Y37 Sorting Ceremony

Connor Chamberlin did not like the idea of leaving his mother and sister behind, but it was time that he too went to Hogwarts to learn all about magic. His uncle Bryce Chamberlin taught here. His aunt's husband, Lucius, was a nurse here. And, he had a handful of cousins attending. Wade and Beau, both in their third year now, and in Gryffindor and Ravenclaw respectfully. He also mastered sign language for Beau as well. Connor walked into the doors and looked through the Great hall. It was magical, but his mother had no idea what it looked like. She went to Beauxbatons after all, and moved to New Zealand once she had him and Paisley. He knew that his name would be called eventually, but he hoped that he might not have to share a house with his cousins. Though, he would not mind if he did. At least he would know someone. His name was called, so Connor walked up to the stool and sat down. He did not flinch as he felt the hat upon his head. He merely gave a small smile to those waiting their turn, as he too felt somewhat eager to know what color combination he would be wearing for the next seven years.

"Do colours matter a whole lot to you? Well then...I hope you like yellow and black.....Hufflepufff,"

Freya knew that nothing terrible would just have to be calm and keep a cool mind, and soon learn the house, which is destined to be for the remaining seven years. As soon as her name was named the girl for a long time did not think went up the stairs and put on her hat. Sure, there was a small ray of hope that would end up in the same tower with the sister, but they had little hope for how it will be. The girl promised her parents to help her sister when she needed it. however, Freya had to think of himself as well, because he could not always think of others, but also of himself. Because you won't think of yourself, no one else will think of you. That was Freya's motto. Although it didn't matter, because sorting was important now. All that was left was to wait for the Sorting hut decision.

"My decision is important and in this case quite simple.....Ravenclaw,"

Rune could not believe he was finally at Hogwarts New Zealand, around people his own age. This would be his first attempt at a formal schooling, his previous experience was learning about mathematics in his mother's garden taking breaks to play a game of Football with his twin brother. This would be a whole different experience, one Rune was excited about. He had to admit he was also slightly nervous. What if no one liked him? What if he never made any friends without the help of Ryder? What if, what if, what if. The what if's continued to swirl through his mind as he entered the Great Hall.

It was just what he had read about in his books, just like what Marlow had told him about. The beauty for a moment took away his fear racing through his mind. Rune listened to the Headmistress's speech. He listened to each word, hanging on them for importance. After all Hogwarts did not seem to have a pamphlet of things he needed to know. He was just being thrown into the deep end.

The Sorting Hat sang it's song, Rune clapping as it came to an end. Instantly he wondered if that was the right move. Did he seem weird now? Shyly he smiled as he looked down at his feet. He waited for his name to be called, first of the Sanderson twins. For once, he was first.

"Sanderson, Rune"

Rune wandered up to the stool, trying to keep a cool and collected look on his face. The hat was placed over his head, his thoughts began racing again. He was worried if he would fit into any of the houses. He was not particularly brave. He guess he was kind, but he often did not consider himself hard working. He did not feel intelligent enough for Ravenclaw and Slytherin, well his father broke into laughter when Rune asked if he would be in Slytherin, one huge joke. Rune tried to calm down his thoughts as he waited for the Sorting Hat to make an almost life changing decision.

"You wouldn't do as poorly in Slytherin like your father thinks....but it wouldn't suit you. You'll be amazing in a house suited to you.......Hufflepuff!"

Finally arriving to Hogwarts, being sorted, learning magic was all Pascal had waited for the last few years. It was a milestone to begin the rest of his life and a starting point on his journey to growing up and becoming the star he always knew he would be. Such an important ceremony with all that it signified, deserved Pascal to make an entrance to remember, and after planning over the space of weeks how he and Maggi would walk into the great hall for the first time, Pascal was nothing more than excited on the train ride to Hogwarts. It would be an introduction of Hogwarts to Pascal, and Pascal to Hogwarts where he would spend the next seven years of his schooling and said introduction needed to be nothing short of perfect. Pascal was tempted to practice on the train, having almost bounced up and down with energy but he refrained, holding back knowing it would spoil the surprise when they finally got to Hogwarts.

