The bludger definitely hurt, but Natalia was trying not to focus on it. She caught the quaffle once it was thrown back into play, after Eleanor failed to score.
Avery searched low as the other seeker went higher, and there it was. His BFF, the snitch. He caught up, his hand clasping it. It fluttered in his palm before he released it again.
Whether it was the dueling tournament or Quidditch, Celia had always thought rules barring first years from participating in certain extracurriculars were dumb. If Avery had been on the team last year, then maybe they would have won the cup.
Ivelisse watched as Avery let go of the snitch, giving it a moment to disappear again before starting her search. She sped around the pitch, noticing a shimmer of gold near the hoops. Pushing forward she didn’t give the golden ball a change to get away and quickly wrapped her fingers around it.
The last three snitch catches must have lit a fire under Ivelisse, and Celia watched in amusement as her roommate tried to catch up. She was feeling a little smug that she didn't have that problem. It was pretty clear that she was the best beater on the team.
Even if she was currently not doing that well. Celia sighed as her bludger missed Ares again.
Avery watched as the other seeker followed suit and caught the snitch soon after he did. He waited for her to release it, before redoubling his efforts to find it again.
Celia tried to take her time setting up her next shot. Once she was sure the angle was perfect, she smacked the bludger towards Ares and it missed him — again. Celia groaned. She just had to hope that the other teams' beaters would be easier to hit than him.
After dodging the bludger, Celia looped around to follow it. Once again, she waited a bit before reaching out to strike it. When she did, the iron ball headed straight for @Ares Kuya-Tine. Celia smirked at him, knowing that he would probably be pissed off. It probably wasn't the greatest idea to antagonize another beater, but she was just happy she'd finally managed to hit him again.
As Celia flew after another bludger, she glanced at the seekers, trying to gauge whether they could take a third hit. They were certainly playing very well, judging by the number of times they'd caught the snitch even after getting hit.
