Leading the competitors of the second round to the duelling platform, Katherine gestured for each of them to take up a position at either end, while she herself stepped up to a podium overlooking them. With a tap of her wand in the air, the headmistress pointed the tip at her throat, speaking out in a magically-amplified voice. "Welcome back, competitors, to the second round of duelling. Wands at the ready, and prepare yourselves for the duel ahead." Katherine called, giving the students an opportunity to take on a comfortable stance. "Now, bow and commence."

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours to post, or face disqualification. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!
As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

Juniper was ecstatic she'd beaten Lysander yet again. If she hadn't, the Ravenclaw was quite sure Sydney would have never forgiven her. However, she still had one more round to compete in order to keep her current title. She winked at Ajax once the Headmistress moved, barely bowing before sending a jelly brain jinx.

Ajaccio knew he was the least competitive of his year group when it came to duellirng. He knew he was the worst at it, if he got far it was because of luck. So he found himself facing off with Juniper sure he would not win. He was still smiling and was in a good mood. He blocked her first spell and followed it up with the stinging hex

Juniper felt pretty good about this round of dueling, knowing she had a decent chance of winning. She'd beaten Ajax before and could do it again. Juniper blocked her opponent's spell. "Langlock!"

Juniper was getting a little cocky. She'd won the past few years and also was the co-leader of the SDA. It was impossible for her not to win. As she went to block Ajax's spell, she was too slow and felt the spell hit her wand hand, the piece of wood flying through the air as it landed on the platform. Boils began to shoot up her arm and spread across her body as she looked flabbergasted in pain. There was no way she just lost, but it seemed like that was the case. Juniper felt her blood boiling (not literally) as she stared Ajax dead in the eye, tears starting to well. Sydney was gonna kill her.