As the train arrived and the soon to be first years were separated from the rest of the students, eventually getting ready to walk into the great hall in a group, Pascal took in a deep breath, moving to the front of the group with Maggi and squaring his shoulders as he looked over to her, ready for their performance. As the doors opened to reveal the magical great hall, Pascal exhaled, quickly stepping ahead of the group with Maggi and moving to cartwheel rather than walk to the end of the hall, laughing to himself at how happy he was to make what he hoped was a memorable first impression on the rest of the school. As Pascal reached the front of the hall where the sorting ceremony would take place, he knelt down and held his arms out as if to say “Ta-da” as he smiled widely at the headmistress. He then stood to his feet and waited with the rest of the group as each student began to be sorted, waiting until he heard his name as he knew he would be sorted before Maggi, and destined to know his placement as she waited for hers.

Soon enough he heard “Monsanto, Pascal.” Echo throughout the hall and with a wide smile and confident posture Pascal stepped forward, sitting down on the stool and closing his eyes as the sorting hat was placed over his head. Pascal did not have a preference to which house he wanted, only hoping the hat would place him in a house that would turn him into the star he always dreamed of being. It didn't seem like too much to ask, as far as Pascal was concerned, as he waited patiently for the hat's decision.

"You'd like to be a star? Hmmmm...There are plenty of houses that would let you, each for different reasons....but for you, your stardom will begin best is.....Gryffindor,"

As excited as she was to finally be at Hogwarts, ready to learn to use magic, part of Maggi already regretted coming here. Would it really be seven years before she could take to the stage again?! She knew learning magic was important, but coming here felt like being torn away from her life's purpose. If it hadn't been for her cousin by her side, Maggi almost didn't know if she would be here at all. But here she was, and she was determined to make the most of it. Maggi was going to be the best at magic, just like she was the best at everything else, and when she had finished her time at school, the stage would be ready to welcome her back with open arms.

A big entrance, at least, made all the difference. Maggi was glad she and Chip had planned well in advance, it made the sorting ceremony less of a scary unknown. This was going to be their big first impression, to show the school a couple of stars had arrived, and Maggi was ready. She met Chip's eyes as they budged their way to the front of the group and grinned, the butterflies in her stomach settling as she went over the choreography in her head. She could make anything into a performance, and Chip was the perfect partner in crime. As the doors opened she braced herself and lunged into a cartwheel alongside Chip, the well-rehearsed entrance flowing perfectly. Like perfectly aligned cogs she tumbled in time with her cousin, stopping to strike a pose when they reached their target and joining cheerfully in with his, 'ta-da!' to finish things off.

Their entrance had gone perfectly, and that assuaged most of Maggi's nerves, but now came the waiting. And that was the worst part. Maggi had never hated her last name before, but as the list of students began at A and slowly, agonisingly trickled down, Maggi felt the unfamiliar butterflies of nervousness trickle back. What if she wasn't in the same house as Chip?! She didn't know what she would do with herself. She actually winced slightly as he was called, but quickly covered it by clapping for her cousin, always determined to support him to be his best. She watched as the hat slipped down on his head and did its job, waving as Chip made his way over to his newly assigned house. She could only wait and hope that she would follow him there. Finally once the group of new students had trickled down to almost none Maggi's turn came, and she plastered a brilliant winning smile on her face as she approached the seat, sitting down with a flourish. Wherever she went, Maggi knew she was just going to give it her all, and make the next seven years the performance of a lifetime.

