The Brotherhood Auction

"Going once, going twice, SOLD!" Prodan waved for the boys to come and join him, and once they had, he announced, "Boy C has 35 galleons on him, reveal yourself, and your date to the Yule Ball is...Ariah Rowan!" Prodan smirked a bit, knowing that the rest would be rather interesting, "Boy G has sixty galleons on him, reveal yourself to your Yule Ball date...Alyssa Snow! Boy S has ten galleons on him, reveal yourself to your Yule Ball date, the lovely Head Girl herself!" Prodan winked at the lad, and he continued, "Two galleons going on Boy U, reveal yourself to your date...Brodie Fudge?" Prodan raised his eyebrows and he laughed, "Rotten luck if you don't appreciate bromance. Anyway, last for this round of boys, Boy R, going to the Yule Ball with Larissa Sedgwick for six galleons, reveal yourself!" Prodan glanced down at the list of letters, and he called out, "Boys D, O, A, X and V, let's bid on those five, starting now!"

Jenn couldn't help but find this all too amusing so she took out her clutch and looked around to see how many galleons she had laying around. Looking at the boys standing on the stage she decided on V. She had always liked the letter V and she wasn't obligated to do anything but meet the boy and pay the money so she said loudly, "Five galleons on V!" Fixing her costume, she grinned at Professor Zhefarovich and Professor Rowann.

Dressed like a Leopard, Joceline stood amongst the students, talking to those that she knew, which sadly were not many. Especially since the departure of her dear friend Wendy, who she was beginning to be hateful towards for leaving her all alone in this god awful school. As she saw a group of students dressed like Dementors and Death Eaters, Joce momentarily lost her breath but caught it once she heard Professor Rowann explain it all and chuckled light heartedly. It was a bit funny to her, so she watched at first, finding that none interested her although she was sure that the only person that really would was Ivan as she was constantly wishing to spend more of her time with the Durmstrang boy. But he wasn't here and they weren't dating, it was of no use for her to even think on it any longer so she bid on A. "3 galleons on A."

Jade decided it was her turn again to bid for another boy. She was careful to take note that no-one else would start bidding before her, not that she minded if she ended up with no-one. Standing up suddenly, she loudly exclaimed 5 galleons for D! Her bidding was off again. Hopefully this time she'd have more success than her previous run. It was time she enjoyed herself, and she was willing to bid decently high for a decent date.

It was ever so slightly awkward that Noah had been falling behind on the podium seating's, however, he had made his way confidently and swiftly to the podium. Meeting with his Brotherhood mates, Noah gave a calm and collected nod. He didn't want to make himself appear too ashamed of being every so slightly late.
'You couldn't get the mask adjusted' the excuse would suffice.
Sporting his Death Eater garments, Noah stood casually at the end of the line sporting his garments as all the others in the group had been. Taking note of Professor Rowann's involvement in the auction, Noah calmly breathed a sigh of relief, knowing, or at least hoping, the Professor would make his late arrival as discrete as possible.

Despite the fact that Noah wasn't expecting any one to bid on him, he could have at least got a laugh out of everything else that was going on. Then the thought penetrated his mind and flushed his face; warmth overwhelming him. What if some one did bid on him? This could all go so wrong - what if it was some one he didn't like.... Fun may just turn in to a hell storm.

Elspeth was wandering through the Hall when she saw the auction. She grinned, watching, and laughed when a guy started bidding, wondering what Boy U thought of his date. Noticing that no one else had done so, she called out "5 galleons on Boy X!" She wasn't going to spend too much, but this was too much fun to miss out on. She didn't really care who she got, she hadn't made any (male) enemies while attending Hogwarts. She hoped no one else bid against her, because she was trying to save her money. She stayed leaning against the wall, feeling awkward moving in her costume. The top was alright, and she had enchanted it so it was flexible and comfortable, but she didn't like walking around in skin tight pants. She usually walked around in a plain old pair of jeans. She decided that when the bidding for Boy X was over she would change out of her costume, or at least put something over it.

J.R hadn't intended to attend the Halloween feast. She didn't have a date, and besides, she didn't want to sit around watching everyone eat and enjoy themselves when she could be catching up on her muggle school work. Maths was so much more interesting than arithmancy. If she finished this section on trigonometry tonight, she could send it to her parents by owl and her assessor could have it by Monday, and send her the next module by the end of the week.

