Birthplace: Auckland, New Zealand
Blood Status: Mixed Blood
Wand: Curly 17 Inch Swishy Hornbeam Wand with Unicorn Hair Core
Length: An impressively long wand, not easily concealed - used by those who desire to make a statement.
Style: Great care was taken in crafting this wand's wood to spiral to its point, giving it a beautiful aesthetic quality.
Wood: Hornbeam wands are often found with wizards and witches having what can be best described as an obsession - a single all-consuming focus in life. Adapting to its owner quickly, it will not work well for other people and will sometimes not perform spells which are counter to its owner's character.
Core: The animal is known for its healing qualities and unbridled beauty, so it is no surprise that wands with unicorn hair are particularly successful at performing healing spells. Wands with this core bond with their first caster, making wands with this core not good as hand-me-downs. These wands are useful with charms and transfigurations.
Flexibility: Swishy: A wand which can quickly cast spells but may need to cast more than one to accomplish the job.

Hogwarts House: Gryffindor

Hair: Blonde and long, falling to her mid-back. Naturally fairly straight, but Maggi likes to curl it sometimes and experiment with styles.

Eyes: Light brown, with long lashes.
Build: Slender and on the short side, but deceptively strong.
Complexion: Pale with a few small freckles, somewhat prone to eczema on her arms.
Style: Cute and glam.
Distinguishing Features: Maggi's bright smile can be seen from miles away.

Personality: Having grown up on the stage, Maggi lives every day as though she were a star, taking every opportunity she can find for attention. She has a tendency to see the people around her as means to the end that is her own success. She's not cruel though, often going out of her way to try and befriend the people around her in the interest of being beloved. Maggi is extremely hardworking when she has goals she sees as important, and dedicates herself totally to her pursuits. She has a very fixed way of looking at life, and finds it difficult to adapt to change, particularly changes that are antithetical to her life plan.

Strengths:
-Maggi is extremely self-confident, and has no hesitance at all about approaching situations others might find intimidating.
-Maggi is a hard-working perfectionist when it comes to the things that matter to her, and she will stop at nothing to be the best person she can be.
-Maggi loves to be beloved, and channels that into extreme kindness, doing her best to bring people close and be as loved as she possibly can.
Weaknesses:
-Maggi has a very fixed view of her life, and anything outside of that plan can distress or unsettle her.
-Maggi tries to be kind, but when it comes to her own ambitions she can be ruthless, unafraid to deal with any competition on her way to stardom.
-Although she loves her life, Maggi has never had much opportunity to make her own decisions, and doesn't have a very strong sense of independence.
Hobbies:
Music: Maggi has taken singing and piano lessons since she was very young, and is an excellent singer.
Dance: Maggi has also been dancing her whole life, and views it as one of her biggest strengths. She specialises in hip hop, but also takes ballet and jazz.

Acting: Though she hasn't had as much drama experience as she has in the other performing arts, Maggi understands the importance of being a triple-threat, and is a reasonably skilled actress.
Personality Type: ENFJ (The Protagonist)
Protagonists are natural-born leaders, full of passion and charisma. Forming around two percent of the population, they are oftentimes our politicians, our coaches and our teachers, reaching out and inspiring others to achieve and to do good in the world. With a natural confidence that begets influence, Protagonists take a great deal of pride and joy in guiding others to work together to improve themselves and their community.
Strengths: Tolerant, Reliable, Charismatic, Altruistic, Natural Leaders
Weaknesses: Overly Idealistic, Too Selfless, Too Sensitive, Fluctuation Self-Esteem, Struggle to Make Tough Decisions

History: Maggi grew up in Auckland, New Zealand, and she was on stage almost as soon as she could stand. Her mother and aunt dreamed of their children enjoying a life on stage and put them in performing arts programs very early. For as long as she can remember Maggi has been performing and competing with her cousin Chip, and her life has entirely centered around dance, music, acting, every element of the performing arts her mother could find a class for. Maggi loves every moment of the attention, and dreams of the day her career really takes off, and she finds the place she knows she deserves as a star. She strives for perfection in everything she does, and works hard to be the best she can be at every opportunity.

