Sorting Ceremonies Through the Years

As a start to Y50, we are opening the vault and making previous sorting ceremonies available. :frantics: You'll find them in the new forum that has magically appeared within the sorting ceremony forum. It will go away once the semester begins, so don't miss out on taking a look!

Share your thoughts as you take a look at the sortings of the past. How much of a role did sorting end up playing in your character's development? Do they still feel that the sorting hat got it right? Or wrong? Did the hat say something that stuck with your character?
Let us know your reflections as you take a stroll down memory lane. ^_^

oh my gosh I'm having so much fun looking at old ceremonies

This is amazing :D Also seeing characters like Geo, Leda and Elio back in their first year is so cute =)) It's funny though, they definitely went on to fit their houses. I remember being shocked Geo didn't make Gryffindor back then, but I see why these days

I can't lie this is hilarious given Tori is now one of Eoghan's best friends:

There was only so much you could find out from reading. Sometimes you had to experience something for yourself first hand if you wanted to really understand it. Eoghan stood close to Tori, the girl that had (much to Eoghan's discontent) gathered a party in his carriage on the way to the castle. She'd also hauled him into the boat as they'd crossed the lake, and now that he was stood in the Great Hall, he hoped he'd finally get the chance to move away from her and her little entourage.

Edit: I'm in genuine pain reading my first sorting post(s) from the first year I was here x_x

Editing again: So I've come across the most savage sorting hat response... I mean don't get me wrong, I get it, my oh my..
