his wand as it hit, his feet flailing over absolutely nothing as he tipped forward, very nearly face-planting the platform. It was only his free hand darting out to stop himself from completely planting into the floor to save himself from the embarrassment. But he still had his wand and he was still on the platform, so was still in the game, sending a rather quick Obscuro in the hopes of giving himself enough time to properly get back to his feet.

It was just a bit of a scramble to get back to his feet, having to cast a shield charm on his way up to properly protect himself from getting knocked right out. But now he was up on his feet, he didn't fancy falling over again, so quickly sent back the babbling curse.
