Nikko took a deep breath as he set out all the supplies for the days practice. He was ready to get started and hoped the team was up for the challenge. Try-outs had gone better than he expected and as captain had to make some tough cuts. They had a lot of new and untested players this year and without getting a head of himself he dared to be a bit optimistic about what the season might hold. It was his last year on the team and he wanted to leave on a good note one way or another. He looked up as the rest of the team started to arrive and he waved them all over. "Good afternoon everyone!" he greeted. "Congratulations to all new and returning members, and welcome to the first practice of the year. Since we have two keepers and two seekers we're going to split into two teams. Flynn, Isaiah, Zephryn, and I will be on one team, the Red team. Then that leaves the rest of you on team Gold." he explained. "Chasers, I know it's a bit uneven but do your best. Louis and Soren, I want you guys to get comfortable working together and helping each other out. Beaters, focus on hitting the bludgers but try and protect your seekers too. And seekers you know what to do." he said before looking to Ronald. "I'll take the North hoop and you take south, alright?" With that all settled he blew his whistle and took to the air with the rest of the team.

Also I'm not going to bother keeping track of bludger hits so beaters go wild. If you know your character has been hit three times feel free to RP them taking a water break and getting back to practice if you'd like.

Evie hadn't ever been keen for something as much as this. She was going to play Quidditch, actual Quidditch, representing her house at Hogwarts, and the thought of that made her very excited. She was only an alternate, but it was a foot in the door, and she was eager to get started. She was one of the first to make it to the Quidditch Pitch with her shiny new broom in hand. The captain began splitting everyone into teams, and Evie was in the gold team. She mounted her broom when instructed and immediately found a bludger to hit. She hit it towards Flynn, beaming as it headed straight for him.

Soren was super excited for his first practice. Jumping into the air with the others, he grabbed the quaffle and took off.
 
It was still weird seeing Nikko leading the Quidditch team instead of Lysander, but he supposed he was going to get used to it. It was also nice to have a normal practice, not some stupid idea to have everyone playing seeker. Yawning as he swung a leg over his broom, he wasn't even a foot in the air before a bludger was heading right for him. "OI!" He bellowed, turning on the newbie with a dark scowl once he had actually made it into the air, "Wait until I'm at least off the bloody ground before smacking a bludger at me."
 
Isaiah was stoked for another season of quidditch, especially now that he had made it into a starter position. He grinned at Nikko when he reached the pitch and listened to what the boy had to say before hopping onto his broom.
 
Huffing now that was out of the way, Flynn turned on his broom and started searching properly for the snitch.
 
Evie just chuckled as the seeker yelled out to her. It was part of the game, and she couldn't help being so good at it. The Gryffindor just kept flying around the pitch in search for more bludgers.
 
Isaiah chased after a bludger and gave it a good smack, grimacing slightly as he send it sailing right at his own girlfriend @Elara Chatelain.
 
Aurora had been pretty calm when she'd made it on to the team in front of the rest of the team, but in the dorm with Rosie, she had screamed in excitement. Now, she was on the pitch for her first ever tryout. The nimbus 2001 in hand, the beater bat in the other. She went up into the air, and despite wanting to prove herself missed the first bludger she tried to hit.
 
Flynn simple tried to block out everyone else as he focused on finding the snitch.
 
When Evie saw another bludger, she eagerly swung her bat back to hit it again. She aimed for Flynn again, but unfortunately it headed for @Aurora Archer instead.

Flynn kept his eyes down and contniued his search.
 
Aurora felt the hit and was surprised by how painful bludgers were. They'd never really played with bludgers properly since the real things were dangerous. So, her first real hit was no fun. She couldn't even hit anything herself as payback.
 
Flynn contniued to fly around, determined to catch the snitch first.
 
Isaiah grimaced when one of their new beaters hit a bludger at the other, taking a second to see if the girl was alright before continuing to chase after a bludger himself.
 
Zee was thrilled to be able to play Quidditch once more. She had been practicing over break, even more determined than the previous year to have Gryffindor win. She entered onto the Quidditch Pitch, wasting no time before getting into the air. She flew after the new chaser who grabbed the quaffle, hoping to be able to steal it from him when he wasn't looking.
 
Isaiah hit the bludger he had been chasing in no particular direction.
 
Elara was glad to be back on the team, even as an alternate. She was so happy that Zay had found a spot as beater. Soon, she hoped. Hitting the air, it was only a moment before she felt a bludger hit her and quickly looked over to see it was her boyfriend. "If you wanted my attention, you could have just asked," she laughed.
 
Turning on his broom, he was surprised to see a glint of gold. It wasn't long before he was rushing after it, wrapping his hand around the fluttering golden ball with a smirk.
 
Isaiah chased after another bludger and gave it a good whack, sending it flying for @Louis Alcott. He wasn't too keen on hitting the new players but at the same time he felt it would be better for them to have their first hit be a practice bludger rather than an actual one during a game.

Letting the snitch go again, Flynn was feeling a bit more confident about things as he waited for a moment before flying off again.
 
Aurora could still feel the pain of the bludger that had hit her, but she was continuing to try to find a bludger to hit.
 
The snitch had vanished again, but Flynn was sure he would find it again eventually.
 
Zay looked for another bludger.
 
Flynn continued to fly as he kept looking, hoping that he could make a quick catch.