"Not everything needs to be a performance....but you will preform best, without a doubt in........Gryffindor,"

Juno was sad to leave the train and be stuck in a stationary building. He liked the feeling of going somewhere and, while the destination was proving to be not so bad, he would have liked more time to process what on earth was going on. The part about magic being real was easy enough for Juno to wrap his head around, but the wizard boarding school angle wasn't something he'd considered when his mother revealed she was a witch. Before then, Juno had vaguely wondered if his Hogwarts letter was another prank by his cousins. He hadn't really believed that his cousins were capable of trying to pull of something as elaborate as a secret magical world just to mess with him, but now he kind of wished they had. It was a lot to take in all at once.

The ceiling stole his attention as Juno entered the room along with the pack of new students. He tried distracting himself from the overwhelming blur of noise and colour that surrounded him, and instead focused on the floating candles and Juno really wanted to touch one. The walls of the Great Hall looked like they'd make decent enough handholds and Juno wondered if he'd be able to climb up and launch himself into the sky to hang off one of the candles. His eyes snapped back to the front of the room as he tried to follow the song that the hat appeared to be singing, but was utterly lost. Juno grinned nervously as his name was called, internally cursing the entire concept of the alphabet for making him go up so early and letting everybody stare at him.

"Hmmmm.....Interesting...I can see some elements of a few houses....but ahhh yes, I know.....Hufflepuff,"

Hale had heard about this moment from her sister and her cousins, but no matter what image she had in her head, it didn't quite compare to the real thing. She waited with the other children, wishing that she'd been lucky enough to be doing this with someone she knew already as Acre had, but instead Hale was here by herself, which meant that she had to put on a brave face and show that she didn't need anyone at this point. She didn't want to show that she was a baby. The eleven year old had been mentally preparing herself to go to secondary school on the off chance that she'd accidentally be born as a squib, but as she'd recieved her letter a few months ago, she was finally allowing herself to become excited about joining Hogwarts. As her name was called, the blonde moved through the crowd and up towards the stool, where she took a seat and waited to hear which house she was going to be placed in. As long as it wasn't Slytherin, for as much as she loved her sister she didn't want her to influence too much of her own education now that she was here, Hale would be happy.

"Goodness no child, not slytherin for you, though the house is as good as any other, it is not the place for you. You've a relaxed and curious nature to you....would suit you to hufflepuff....but better to....Ravenclaw"

Ben arrived in the great room, stressed of course. His cousin Hilda had explained the process of the ceremony to him when she came to pick him up at the station, which had cheered him up and distressed him. But the latter was up when he saw the number of students present in the room, he tried to make his way through the crowd through the crowd, himself being jostled in all directions.Arriving at a rather quiet place, he looked around for the Gryffindor table where his cousin was, this one was threwing her thumbs up in encouragement.

"Benjamin Dreyer"

As soon as he heard his name he walked up to the stool but on the way tripped over someone's feet and fell down hard.He heard some laughter from some of the students when he got up, he felt himself blush with shame at the same time as he sat on the seat where the sorting hat was placed on his head.

"There is nothing to be ashamed about, you'd be surprised about how many students on their way to my stool...for you.....Hufflepuff,"

Ryder entered the Great Hall. This was definitely a new experience for him. All his life, he had been homeschooled with his siblings, having such freedom. Of course as one would wrongly assume, he could have ended up anti-social, but that was not the case. Ryder played as many sports as possible, socializing with his teammates (most of the day taking charge). He always knew best, knew what he needed to succeed, to make his father proud. Of course his mother always seemed proud of him, that did not seem to mean much to the brown haired boy.

Ryder followed the first years up to the front of the Great Hall. He was standing next to his brother Rune. Rune looking like a nervous wreck. Ryder gave his brother a slight push, probably harder than necessary. It was his way of comforting him, even if it did not look like that was the case. Ryder had always been the 'older' twin even if their parents had never quite said who was borned first. Ryder knew it had to be him though, he was always first. Except for now of course. Alphabetical order ruined that.

