Y37 Ilvermorny Quidditch Practice S1

Adam snorted as Eli took another bludger hit, though Dominic was coming up, and he fell for his feint. He scowled, tossing the quaffle back into play and watching Lucas scurry off with it.

AJ tried to spot another opening to get a good hit in, but he wasn't able to catch up with either of the bludgers again.

Adam keeped. Its a term.

Dominic was hopeful as he followed Lucas. The younger boy was getting better but he wanted to be close behind incase he wanted to pass.

AJ bludgered, which wasn't a term, which is probably why he didn't have very good success at it.

Lucas was in pain, and a tiny part of him just wanted to curl up against Einar and cry. But Lucas knew it would never happen. So instead, he tried to focus on getting past Adam. Gritting his teeth, Lucas hurled the ball into what he was hoping was a weak spot. To his surprise, the ball went sailing easily through the goal. He looked quickly to Einar, smiling widely.

"Good job!" Dominic shouted as Lucas made the goal. He was glad that Adam's jabs hadn't discouraged him too much. He grabbed the quaffle when it was tossed back in, hoping to practice passing with the other chasers.

Hope smiled as someone scored, and continued her own search. Was she this bad?!

Of course, Hyun was pleased when Lucas finally scored, but he did quite wish that he could get a score himself now. When Dominic took possession of the quaffle, Hyun followed behind for an open pass if he wanted to throw one his way.

Dominic saw Hyun was close and decided to pass, and let the new kid try again. “You’re up!” He shouted and threw the quaffle. @Hyun Ong Hae

Hope noticed the chasers being busy. But where was that stupid gold thing. She became frustrated.

Zeke hummed as continued to work on his form, content not to hit any more bludgers today, deciding he'd beat the team up enough for the time being. He was still an alternate, after all, and he wanted to let the actual beaters, you know, beat people. He almost giggled a little at himself. He smiled as Lucas scored again. He was tempted to tease Adam, but Dominic had asked him to play nice and Zeke was finding he cared more about was Dominic thought than he did what Adam thought.

Hope continued her flying. Looking around her.

Coming up on a bludger, AJ had to flinch away when he realized he'd misjudged the angle. He managed to knock the bludger away from him before it could do any damage, but that was about all he could manage.

Hope sighted. How could she ever beat Beauxbatons if she didn’t even catched the snitch at practice.

While the atmosphere in practice didn't feel nearly as tense as it usually did, AJ couldn't help but wonder what it was like to be a team that seemed to actually enjoy playing with each other. Dominic and Hope were fine, but he wasn't sure about the rest of the team half the time.

Adam scowled as Lucas scored. Whatever, he was going easy on them, like he said. He watched steadily as the chasers looped around.

He was pleased when the quaffle found it's way back into his hands, thankfully he was already close to the hoops, not wasting any time in trying to score again. But he failed once more, shoulders slumping as he mentally cursed at himself for the funk he found himself in right now. He wasn't this useless back on his old school team.

Adam offered Hyun a frown of mock-pity, and tossed the quaffle back into play.

Zeke hummed as he flew around, working on his form.

Lucas caught the quaffle as it was thrown in, watching to see if anyone else wanted the ball as he started a loop.

AJ knocked a bludger away, watching it spiral back across the pitch.

Adam alertedly stayed alert.

Lucas was wearing himself out, he knew he was. But that wasn't going to stop him. He threw the ball, not surprised when Adam caught it. He flew off to the side a little, leaning forward on his broom and panting. He felt exhausted, and in pain, and he just desperately wanted to be cuddled. He didn't know why; it wasn't like there was anyone in his life to care for him. He had Einar, he supposed, but that so often felt like something Lucas had to fight tooth and nail for and right now he just felt so tired.

Adam wasn't about to let Lucas think he was actually good. He swooped across and easily caught the quaffle, smirking lightly to himself as he tossed it back toward the players.
