Professor Lola Rowann had been asked by the president of The Brotherhood to officiate at the Auction they had decided to hold. She at first had laughed at the idea but after seeing the deadpan expression staring back at her, knew that there was nothing to laugh at ... the boys were adamant about doing this. She sat a while in her own costume after listening a moment to the headmaster. The hall looked amazing and every year it seemed they out did themselves. The floating jack o'lanterns had been a brilliant touch.

Moving forward to the podium she pointed her wand to her throat, saying the incantation that enabled her to project her voice good and loud for all to hear.

"Evening everyone. Tonight we have a very special event that I hope all of you young women will take part in" she smiled as the puzzled faces looked up at her, "The Brotherhood of Magic being in need of funds for various endeavours decided to put on an auction. They are all here to tonight mingling amongst you. If you could all step up here please boys" she waited as a group of dark figures finally made their way to the podium.

"As you can see.... you can't see. Each boy is covered from head to toe to either look like a deatheater or a dementor. As each on steps forward I will be asking you to bid some of your hard earned money on each of them. For those that have the highest bid, you get in turn that particular boys company as your escort on the night of the Yule Ball. Of course the boy in question will also remove his hood to reveal himself to us after the bidding on him has closed."

Smiling out at everyone, she figured it was time to get the ball rolling.

Okay...
If those from The Brotherhood could make their way to the podium so the girls can get a look at you all. Just put up a post each, any girl wishing to participate in the auction can post here as well with her reactions and bids. :)

Kyle thought the Great Hall looked great, all black and orange and eerie as anything. He looked about the hall tipping his head to others he saw in particular costumes, smiling beneath his mask at what was to follow. He seriously hoped it would be a good laugh, that was after all what it was aimed at doing. Soon enough Professor Rowann called The Brotherhood to the podium and being the president he figured he better make his way there presto.

Standing there looking out among a sea of faces, he greeted his Brothers as they joined him.
"Here's to a fun night lads" he chuckled.

Danny could barely see out through the mask he wore, the costume was extremely effective in covering him up completely. Looking about the room he saw others in similar guise and felt relieved. If this went off well tonight then it was a good achievement for the Brotherhood and others might actually join. Professor Rowann announced the auction then and he made his way up to the podium standing by a few others, some wearing death eater costumes and others wearing dementor. He grinned beneath the shroud he wore and greeted them in turn before his gaze went out across the hall. Wondering on who would bid on him if any.

For some odd reason, Azerail chose the dementor outfit. His tall form was completely covered up and he felt just...cold. Being a dementor felt just...cold to Azerail. But it was better than being a Death Eater in his opinion. Azerail stood with the other brotherhood members, almost not liking the fact that he participated with this. It was just unnerving to think that if he were bid off, like some trophy, he might not get to take his girlfriend to the yule ball. Azerail had a little thought in his mind that this would be fun, and the others were doing it too. Why not? Azerail needed to get out there. Azerail shuddered a bit, feeling uneasy about being a dementor.

Austin felt pretty rad in this cloak. He glided to the others and he smirked from under the heavy cloak, "So, this is it. I feel pretty damn amazing." For a dementor, he was a happy one. He just got a girlfriend, he was going to be bid off in an auction, and things were just going good for him. It was about time he had some fun out there, because those OWLs were just lagging on him. Austin stood next to Azerail and he nudged his uncle, "Okay, stop acting like a real dementor." Austin rolled his green eyes, and took a step forward, almost tripping as it did so. Austin regained his balance and he sighed. Clumsiness was a pain in the ass.

Kaleb was dressed in Death Eater costume. Like father like son... thought Kaleb as he made his way with the rest. Kaleb thought that he was suited for this, but no one could really tell it was him. Unless someone knew him from the robes. That was the only way. He stood next to his dormmates and he wondered how this night would go. Kaleb felt that he was rather hot in a Death Eater costume, and he turned to Theodore, "I look more sexy than you in this costume." Kaleb smirked evilly as he had always done this to Theodore, all the time. Kaleb didn't care whether or not he was part-veela. Kaleb just loved to cut up with him.