After the speech was over, much of which Ryder tuned out looking at the ceiling above. Magic was really something, even he could admit that. But the young boy's focus was taken when a hat began to sing. His older sister had told him about the sorting hat as had his parents, but it certainly was a sight to see. A smile spread across his face as he heard the Sorting Hat's version of each house. Ryder's father was a Slytherin, his mother had been a Hufflepuff, while Marlow was also following in his father's footsteps and became a Slytherin. This did made Ryder a little jealous. She doesn't even care about anything but art He thought knowing deep down he did love his sister, just did not understand her.

Ryder's brother was the first to be sorted as the Hat called out Hufflepuff. Typical He thought knowing his brother very much took after their kind hearted and sensitive mother. He clapped for his brother anyway, happy that he looked less nervous now that it was over with. But now it was time for the real event. Now it was Ryder's turn.

"Sanderson, Ryder."

Ryder ran his hands through his hair, messy it up a little bit as he walked towards the front of the room tempted to give a bow, knowing it would be overkill until people got to know his sense of humor better. As the young boy sat on the stool, the Sorting Hat was placed on his head, flattening his messy hair. I hear we have a say He thought feeling strange thinking (or talking he guessed) to a hat. I just want to be the best. Maybe the house with the best Quidditch Team. He thought honestly. He sat and waited for the Sorting Hat to decide where he would fit best, where he would be able to stand out.

"Well....that's easy....with a number of consecutive quidditch cup wins....Slytherin,"

Matteo Burke was the first of his immediate family to attend Hogwarts New Zealand, His father attending Durmstrang, and his mother attended Hogwarts Scotland, and was sorted into Slytherin (which wasn't surprising given his family's background). He was just glad that he wasn't named after Caractacus. It was such a dumb name, he thought. It sounded too close to Cactus. Matt's first name was Italian, which dove into his father's side. Matt had plenty of family members around, including a couple in the school. He knew that even if he didn't have the Cardosi name, it was still in his blood. Since his last name started with a B, it did not take long for Matt to hear his name. He walked up to the stool and plopped down. He waited to see what house he was going to be in. He looked back at Professor Jacqueline Styx and Professor Kalif Styx, giving his relatives a small wave in greeting.

"A rather simple choice....Slytherin,"

Tobias King could hardly believe that he was finally attending Hogwarts New Zealand! His mom used to teach here, and also used to run the school. She was close friends to the deputy that was no longer here either. Toby didn't know what to expect when he walked into the door, since it was all kept to a surprise. His sister Riley would be sorted soon, and she was named after his late, older sister that he had never met. Toby smiled as he walked toward the front, and waited his turn for sorting. Oh, this was just so exciting! Toby waited until his name was called. Once it was, he walked up to the stool and felt the hat touch his brown hair. He just had one thought, "Please, I really want Gryffindor like my mom! Please!"

"You don't have to ask, this is a very clear choice for me. Have fun child! Gryffindor"

Athene Styx was not surprised when she was accepted into Hogwarts New Zealand. While her parents were both Hufflepuff, Athene did not care what house she was sorted into. She looked over toward her brother, who was also in Hufflepuff. Athene waited patiently for her name to be called so that she could get this over with. She heard her name at long last. The Styx child walked up to the stool and sat down, for the hat to be lowered over her head, even covering her eyes. She waited for her new house.

"Like your family, you'd be fine in Hufflepuff....but you will excel far more in......Ravenclaw,"

Gianna took a deep breath as she walked into the Great Hall with the rest of the first years. She looked around once, briefly taking in the curious stares of the older students who were already seated before looking ahead again. A couple minutes later, the group was lined up at the head of the hall, before a stool on which sat a brown hat--the famous Sorting Hat, which she'd heard so much about from her parents. She perused it thoughtfully, wondering how in the world it could possibly know which house each student belonged to. After a moment, she decided it didn't matter how it knew--the point was, it just KNEW.