However, she had heard rumours about a date auction. Where there was a chance to meet a cute boy and have him to herself all night, J.R didn't want to be left out. She looked through her clothes and pulled out her old kapa haka costume. It still fit if she squeezed, and she nicked her room mate's black lipstick to draw a moko on her chin.

Hurrying to the Great Hall, she saw a group of people on stage dressed as who-knew-what. She was disappointed that she wouldn't get to choose her Yule Ball date based on looks, but decided a date was a date, and she couldn't go without. Not after last year's debacle. Raising her hand, she called out in the loudest voice she could muster, "10 galleons on O!" She figured O was as good a letter as any, and she quite liked circles, so O it was.

Okay, the ones that were revealed earlier were; U - Aeon Summers, S - Rakas Varius, C - Leviathan Zhefarovich, G - Damian Metzger, and R - Azerail Varius. They are free to post their reactions now.

Prodan smiled, "So, we have five galleons on V, three galleons on A, five galleons on D, five galleons on X and ten galleons on O. Do I hear more? Come on, ladies, these boys are pretty handsome!" Prodan chuckled, and he didn't know who they were, really. "Going once!"

Dannii was up in the hospital wing sick with the flu on Halloween of all days. This sucked. Halloween was Dannii's favorite holiday and she would have to miss it. She felt bad because Nia had worked her butt of to make Dannii and awesome costume but she wouldn't get to use it. Maybe next year she thought sadly as she turned over in her bed. Dannii was lying there feeling sorry for herself when a first year showed up to visit her friend. Dannii was trying to block them out and get some sleep but was having a hard time because one was so excited. Some words caught Dannii's ears. "Its so cool! The Brotherhood of Magic are auctioning off there members for yule ball dates!". Dannii sat up straight and asked the first year what she had said. The girl repeated what she had just told her friend. "Oh crap" Dannii said jumping out of bed. Azerail was in the Brotherhood.

Dannii walked as fast as she could down to the great hall having to pause every few minutes because she was coughing. Her voice may not have been very good for placing bids but she at least would have to see if anyone bought her boyfriend. Once she had finally made it to the feast Dannii had to pause for a few minutes for another coughing fit before making her way to the crowd of girls. She arrived just in time to see her boyfriend get sold. I'm going to kill who ever got him Dannii thought angrily. Not many people would know this but Dannii was an extremely jealous person. The next round of bidding began and Dannii decided she would try and at least get a date. It would be better then going alone or not going at all. "10 galleons on boy x!" Dannii croaked.

Ariah high-fived Hilde and Kamaria when she discovered that she had won the bidding for whoever letter C was, she gave a soft smile to the girl that had been bidding against her as if to say it was a good competition and that she wasn't angry or anything. But then the person behind the mask of letter C revealed himself and Ariah's mouth dropped open with shock and surprisingly hurt, she had just bid on Leviathan and won. "Kara..." She quickly turned and glared at her younger friend slightly, she couldn't take HIM tot he Yule Ball this Holiday! Shaking her head sighed and walked away, she was terrified of him and she thought Kamaria knew that. Maybe he wanted to go with someone else anyways, wishing Hilde good luck on whoever it was her friend was going to bid on she headed away from the group, she was in no mood to celebrate anyways.

Alexandra found this auction pretty fun, and she didn't want to have another lonely Yule Ball. Taking a leap of faith not to get someone younger than her, she rose and yelled out, "Five Galleons on A!" She hoped that she would win this just because she didn't like losing, though she knew how to take it in stride. Looking around her, she saw some magnificent costumes, a leopard, some flowers, a couple of bugs, and some pretty gruesome ones too. She looked down at herself and shrugged. She wasn't much into Halloween and turned back to the auction.

Prodan continued on with the auction, his loud voice booming, "Now, we have five galleons on V, five galleons on A, five galleons on D, ten galleons on X and ten galleons on O. Going twice!" Once more, and the boys were sold. Whoever came up with this idea needed a high five. Prodan was having a blast.

