Y37 Ilvermorny Quidditch Practice S1

Zeke pouted as Dominic scolded him. But he was playing nice! It wasn't that bad. He stuck his tongue out at Dominic before smiling playfully and taking off again.
 
Adam scoffed as the new beater stuck his tongue out at Dominic, and jerked a thumb his way. “Are you going to take that, captain?” He asked, in the vain hopes he’d scold him some more.
 
For a brief moment, AJ wondered if the Ilvermorny team would have done better in their past games if they put in as much effort fighting with each other as they did practicing. Then he busied himself looking for bludgers before anyone someone sensed what he was thinking about and called him out on it.
 
Dominic rolled his eyes and ignored Zeke and Adam. They wouldn't be getting a real rise out of him today. Instead he focused on his own task and followed Lucas who had the quaffle closely.
 
Zeke was humming happily, quickly catching up with a bludger and smacking it towards Eli. He seemed a bigger guy, able to take a blow. Zeke winced when the bludger did a side spiral and hit @Einar Haines instead. Oops. Poor guy.
 
Lucas was determined, flying back to the hoops. He felt the pain strongly, but he wasn't going to give up. He had been watching Adam, and when his head was turned to mock the other players, Lucas took his shot. He let out a pleased, breathless laugh, before moaning quietly and lowering his arm. That hurt. But at least he had made one shot today.
 
"Nice shot," he made sure to compliment the other chaser, seeing that he looked to be the quiet sort and probably needed some sort of encouragement. But with another shot made, Hyun was quick to grab the inbound pass again and turn towards the hoops to try again.
 
Hope was glad Dominic understood her and she smiled shortly. Between the boys she had to step up for herself. She focused again for her search.

Eli flew around, trying to hit a bludger but missing. He sighed, then kept on flying.

Hope felt alone in this search. But she focused and moved into an other direction, she thought she seen something gold there.
 
It wasn't long before he was in front of the hoop again, throwing the quaffle with all his strength. But once again the shot went wide and missed. "Dammit."
 
Zeke continued working on his form, humming as he flew his way around the pitch.
 
Lucas was in a lot of pain, but he was trying to pretend that everything was alright. He flew behind the others, rubbing his side a little and trying not to wince.
 
Hope seemed to need to focus so AJ hung back, looking for a good chance to hit a bludger in a more useful way.
 
Hope flew along. Moving to lower ground, perhaps she was looking in the wrong way.
 
AJ started after a nearby bludger, bat raised, but it moved away too quick before he could really catch up to hit it.
 
"Good try!" Dominic said encouragingly to Hyun. He didn't want the new players to get too discouraged. But he saw his opening and grabbed the quaffle after it was thrown back in.
 
Tailing a bludger, AJ felt the satisfaction of having his bat connect solidly with the bludger. It shot off across the pitch and past the chasers, but didn't manage to hit anyone.
 
Dominic looked around to see if anyone was open to pass to but he was too close to the hoops and he had to try the shot himself. It missed and he felt a little disappointed. But he rolled his shoulders, one feeling a little stiff from the earlier bludger hit, and made sure he'd try better next time.
 
Adam is too good for you.
 
Zeke hummed happily, chasing after bludgers.
 
Dominic kept his eyes on the rest of the team as he waited for one of the other chasers to have a go with the quaffle.
 
Lucas wasn't sure what came over him, but as he saw the chance he took hold of the quaffle again and began his loop. He could do this! Right?
 
Eli caught up with a bludger and managed to hit it, he watched as it flew at their captain and collided with him. He didn't bother to apologize, it was part of the game.

Lucas had just started his throw when a bludger into Dominic surprised him, causing him to miss. He sighed and drew back.
