Slytherin Quidditch Team Practice Y40 S1

Ivelisse kept looking.

Avie continued to look around the sky, slowing down to let a bludger pass by him before picking speed back up.

Ivelisse thought she noticed a glimmer of gold and shot after it.

Avery noticed the other seeker suddenly speed off in a direction, and turned to follow after her in case she'd spotted the snitch.

Ivelisse kept her eye on the glimmer of gold, confident it was the snitch. She tried her best to speed after it, avoiding the other players to the best of her abilities.

Ares was proving impossible to hit, so Celia decided to target the alternate beater instead. She launched a bludger his way, but it sailed past him without making contact.

Eleanor nodded at her co-captain as she arrived and told everyone to get going. The girls weren’t exactly friends but there wasn’t a reason why that wouldn’t make them good co-captains. Eleanor took to the sky. She watched the game play for a few minutes, cheering as Liusaidh made the first goal. It wasn’t long after that that the alternate seeker caught the snitch. Eleanor beamed and clapped as he released it back into the air. She turned to follow the Quaffle.

Avie followed after the other seeker, doing his best to try and get ahead of her, though she'd had too much of a lead in the direction they were flying.

It seemed that the seekers had spotted the snitch. Celia watched them for a few moments, trying to give Avery more time to catch up to Ivelisse, before hitting a bludger in their direction. Just to make this chase a little more interesting.

Ivelisse noticed the other seeker behind her, trying her best to stay ahead while simultaneously dodging the bludger that was coming their way.

Avery barely ducked his head in time, hearing the whistle of a bludger as it sailed past him and the other seeker. He resisted the urge to look back, instead pressing on to try and use the distraction to gain some distance and inch ever closer in the chase for the snitch.

Celia was disappointed that she hadn't managed to hit either seeker, though it looked like she had come close. She turned and flew after the other bludger.

Ivelisse sped up, trying her best to keep her eye on the glimmer of gold quite a bit in front if her. She wasn’t keen on losing sight of it, nor of the other seeker passing her.

Indi picked up her speed when she noticed the other chasers following quickly behind her. When she was close enough to the hoops she threw the ball with some impressive force, and cheered as it soared through.

Avie pressed on, urging his mothers broom to accelerate faster. He managed to pass the other seeker, using her slipstream to bolster himself, and shot off toward the snitch. It darted through the air, and he had to zig-zag to try and maintain pace with it, before finally, shockingly, his hands clasped around it a second time. His heart raced. His father had been a fantastic seeker, and perhaps, just perhaps it was in his blood. He looked over his shoulder at the other seeker and held up the snitch for her and the others to see, before releasing it back into the sky.

Hearing a bit of commotion, Celia glanced over to see that Indi had scored, followed by Avery catching the snitch again. She smirked a little and eyed Ivelisse, wondering how her roommate felt about this. It would be embarrassing to have a younger alternate outperform you. Celia was glad that wasn't the case with her, but she nonetheless aimed her next bludger at Seamus as a warning of sorts. Don't even think of trying to outshine me. She missed, but she was sure the message had still come through.

Ivelisse scowled when the other kid managed to get past her, even more so when he actually caught the snitch. She didn’t care much for it, having done most of the work and leading him straight to it. As long as they didn’t decide to switch him for her she would be fine. She had clearly been better than Ruben last year after all. Ive shot the boy her most credible smile when he held up the snitch, looking back af Celia with little emotion when she caught her glancing over.

Avie waited for the snitch to flit about the area before it zoomed off again. He hovered on the spot, before flying off in the general direction it had vanished to.

Ivelisse was starting to get more and more annoyed with her own performance but didn’t plan on showing it, instead pushing on in looking for a sign of the snitch again.

Avie flew on in search of the snitch. Three was a magical number, and he had his hopes set on catching it one more time before practice ended. More, if he were lucky.

After a successful start to practice, Celia was having very little luck now. She aimed another bludger at Seamus, but she misjudged his flying speed, and the ball passed through the space he'd vacated.

Ivelisse was trying to shake off her annoyance. At least she wasn’t the only one who wasn’t doing too well.

Natalia wasn't paying the seekers much attention, she was focused on getting the quaffle. After Indi scored, she grabbed it and flew off with it.