Truth be told, Ryuu wondered why he was even doing this. Dressed as a dementor, shielding his skin and everything. Ryuu said nothing, though others in the brotherhood were chatting amongst themselves. He didn't say anything because he didn't even know much English to begin with. So, he remained silent, and remembered who put him up to this. Damian. If something goes wrong, Ryuu knew who to punish. He sighed as he joined the other dementors, moving as he did. The way his movements were gave his costume more life, and made it seem like a real dementor. The cloak was almost like a feather against him, and he remembered his father's hint on his fifteenth birthday. Love. He didn't know what it meant or what it had to do with his training. For now, his thoughts remained on that.

Damian was probably the only one skipping as he walked amongst the brotherhood. Damian stopped beside the other Death Eaters and Damian was happy. A big smile was on his face, but no one could see. But he was always moving, just rocking back and forth on his heels. He hummed and he started to giggle as he thought about girls bidding on them. He didn't hope anyone was going to bid on him, just because he did not really care. Damian continued to hum as he waited, and he didn't say anything. Could anyone tell that he was under that mask? Damian, a glammie, with the brotherhood and under a Death Eater attire? Hardly.

Leviathan dressed up in his Death Eater this time, and didn't know whether or not he really fit it. But it was in his bloodline. His father, that new stepmother-to-be. Levi was really tall, as tall as Theodore. Levi stood next to him, and he adjusted his mask. Levi said nothing, but he grunted a bit at Kaleb trying to compete with Theodore. Of course, Levi didn't know Theodore was not completely human. Levi hated anything not completely human. But what he didn't know, didn't hurt him. Levi was too lazy to figure it out for himself. For now, he just yawned silently, and he waited for this to be over with.

Rakas wondered into the Great Hall, and then in his dementor outfit, wondered where the others were. He didn't really have anything to say, but he felt so small compared the others. He stood next to Ryuu, unknown of who the lad was. Rakas came here to meet others, and why he did this, he didn't know for sure. He's curiosity was beyond natural. He wanted to know who would bid on him. He was curious with it all. That was his best quality. Curiosity.

Jai, having newly joined the Brotherhood had not knowing a single one of these boys, was distinctly uncomfortable in his Death Eater costume. He looked exactly like everyone else, which pleased him, but he hated the idea of wearing this particular outfit and he wondered for the twenty-second time why they'd chosen it. To him, it was the muggle equivalent of wearing a Nazi uniform. Such terrible things had happened to those who had faced people wearing clothes like these, but since it was all fun and games he decided to let it pass. There was one good thing about wearing a Death-Eater's mask, and that was he couldn't be identified. He could have gone as a Dementor, but he didn't like the raggedy robe that went with it. Jai wondered whether anyone would bother to bid on him. He was tall for a first year, but still a shrimp compared to all of the other, older boys. If anyone did spend a galleon or two, it'd probably be some silly first year girl who thought he looked about the right age. Jai winced and tucked his hands into his pockets. This was going to be a long night.

Theodore didn't know why he signed up for this stupid thing, but he did and now he was standing up here with all the others that signed up for this as well. He Chose a Death Eater costume and he had to admit that he looked pretty nice in it for something that was a little too small for him. As he stood between Kaleb and Leviathan he heard Kaleb say something to Theodore about being sexier in his costume, this forced the Veela male to shoot a glare at his friend before he snorted. "Don't get your hopes up. I look so good in this costume I might have to become a Death Eater just for the outfit." He grinned at the boy from behind his mask before he turned his attention back to the front and focused on the people that weren't being auctioned off. He hoped Aleyha would figure out who was and bid on him before some other girl did and he was screwed.

At this point in the night, Sam knew it was far too late to turn back, but he still regretted his decision with every step he took towards the Great Hall. Dressed fully in a Death Eater costume, he really didn't know what was running through his head as he signed up for The Brotherhood Auction. What if he was stuck with some child? Sam didn't even what to think of what his night would be like if that happened. He couldn't believe his decision, instead of spending the night hanging out with friends, eating intense amounts of the glorious food, enjoying the Halloween atmosphere, Sam was to stand on a podium with a dozen other boys and be auctioned off!

As he made his way into the Great Hall, he didn't even get a chance to allow the excessive decor overwhelm him, the Brotherhood members were called up onto the stage. He watched as all the other boys, like him in Death Eater and Dementor costumes, made their way onto the stage. And so he joined them, he stood next to a boy in a Death Eater costume and starred out into the crowds of people. He scanned the faces of the many girls, seeing some that he wouldn't actually mind spending the night with, afterall, he was single and a bit of fun wouldn't hurt anyone. Sam shook these thoughts quickly out of his head, although, he was beginning to see the fun in this.