She waited impatiently as student after student was called up and Sorted. Sometimes the Hat took less than a minute to announce a House; sometimes it took longer. Gianna groaned to herself. She wished her name began with an 'A', as waiting was getting very boring. At long last, however, she heard her name called out, and she made her way as gracefully as she could up to the stool and sat down, waiting for her new House to be announced.

"Well....aren't you curious....you'd find friendship and success in slytherin, gryffindor or ravenclaw. Hmmm...I think the one that would suit you best, is the one best suited to that intelligence.....Ravenclaw,"

Aerin tightly held Boa's leash to her as she walked near the back of the crowd, a bunch of other first years. The room was crowded for sure, as she could hear more than many voices talking over each other. Boa stopped beside her, as the rest of the crowd did. A woman's voice welcomed the students as she explained some rules and a couple of procedures. Aerin had already heard something similar from her father, he had explained it to her more than enough and so she was ready. She waited for her name to be called as she decided to start conversation with a boy beside her. Soon, he was called, and later Aerin. "Go, Boa." She said, as her dog complied.

They reached the front of the room, she sat down on the chair and waited for whatever the sorting hat had in store for her.

"The drive for adventure will suit you well in.....Gryffindor,"

It couldn't be said that Tessa was scared like an aspen leaf all this time, but when the girl's name was heard, her heart was shaking. Slowly and enjoyable at first, but after a while reminiscent of the winged Vedas, which strike the body with all possible force. Yes, she was worried, but the long-awaited information after years about where Tessa would be sorted and, most importantly, whether her brother would be in one place, did not leave the brunette's mind.

Tessa cramply released her gripped hand and wiped the sweaty palm on her black cloth. Without a brother.

The support she felt was unstable and the road to the sorting hut was spent like a haze. One, step, two, faster and faster. She slipped on the chair and an interesting-looking hat leaned against Tessa's thought-filled head. She wondered what would happen if it were decided to put a girl like Ravenclaw as her mother, but a brother somewhere else. What would Tessa do? Could she learn purposefully at all without the support of her best friend? What would parents say? Would it be possible to somehow talk to management to change the choice? It doesn't seem like that would have happened in the history of Hogwarts, but it may be the first time, has it?

God, Tessa's mind sighed, and she straightened in the chair, inadvertently touching the pen hidden under the school clothes with her cold fingers, which she could not leave behind. It was like a mascot of luck given to the girl by her brother.

"There's no need for for luck here, everything is a careful balance of what you want and what is right...which for you is.....Hufflepuff,"

Elitsa Zhefarovich stood arm in arm with her other sister. They were born 1 day after Naiden and Pavlina, so those two were sorted last year. Elitsa hated habing to wait, but here she was. She looked around at the peers, and started to judge. The best thing about Elitsa was that, if she trusted someone, she would keep heir secrets to the death. Howevver, getting to that point would be a sore challenge. As the crowd dwindled down, after so many people were sorted into the four houses. She did not want to be separated from her siblings, but choosing between Naiden and Pavlina, that was hard. Slytherin or Ravenclaw. One or the other. She dared not to go into another one. Then again, having one in each house could prove useful.

"You would be suited to both, an almost perfect balance between those two houses......but in saying that there's just a little more intelligence than pure cunning so let's go with....Ravenclaw,"

Nathaniel held both sisters arm, Alice went first and all he could do was hug her, wish her the best and then let her go. And then he stayed with Tessa, he pressed her hand a little bit to show that he was there and put his cheek on her head, he actually didn't care where he would get but he still was excited to know where is his place.

Then he had to let Tessa stay on her own, he smiled at her and then went closer to hat. He felt calm even in front of everyone, he didn't have to talk, did he? Hat just needed to choose best place for him, he didn't have to answer to any question, he didn't have to fill any test or show anything in front of everyone. It was going to be okay.

