Alison had always expected that she would attend Hogwarts, despite her father being a muggle it had always been taken for granted that she would be a witch like her mother and her cousin so it had been a relief when she began to show signs of magic as a child. Now the day had finally come that she was at the school Alison realised just how much she had wanted to be at the school. Alison had enjoyed the train ride and had met some interesting, if slightly odd, people and was looking forward to getting to know them more and meeting more people, even if doing so felt unnatural to her she was determined to push through her awkwardness to make sure she maximized her experience at the school, it would be her home for seven years after all.
The school was everything Luna had described yet her words hadn't done it justice. Alison hadn't seen her cousin since they parted at the platform and she briefly wondered if they would be in the same house, but she doubted it very much, she just couldn't see herself in Slytherin. Alison stood outside the Great hall among her fellow first years and once the doors opened she followed them inside to the stool at the top of the room. One by one students were called to the front and had a hat placed on their head. Alison waited nervously and the group of students had grown very thin by the time her name was called. "Urquhart, Alison," Alison swallowed hard and walked up to the stool and took her seat.
"I could see you in Slytherin, but it's certainly not the best fit for you. You want to be with the brightest and while those are present in every house, I think you'll find a great deal in RAVENCLAW!"

, no one expected, not even my brothers
who are already in their second year at Hogwarts Academy. I'm on the Hogwarts Express and as the clock is almost 11am we are getting ready to leave.
. I cannot wait the first lessons of flight, potions, defense against black magic and all the others.