Riley had been so excited about this years Halloween Feast, having decided on her costume and gotten her dorm mates to help her do her makeup she headed down to the great hall for what could only be described as good laugh. She felt like such a girl in her costume, but lately things had been changing and she had been trying not to stick to those all too predictable trackpants and sweatshirts she liked to wear. As she stepped into the hall she wobbled slightly on her heels but regained her balance and hoped that nobody noticed she admired the over the top decorations and the brilliant costumes surrounding her. In her purse she had her hard earned galleons from working at the quill shop and was hoping to spend them on one of the mystery knights that stood before her on the stage. She wondered who was up there, there were an awful lot of them, perhaps some of her friends were dressed as a dementor or a deatheater. Walking closer to the podium Riley smiled at the boys who looked so different in their costumes, plus totally unrecognisable. She hadn't seen Sam around yet, but hoped she would, for some reason after their meeting in the North Tower things had felt different between them, perhaps that was the reason for her change to more girly attire? Nevertheless Riley looked in her purse and counted up how many galleons she had to spend, smiling at the thought of it.

Zura felt ridiculous in her costume but at least one thing was for sure, no one would be able to figure out it was her beneath it. She looked about her at the decor as she entered and smiled, the place looked fab. After the headmasters greeting she mingled a minute before turning at the sound of Professor Rowanns voice. The Brotherhood? She had seen the odd poster up of course but knew nothing about it. Watching as a group of dementors and death eaters moved to the stage she had to smile at the varying heights and widths and wondered who was who and if she actually knew any of them. Thinking it would be hilarious if someone from first year bid and won a 6th year or vice versa she moved closer for a better look.

Clarice did her very best to lift the red cloak off the ground as she walked towards the sound of Professor Rowanns voice. She immediately felt nauseous. Was Hogwarts supporting Death Eaters and Dementors (what ever they were)? Glaring icily at her Defense Against the DARK ARTS Professor, Clarice decided that she would take no part in the bidding for such a pitiful thing, especially when she had plans with her best friend during the Yule Ball. But before she was to turn, the boys got on the stage and she couldn't help but shout out, "Get off the stage! Hogwarts is a non-discriminatory school!"

The Gryffindor didn't care that she had brought attention to herself momentarily and to the gazes that met hers, she nodded her head and crossed her arms against her chest with a 'hmph.' Clarice would have to write her father about this and maybe the school would be given hell for doing this, she didn't know, but they shouldn't have the freedom to dress up as something that killed people for blood status. It simply was not right.

For the first time since beginning school Brodie was actually attending the Halloween feast, costume and all. While on vacation Arisa has literally tied Brodie up and forced him to watch T.V. one thing that had actually amused Brodie was the juice commercials with the giant jug of juice, so here Brodie was dressed up as the kool-aid man. Brodie was walking around the great hall taking in the awesome decorations when all of a sudden Professor Rowann's voice boomed over the great hall. A guy auction? Oh man I have to see this Brodie said to himself as he walked with the hoard of girls over to the guys. A grin spread across the young Slytherin's face as he watched a few boys go up and stand side by side. Oh this was going to be good. Ever since he had gotten over a certain someone Brodie had actually developed a sense of humor, and he had the perfect idea for a joke. Thank-fully he had his galleons on him, just ready to be spent on a lucky fella.

What was I thinking? Jeremy thought to himself as Professor Rowann took to the stage and announced what the Brothers would be doing. It had seemed like a funny idea when he'd first heard it and he had signed up. Now, he wasn't so sure. When she gestured for them to come forward, Jeremy stepped forward with the others and faced the crowd. He knew that they couldn't see him under his dementor cloak, but he was still nervous nevertheless. Some of the guys were joking around on the stage as they waited for the auction to fully get underway and for girls to begin bidding.

Carmen entered the Halloween feast and noting the decor merely humphed condescendingly at it all before making her way further in. Her shrewd eyes were trying to discern Kaleb in the crowd of students mingling about but she could not fathom which one he was. The headmaster then got up to speak and she listened halfheartedly while still observing the students. Surely he would come to her, especially in the get-up she had chosen for this years celebrations. Frowning she turned as her DADA professor spoke... an auction?