"You certainly have a quiet bravery to you.....Gryffindor,"

Alice held on to Nathaniel's hand that he didn't want to let go. She watched each student put on her hat and sorted her into her house. The two girls' sisters seem to have entered the same towers, and she wanted to. However, there was nothing to foretell, because their fate was now in the hat. Until her name was called Alice released her brother's hand, pressed luck to kiss him on the cheek, then went up the stairs. With trembling hands, he took off his hat, sat on a chair, and put on his hat.

The excitement overwhelmed her completely, though the words that sounded over her lips indicated that she wanted to be in the same house with her brother and sister. They were triplets and never separated, and Alice wanted it to stay that way now. She asked the hat to put her where the brother and sister because it really really mattered. Alice was afraid to be alone in a house where no one would know.

"I cannot guarantee you'll be with your siblings, but for you, it'll be......Hufflepuff,"

Ignatius Ward was ecstatic to be here he just found out not too long ago all the strange happenings that occured around him was actually caused by magic blossoming inside him. Ignatius ever curious and inquisitive watched in awe the scenes unfolding around him. looking at the enchanted ceiling and the floating candles his mind whirred in thought thinking of how was it done can i learn that and what else could i apply this to. while taking in his surroundings and lost in thought he didn't realize that the line of students stomping into the hall had stopped and accidentally ran into the student in front of him he immediately apologized and said "sorry so many new things to see here its amazing" and then grinned falling silent as the headmistress began speaking. he listened intently and thought to himself which house he would want to be in then shrugged he was sure to make the most of it no matter where he was sorted. he awaited anxiously as the headmistress brought out the sorting hat then laughed out loud in astonishment as the hat began its song the whole while enjoying the song and muttering under his breath about how it was possible and determining to ask the hat how it was made if he ever got the chance. He anxiously waited to be sorted, rocking back and forth on his toes, and craning his neck to see what was happening.

"Ward, Ignatius"

Ignatius super excited nearly skipped up the stairs almost tripping in excitement and stumbled up to the stool and the hat wondering what it was going to be like and if he would have a chance to ask his multitude of questions about the sorting hat now or possibly in the future he plasters a grin on his face and puts on the sorting hat. its a bit large and falls down over his eyes but hes smiling anyway awaiting what was going to happen next.

His thoughts were racing as the hat was placed on his head. how were you made, what type of magic was cast on you this is amazing can i learn to make a sorting hat here what all can you do besides think talk sing and sort not that all of that isn't amazing in and of itself he thought in a rapid spitfire manner. He awaited the Hat's answers to his many questions or at least the hat's decision on where he would be sorted.

"If I had all the time in the world, I still wouldn't be able to answer all of your questions, because one question would just lead to another and another and another. What I can tell you is exactly where you ought to be and that is.....Ravenclaw,"

Zoya Kvalheim was the first of her many siblings that was of age. She was anxious to get started with school and learning all sorts of magic. Zoya knew that she gave off the same aura as her grandmother. Elegant but dark. Zoya lacked the last though, since she was but a child. Her purple eyes had a hint of slyness as she swiftly moved in and out to go to to the front. She did not want to have to shove people aside to get there. As soon as her name was called, Zoya made her way to the front and sat down. She felt the hat on her head, hoping that they at least cast a cleaning spell between each child.

"You'd certainly hope that they do....but alas that's never bothered me before....now you...you're tricky, the answer isn't obvious. That desire for adrenaline....that is what sets this apart....Gryffindor,"

Noah arrived at Hogwarts with some friends, this was still all knew to him so he tried to remember his sister's words and follow the instructions she gave him once he arrived there. She had done the sorting ceremony on the previous year so she knew the drill.
He was put on a group with all the first years, most of them were familiar faces and Noah got a little more comfortable. As they walked into the Great Hall all eyes were on them and that kinda made him feel important. The professors and especially the headmistress was kind were kind of intimidating, something his sister never mentioned. He saw as the sorting ceremony began and his soon to be year mates started being called and suddenly it was his turn.