Briony had kept quiet until near the end for she did not want to blow all of her galleons on some guy. "Six galleons on V!" She was a bit embarrassed for doing something like this, but the new Briony needed to get out and about.

Joceline looked over to the girl that had called five galleons for A and shrugged, her competitive nature brought her to look back over at Professor Zhefarovich and call out "Ten galleons on A" behind her spotted mask that exposed her bright blue eyes and the lower side of her face. She hadn't put too much time into her costume and was glad that she hadn't, she liked the dress she was wearing and the shoes even more. She was comfortable and was having fun despite everything that had gone on over the last break.

"Ten Galleons on V," Jenna said, only now being afraid that she may have gotten a first year. It wasn't like she would be spending her time with them if they were, but the possibility was there and she wished to not have to have spent money on a younger student.

Briony glared at the girl who bid four more galleons than her. She wondered if she would win any of the auctioned boys. "Twenty galleons on V" She spoke loudly.

Oh no you didn't. She went over and batch slapped Briony. xD

Okay really:
Jenn rolled her pale blue eyes at the younger girl and she called out "Twenty five."

(Briony kicks Jennifer in the face with a flying karate chop kick. xD

Ahem: )
This was exciting, Briony realized. She reminded herself to keep a check on her fund for they would not last forever. "Thirty Galleons on V." She countered feeling annoyed.

"Fifteen Galleons on X" Elspeth called out. She didn't want to spend too much, but she was not going to back off at ten galleons. She was not going to bid again, so if the other girl wanted to raise it to twenty, she could have him. Elspeth would just wait until the next round.

Dannii forced herself not to glare at the girl who had raised her bid, she didn't even know who she was anyways. "20 galleons on x!" Dannii called out again before having another coughing fit into her arm. As soon as I find out who the hell I'm bidding on I'm taking a two day nap Dannii thought wearily.

Riley walked into the Hall, considerably late. She half laughed, half cursed herself as she realized that the Brotherhood Auction was happening. Excited to join in, Riley called out.
"10 galleons on D!" She yelled, hoping for the best.

Elspeth sighed and let her head fall back so she was staring up at the ceiling, putting all her weight onto the wall behind her. It was the non-verbal equivalent of "Fine, I can't be bothered anyway." She didn't know who the other girl was, but she looked really sick. She hoped she didn't pass it on to her date. The older girl looked like she should be in the hospital wing instead of bidding for a date for a dance.

Prodan called out, "All right, we have thirty galleons on V, ten galleons on A, ten galleons on D, twenty galleons on X and ten galleons on O. Sold!" Prodan chuckled and he said loudly, "All right, Boy V is sold to Briony Harper for thirty galleons. Boy V, reveal yourself!" Prodan paused for a moment, and he continued, "Boy A was sold for ten galleons to Joceline Richarde. Boy A...reveal yourself! Boy D, you were sold to Riley Sparkles for ten galleons, reveal yourself! Boy X, sold to Dannii Merrythought for twenty galleons, reveal yourself! Finally, Boy O, ten galleons, sold to Jessame Trewelly, reveal yourself!" Now that they were sold, it was time to continue on. "Boys E, P, K, T, and H, come on down! Ladies, let's start!"

OOC: In four hours, I will reveal the boys that were just sold if they do not post who they are.

Briony clapped her hands and looked around wondering who she had won for herself. She hoped dearly that he would be worth the thirty galleons she would be spending on him.

Max was rather pleased when he was sold for 30 galleons. That was a pretty good amount in his opinion, and also the highest from his group. Not that that meant anything, since bids were simply placed on letters, his being V. Max glanced at the two girls that had bid on him, one a blonde girl about his age, the other quite younger. The younger girl had won in the end, after a few minutes of debate. Of course it probably would have been more natural to attend the Yule Ball with someone nearer his age, he was still going to have fun, and show the girl a good time. He was quite the gentleman, Max. As the Brothers were asked to reveal themselves, Max stepped forward and pulled his hood down swiftly. "V," he spoke, raising his hand. The Ravenclaw had never been one for attention, so he definitely wasn't going to reveal himself dramatically. Instead, he simply gave a small smile to both of the girls that had bidded on him, and stepped back to join the other guys that had been sold previously.
