Ruben was a bit nervous about this practice, it was his first as co-captain and he had no clue what he was doing, the good thing was that Daintree was there to help. The boy was there waiting for everyone to arrive excited and hopeful that these new players would help them getting the house cup once more, but first they needed to be trained into shape.
Once the players had a arrived Ruben started his speech "Hey everyone, welcome to the team. If you are here it's because both Daintree and me saw potential in you during practice so, don't make us regret our decision" he said with a smile, he sure wouldn't go easy on them, when he joined the team no one went soft on him and he turned out okay.
He looked at Daintree to see if he hd anything to add and after he clapped his hands together "Well then let's start practice, chasers let's practice those passes but if you have a chance to score go for it. Parker and Lucie, one on each side of the field and don't make easy for the chasers. Daintree and Celia focus on me and Ivelisse" he said to everyone finishing with a look at Daintree as if telling him to help Celia in case she struggled, hopefully he had gotten the message. He turned to Ivelisse "You know what to do, don't make it easy for me, I won't make it easy for you either" he told the girl with an grin. And with that said he grabbed his broom and headed up to try and find the snitch.

While Natalia was glad to have made the team, she was a bit frustrated to be an alternate. Especially because Indi wasn't, and she knew her roommate would rub that in her face. She listened as the captain started speaking. She was glad when he was done so she could get started. She managed to grab the quaffle once the practice started and tucked it under her arm. She had no intention of passing to anyone.

Daintree arrived at the pitch as Ruben did. He nodded along with what the boy said, and then at the end just nodded. He got on his broom, his beater bat in hand ready to get to practice.

Liusaidh flew into the air when she was allowed to and followed the new chaser as she flew off with the ball. Liusaidh was a bit surprised Natalia was that keen on quidditch, but didn't mind at all, so long as she still got her glory.

Ivelisse was content to have made the team as an alternate, although she hadn't expected anything else. She listened to one of their captains as he started talking, grinning when he eventually turned to her. "Sure." She responded with a small nod, before getting on her broom and pushing off into the air. She looked around for a second and almost as if fate was on her side she immediately caught a glimpse of gold from the corner of her eye. Determined, she chased after it as it moved along the pitch even surprising herself when she managed to wrap her hand around it. "You mean like this?" She called to the captain as she held it up for him to see.

Parker was still surprised that he got on the team and still was taken back by the question, why did he even try-out? However, he listened to what Ruben said and obediently flew to his side of the pitch, carefully following the quaffle to not miss it.

Ruben was searching for the snitch when he heard Ivelisse, he smiled at her "And that's why you made it to the team. Good job, keep that up!" he said swallowing his pride. He started searching the pitch for the snitch again, he was sure he could find it.

Natalia flew up to the hoops and tried to score. To her frustration, her attempt was blocked.

Ivelisse grinned after she had released the snitch, giving it a second before starting her search again. Even after letting it fly away she somehow managed to spot the glint of gold quite quickly again, setting of to chase after it. She put all her focus on the little ball, hoping to get to it before Ruben would spot it as well. “Got it!” She called out proudly when she felt her fingers wrap around the snitch a second time.

Liusaidh was pretty glad when natalia falled to score. She caught the ball as it was thrown back out and headed to the hoops again.

Daintree was very surprised with how quickly the alternate seeker caught the snitch, and then caught it again. He wasn't sure what Slytherin seekers were drinking but they were just better than the rest. He had thought Slytherin's chances would get a little worse without Blake but they were probably going to be just fine. He was trying to keeper the bludgers away for the team.

Parker still stayed focused on the quaffle, even if he still supported Ivelisse with a loud hurray. She was doing an impressive job. They just had to hope that they will be as good in the game.

Ivelisse had let go of the snitch again, smiling when she heard another player cheer for her. That was certainly something she could get used to.

Natalia stayed near Liusaidh, in case she felt like passing the quaffle to her.

Indi couldn't believe that Natalia had made the team. She wasn't even sure why she wanted to be on the team. But at least she had a year of experience on the other girl and she wasn't about to let her forget that. She frowned as Natalia grabbed the quaffle first but laughed as she missed her first attempt. Indi knew they would have to act like a team when it was an actual game but this was practice and she wasn't about to make it easy on her either. She kept close to Liusaidh waiting to see if she would get a chance to steal.

Celia had been pleased but not entirely surprised to see that she'd made the team. The more she thought about it, the more it made sense. After the game against Ilvermorny, the team needed a refresh. She was just glad that the captains had had enough sense to pick her. But more than that, she was happy for a chance to fly, to compete. Growing up, her parents had always signed her up for a million and one activities, and it was nice to get back to a busy schedule. Last year had been miserable as she'd spent the entire time wandering the castle and studying for classes, bored out of her mind. Making the team was a sign that things would change this year.

She listened to Ruben's instructions, which were so obvious they verged on condescending. Like she'd bother aiming for anyone else. Celia mounted her broom and kicked off, immediately heading for the nearest bludger. She tried to bat it towards Ruben, but it missed him completely. Frowning, Celia scanned the sky for the second bludger. She wanted a chance to redeem herself.

As soon as Liusaidh was close enough she threw the ball and it sailed in one of the hoops. She cheered loudly for herself. Pleased she'd managed it. She could help but throw a quick smirk at Natalia.

Daintree couldn't hit any bludgers in the right direction yet to hit players but was managing to get them out of the way.

Celia caught sight of the other bludger and took off after it. But just as she was about to catch up to it, she had to quickly swerve to avoid another player, and the bludger shot out of range. She'd thought her flying skills to be quite good when she practiced by herself, but it was clear that sharing the pitch with nine other players would be a bit trickier. And it would get worse during an actual game. Celia grit her teeth together, redirected her course, and continued to pursue the bludgers.

Parker was still on the alert about the quaffle, hoping to not miss a lot of scores. He supported anyone who scored, hit the bludger or caught the snitch, he couldn't imagine being out on the pitch for that long, he preferred being around hoops, even if he was just an alternate.

Celia caught up to a bludger and smacked it as hard as she could, letting her frustration power her swing. It shot off but didn't hit anyone, and she gave another huff of annoyance. Her only consolation was that Daintree hadn't managed to hit anyone either. But it was annoying to see her roommate doing so well, especially since Celia knew that Ivelisse technically had the harder job.

Indi didn't waste any time and grabbed the quaffle after Liusaidh scored and started to make her way around the pitch. The other two had their chances and now it was her turn.

Ivelisse continued looking for the snitch.

Lucie was excited for quidditch practice and eager to play on the team as a keeper. She kept her ground as the chasers began attempting to take shots. They already let one in and the third year sighed as she tried to keep her focus.

Parker continued to follow what was going on and tried to not lose focus to not let anything in.