"Mendes, Noah"

He sit on the little wooden bench and looked around for his sister at the Ravenclaw table, when he found her she was giving him a thumbs up and he smiled at her. He knew for sure he wouldn't be ending up in Ravenclaw, he wasn't half as smart as she was but honestly that didn't really mattered to him. The hat hadn't spoken yet and he wondered if the time was actually passing slowly or if even the hat was having some trouble with the decision but he decided not to worry about it, in fact he took a deep breath and put on his most relaxed face waited for the hat's decision.

"Unfortunately I can not slow down time, though that would be cool. Mostly I was taking a moment to think....be sure of my choice....and yes...I've got it....Gryffindor"

Valencia had stood in the middle of the entrance, with her twin brother by her side and squashed with other first-years around them. She had found it weird that there was a talking hat that had sorted you into a house. There was also floating candles above them, which she also found weird. How did they make the candles float, and what was the purpose of the floating candles. It hadn't really made sense to her with all this magic talk. The magic world still made absolutely no sense to her, and it just had confused her even more once she got into the castle to experience it a little. Valencia watched as the first years went up one by one to be sorted into the four house. It was then her name which was then called up. She walked up a little nervously and confused as she took a seat in that stool, and felt the hat being placed on top of her head. She wanted this to be over and done with.

"Over and done with it shall be...I believe alot of student think this will take forever but I'm quick at my work. I'm saying all this because I'm stalling as I reach my final decision....Ravenclaw,"

Val stood beside his sister, surrounded by more people than he would have liked. The hat must be animated or be some kind of machine, he thought, maybe there's a speaker in there somewhere. Everything around the room was equally as strange, and he didn't get it at all. But, it all seemed legitimate, looks like this is an actual school of some sort. They wouldn't hire this many kids for a joke, right? Still, the "magic" must just be some kind of machine or advanced science thing. Val wasn't paying any attention to the names until his sister was called. She went up ahead and Val got ready for his turn, knowing that he'd be next. His name was soon called as Lenny made her way down to some table. He reached the top and sat on the chair. What was this for again.

"This is just to decide your house...which is where you'll live while at Hogwarts with students of a like mind...also I'm enchanted and.....Gryffindor,"

Kaia felt ready for sorting even if she was scared of everything that was going on. She still couldn't accept that Hat is talking and she needs to wear uniforms in school, that everyone there seemed like they are from another world, everyone knew what was going to happen but she still didn't really understand.

She has heard that a lot of new students were going to ask Hat to get in the house they wanted, Kaia didn't want to get in one specific because it still was new to her, she just tried to manage what is the difference between houses. Yes, Hat sang about them but it just messed her head way more so she was on her own in a new world. Yes, it was going to be amazing adventure even if it seemed scary!

"It will be an amazing adventure for you in Hufflepuff!"

Piper was excited about today and it showed by the way she couldn't even stand still for just a second as soon as they reached the Great Hall. Paige and her cousin had told her enough about the school to know that she would have a good time here after tonight and was ready to get exploring, and even study a little if she'd have the time for that. She let out a cheer when Isaiah was called upon by the Headmistress, hoping that perhaps the hat would be kind enough to sort them together as she got along great with him, and let out a cheer even louder than the first one when he was sorted into Gryffindor House. It didn't take long for it to be her turn to be sorted into one of the four houses and honestly she didn't have a clue where she would end up in. She didn't really see herself as a Slytherin though, she was neither cunning nor determined enough to have that house be the outcome. She wouldn't mind it, however, it'd be nice to be in her sister's company more often now that she was studying at Hogwarts, too. Piper sat down onto the stool when her name was called out and waited patiently, nodding ever so slightly when the hat was placed on top of her head.

"Not slytherin for you....and though you'd be fine in gryffindor that's not really for you either.....you'll find the like minded people you want in.......Hufflepuff,"
