Y37 Ilvermorny Quidditch Practice S1

Eli saw Lucas was hit by a second bludger, and made a mental note not to hit him again. He would probably not handle another hit very well. Besides, if anyone was being taken out during this practice he wanted it to be Adam. He chased a bludger, but didn't manage to hit it yet.

AJ had started to drift away from Hope, eyes on a bludger that he took a deft swing at. It shot across the pitch, but didn't manage to hit anyone.

Zeke was finding that the bludgers were getting a little screwy now. He pouted but continued his pursuit.

Still tailing the bludger, AJ took a swipe at it as it came into range, barely managing another glancing hit and the bludger continued on undisturbed.

Dominic followed closely behind Einar after he grabbed the quaffle, and winced when Lucas got hit with a bludger again. "Hang in there." he said. "You're doing great." he added cheerfully as he kept up with the quaffle. He watched it closely, wondering if he could manage to steal before Einar could score.

Adam watched Einar closely, ready to intercept.

Dominic kept up with the chasers but made sure to take a moment to check in with where the rest of the team were at. The beaters were doing exceptionally well, and the rest of the team seemed to he holding their own as well.

Hope looked around her for an moment. The bludgers were intense and she followed the chasers for an moment. Trying to look from high up to see any sign of the snitch.

Zeke was finding that even despite all the quirks of the team, he was enjoying himself. He continued to fly around, not actively seeking out a bludger anymore but waiting to see if an opportunity would present itself.

Lucas was moving a little more carefully now, his entire body aching. He had forgotten how much quidditch tended to hurt him. He followed after the other chasers, pointedly not looking at Adam as he knew the other boy would be taking pleasure in Lucas' pain.

Hope had no luck yet, but she moved on trying another side of the pitch.

AJ had lost track of both Hope and the bludgers for the time being, drifting on the pitch a bit before spotting her and getting back into position to defend.

Angling on an incoming bludger, AJ sighed as he just knocked it off course rather than with any real direction. At least he was helping keep them away from Hope for the time being.

Zeke was wandering how long it would take to knock out Adam. Or if that was an option.

Adam flipped his fringe from his eyes akin to a pantene commercial, the time in the sun starting to ruin the hair product he'd put it to keep it in place.

Spotting an opportunity to take on a bludger, AJ took off after it, flinching and ducking when the bludger suddenly changed directions, turning towards him before he could knock it away with his bat. Sheepishly, AJ righted himself on his broom, hoping no one else saw that.

2a.
Dominic took finally saw an opportunity and stole the quaffle. He felt a little bad about it since everyone needed their chance to practice scoring but they also needed to practice blocking moves like this too. With the quaffle gripped tightly he sped up towards the hoops.

Adam idly watched Dominic take possession from Einar, though didn't straighten up on his broom to focus too soon. He had time.

Dominic was so close to the hoops now, and he made his shot. But it went wide, missing all together.

Adam smirked at Dominic's atrocious shot, swooping to catch the quaffle. "You can do better than that!" He mimicked, tossing it back into play.

Zeke watched Dominic throw, and miss. "He's taking it easy on you," he called back to the pretty boy, winking playfully before flying off again.

As the ball was thrown back into play, Lucas swooped down and caught it. He didn't want to give Adam more reason to taunt him, but mostly he didn't want to disappoint Dominic by giving up. He began to loop, watching to see if anyone wanted the quaffle anyway.

AJ had no idea how Adam or Zeke had the guts to tease people while they were playing. All it took was one mistake after all that big talk to make you look like an idiot, and with the way bludgers behaved, AJ knew better than to try to trash talk anyone.

Dominic laughed at Adam's comment but otherwise ignored it. He watched as Lucas caught the quaffle and started to follow him around the pitch. Ready to get open if he needed to pass it.

Lucas raised his arm, and though his aim was good, the sharp stabbing of his ribs causing his throw to fall short. He winced, curling in on himself a bit and trying to breathe.