She watched fascinated as boy after boy after boy walked to where the professor stood. All dressed in either dementor garb or death eater uniform. Carmen wondered if Kaleb was one of them but surely he would have told her and yet, he so far had not come near her. Slowly she made her way to the front where other girls were now starting to move towards. If Kaleb was amongst them then how was she supposed to know which one? She'd be damned if anyone else got to take him to the Yule Ball, so she would have to watch each person very very closely.

As the members of the Brotherhood were called to the stage, Max slowly walked to join the others on the stage. Or should I say glided? After all, he was dressed as a dementor, the less cruel of the two costume choices available. Max had absolutely refused to dress as a Death Eater. They were, in his opinion, quite frankly scum of the earth. They were pretty much Nazi's at the end of the day, and who would want to dress up as a Nazi? Max wasn't an outspoken boy, and he did know how to take a joke, but he also had morals. He thought it was rather heartless and unkind to dress up as a Death Eater, especially in front of a room full of people, most of whom had been affected by them directly or indirectly (including himself, with the majority of his mother's family killed by such vile people). Still, at the end of the day, Max knew that whoever had organised this hadn't meant to cause harm (at least, not to his knowledge), and he looked forward to witnessing the auction. It was sure to fun, and he'd get a laugh out of it. Whether anyone would bid on him, however, was not a point that Max dwelled on. He was a very personable young man, so he was sure to get on greatly with whoever won him, if anyone. So for now, he simply stood on the stage, arms swinging absentmindedly by his sides, as he looked out over the crowd and waited for Professor Rowann to begin.

Hamza was a little late to run to the stage because he was having trouble putting his Dementor costume on for some reason. He slowly walked to the stage right by his other brothers. A few of his brothers started to hit him on the shoulders since Hamza did seem to be a little nervous because this was his first time doing this with the Brotherhood, nontheless he thought in his mind that this would be all in good fun. Hamza stepped forward with the rest of the other guys and waited for Professor Rowann to get everything underway. Hamza was thinking the day he signed up, he thought this would be really fun, but right now, he was feeling a little nervous.

Kyle the president of the Brotherhood looked about waiting for the others to join, slowly the last five made their way to the podium, Armand Mayfair; Cole Dylan Vladimir; Mike Goulding; Raffaelo Menzure; Noah Blakewood ;
Aeon Summers ; Tohoru Koshiba ; Jai Dionysus. All were dressed in exactly the same type of costumes as the rest of the Brotherhood. He turned his head slowly to Professor Rowann and nodded it carefully to let her know that the proceedings could get underway.

[The last few boys from the List have been added so that we can move this along.]

With all the boys now on the stand near her, Professor Rowann looked down at the card in her hand.

"I will call out five letters, each boy here has a corresponding letter. So if I call C then the boy who has been earlier given that letter must step forward" she explained for everyone to hear, "Once I have the first five boys standing here beside me, the bidding will begin at 2 galleons. You ..." she looked out at the sea of girls and ... boys "can start relaying then which letter you wish to bid for and how much."

She allowed a pause to infiltrate the air...
"Can I have G ; R; U; S and C please" Professor Rowann watched the boys step forward then turned her attention to the audience.

"Now you shall be the first bidder?"

alright ladies ... start bidding... if you win the boy will only then be revealed to you and your date for the yule ball is cemented. :)
Boys of the Brotherhood you're letters can be found in The Brotherhood ;)

Cassandra didn't even know why she had decided to come to the Halloween feast. She hadn't attended any of the past seven she had been able to so why should this one make any difference? She was merely floating about the room not really doing much of anything when she noticed a bit of a commotion on stage. There were a bunch of... Dementors and death Eaters? Not the real thing of course any idiot could tell that but the sight was still odd. She raised one slender brow as she fixed a bit of her bright red tutu that exposed more of her legs than she was comfortable with. As the Defense Against the dark arts speaker spoke Cassandra snickered, An auction? Wow that was a very amusing, if not stupid idea. If would be fun to watch this unfold but she couldn't help but wonder how many of these guys actually wanted to do this. When the bidding started she laughed a bit when a few of them walked up. Deciding to maybe put one out of his misery if the price didn't get that high Cassandra thought that maybe later on she would bid.
