Y39 Slytherin Practice S1

Ruben was feeling the exasperation of not catching the snitch, what was going on with him?!

At first, Celia had just been glad that she was hitting people. But now, she was starting to grow worried. If she missed her intended targets in a game, she could end up accidentally hitting one of her teammates. Resolving to work on her aim, Celia flew after another bludger.

Indi rolled her eyes and Liusaidh scored again and wasted no time swiping the quaffle as it was thrown back into the game.

Celia tried to hit the bludger towards Ruben, but he was gone by the time the ball reached the space he'd left. She shrugged her shoulders up and down a couple times before moving them in circles. Hitting bludgers was a lot more tiring than tennis. She'd thought the two sports would be similar, but at least in tennis, she could use her legs to generate power. This was all core and upper body strength.

Indi approached the hoops and quietly whispered some words of encouragement to herself before throwing the quaffle. But her shot went wide and she frowned. She couldn't figure out why she doing so horrible today but she took a deep breath and tried to stay calm.

Ruben kept searching the snitch, no luck on that task yet.

Indi waited to see who would grab the quaffle next. Her pride had taken a bruising during practice and she was willing to give it a short break while she could.

Lucie thought the beaters were doing quite well, but dreaded the moment she would get hit by one again. As the chaser's shot went wide, Lucie threw the quaffle back out.

Natalia was determined to score. She grabbed the quaffle as it was thrown back into play, flying off with it.

Natalia flew up to the hoops, feeling frustrated when she failed to score again.

Finally when all hope seemed lost Ruben saw a golden spark from the corner of his eye. He raced in that direction hoping Ivelisse hadn't seen it and as he got closer he noticed it was indeed the snitch. He chased it around the pitch and managed to grab it, he raised it in his hand before letting it go once more.

Once the bludger was in range, Celia tried to hit it towards Ruben, but he suddenly took off. She watched as he chased after the snitch and caught it. Though that was definitely good for the team, she was a bit disappointed she hadn't been able to hit him with a second bludger. Hopefully she'd manage it before the end of practice.

As soon as Ruben got searching again the snitch was easy to find again. He chased it around the pitch and wrapped his fingers around it, Ivelisse's lucky streak seemed to have ended for his sake. It was time for her to watch and learn. He released the snitch and hoped he would find it again as quickly.

Another bludger flew at her, and Celia was about to hit it when she realized the angle wouldn't be right. She bailed at the last minute and pressed her broom down, ducking under the ball. She could feel it skim the fabric of her robes, and she shivered. That had been way too close for comfort.

Indi grabbed the quaffle as it was tossed back into the game. She had to make at least one goal. She held it close as she made her way around the pitch before trying again.

Ivelisse was pretty pleased with how she had been doing so far, continuing her search for the snitch yet again.

Celia whacked another bludger towards Ruben, but it flew off course and into @Daintree Vaskevold. She glared at the ball, unable to find any gratification in the hit even though it meant she'd now hit everyone on the team at least once. Of course. Of course the bludger had to hit the other beater the one time she wasn't specifically aiming for him.

Indi swore as she missed again. She was starting to think the hoops might be charmed or something.

Lucie was on a roll blocking every shot that came her way. It made her a lot more confident for the upcoming game. The girl caught the quaffle and threw it back out into play.

Ivelisse kept searching.

Celia dodged another bludger before turning around and pursuing it. She tried to hit it towards a group of players clustered near the end of the pitch, but it spiraled away harmlessly.

After Indi failed to score again, Natalia grabbed the quaffle. She was determined to do better, though it seemed now like they were both doing pretty bad.

Ivelisse felt like she had already quite proven her skill, but that didn't mean she wasn't keen on possibly catching the snitch again.

Celia was growing weary, but she knew she couldn't slow down. The bludgers were still as active as ever, and if she stayed still for too long, they would inevitably find her. She hadn't been hit yet, and she had no plans of changing that.

Indi kept close to Natalia as she grabbed the quaffle and she grinned when she spotted an opening. She came up close and swiped the ball and raced away to try again. @Natalia Novak