Maggi knew she should be excited to be beginning her time at Hogwarts, but it was a difficult excitement to maintain. Coming to school meant leaving behind everything that was important to her; the stage, the lights, the classes... Maggi knew Hogwarts wouldn't nurture her as a performer, and that fear turned out to be painfully true. While she struggled to find a place in the magical world, Maggi was relieved at least to be making some friends at the school, finding particular comfort in Elara Chatelain, who shared her struggle of leaving a life of performance behind.
As excited as she was to finally be at Hogwarts, ready to learn to use magic, part of Maggi already regretted coming here. Would it really be seven years before she could take to the stage again?! She knew learning magic was important, but coming here felt like being torn away from her life's purpose. If it hadn't been for her cousin by her side, Maggi almost didn't know if she would be here at all. But here she was, and she was determined to make the most of it. Maggi was going to be the best at magic, just like she was the best at everything else, and when she had finished her time at school, the stage would be ready to welcome her back with open arms.

A big entrance, at least, made all the difference. Maggi was glad she and Chip had planned well in advance, it made the sorting ceremony less of a scary unknown. This was going to be their big first impression, to show the school a couple of stars had arrived, and Maggi was ready. She met Chip's eyes as they budged their way to the front of the group and grinned, the butterflies in her stomach settling as she went over the choreography in her head. She could make anything into a performance, and Chip was the perfect partner in crime. As the doors opened she braced herself and lunged into a cartwheel alongside Chip, the well-rehearsed entrance flowing perfectly. Like perfectly aligned cogs she tumbled in time with her cousin, stopping to strike a pose when they reached their target and joining cheerfully in with his, 'ta-da!' to finish things off.

Their entrance had gone perfectly, and that assuaged most of Maggi's nerves, but now came the waiting. And that was the worst part. Maggi had never hated her last name before, but as the list of students began at A and slowly, agonisingly trickled down, Maggi felt the unfamiliar butterflies of nervousness trickle back. What if she wasn't in the same house as Chip?! She didn't know what she would do with herself. She actually winced slightly as he was called, but quickly covered it by clapping for her cousin, always determined to support him to be his best. She watched as the hat slipped down on his head and did its job, waving as Chip made his way over to his newly assigned house. She could only wait and hope that she would follow him there. Finally once the group of new students had trickled down to almost none Maggi's turn came, and she plastered a brilliant winning smile on her face as she approached the seat, sitting down with a flourish. Wherever she went, Maggi knew she was just going to give it her all, and make the next seven years the performance of a lifetime.

Maggi was no happier to return for her second year at Hogwarts than she had been for her first year. It was a small relief to at least have friends at Hogwarts to come back to, and she was overjoyed to start doing some circus training with Elara and a couple of other girls from their dorm, enjoying the opportunity to finally throw herself back into performance training once more. The rest of the year was mostly quiet, with Maggi focusing on her training and longing for her life back home.

Maggi's third year was a quiet one, spending time with friends she already knew well and deepening those important connections. She particularly enjoyed putting together a showy and intricate Halloween costume, delighted when her hard efforts earned her an award in the costume contest. Despite the lack of opportunities to put her skills to use, she was pleased to get some recognition.

Although she was by now used to the disappointment of Hogwarts life, Maggi still struggled to adjust to her living circumstances. She did her best, spending time with her friends as much as she could, and particularly enjoyed the opportunity to form a circus troupe with two girls from her dorm, eager to learn new skills from Elara and be building on the performing arts training she already had from her life outside of Hogwarts.

Maggi's fifth year was a quiet one, her focus on practicing and keeping her skills up as much as she could. The most eventful part of the year was her participation in a game of Spin The Bottle, the first introduction of romance to her life.

Hogwarts had never been Maggi's choice, and even now at the end she didn't think she would choose this, looking back. With time she had found a home and made friends, but this school had pulled away from her dream, from the life path she had been working towards since she was a kid. Being a witch didn't mean much with seven years of missed training and competitions under her belt. She would practically be starting over in the industry, and while her classmates had careers to look forward to, she would be going right back to the bottom of the ladder. It was disappointing to think about.

The entire day was tinged with bittersweetness, and Maggi listened quietly as Indira and Jordan spoke. It all just echoed the distance she felt from her classmates. Today wasn't the beginning of her adult life, it was the day she would start trying to return to the life she had been pulled away from all those years ago. The lessons she had learned here weren't going to serve all that well, except perhaps the ones she had learned from Elara. She applauded politely as her classmates crossed the stage, clapping louder for her friends and less enthusiastically for... certain people she wasn't sad to see the back of. At long last they reached the Ws and it was her turn to take the stage, smiling as she shook Professor Ward's hand and accepted her diploma. Whatever the future held, at least she was finally free to seek it out herself.
