Yvonne stepped up to the dueling platform and greeted the students with a warm smile. She was pleased to be back proctoring the tournament again and was looking forward to seeing how the students would do. It was a good way to show off what they had learned in their lessons after all. "Welcome to this year's tournament." she said brightly. "The winner of this round will be moving on to the next. Be sure to keep things fair and no funny business or you will be disqualified." Yvonne added trying to seem stern with most likely mixed results. "Now you may face your opponent and bow before beginning. Good luck to you both!"

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours from this to post your first reply, or face disqualification. Once both duelists have posted, you will have 24 hours from your opponents post to reply, or be disqualified. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. Please also remember site rules apply, including power/god modding. You can find the site rules. Duels will run until there is a winner or until 6 IRL days have passed, in which case the winner will be chosen by RNG. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!

Emmanuel thorough enjoy doing the duelling. The teen was always eager to take the time to do the duelling. He smiled eagerly at his opponent. He bowed to them and then stepped back. He raised his wand and then cast, "Stupefy,"

Mischa had enjoyed the duelling tournament the previous year, but this year he wanted to win it. He eagerly bounced from foot to foot, not really paying much attention to what the Professor was saying. He bowed when instructed, but his opponent was quicker to the draw. But that didn't mean he wasn't ready, Mish still managed to cast a quick Protego to protect himself before aiming his wand and sending back a quick Rictusempra.

Mish grinned a little when he managed to make the other boy have to to dodge out of the way, but he knew not to be too cocky about things. He could still mess this up. So he concentrated, once more casting a quick protego before aiming his wand across the platform again, "Petrificus Totalus!"

While he wanted to win, he supposed he didn't want this to be a short duel. It was more fun when it was all drawn out. Raising his wand to also block the next spell, Mish only thought about his next attack for a second before sending back a Jelly Fingers Curse.

Mischa was just a little slow raising his wand to try and block the next spell, but when it hit he did have to pause and wonder what had just happened. Then he reached up with one hand, feeling the antlers sticking out of the top of his head and scowled. "Hey!" he huffed, whipping his wand quickly back to the Ravenclaw and firing back a Leek Jinx as revenge.
