Sayuri sneaked towards the younger chaser and stole the quaffle zooming for the hoops. She failed to score again against the keeper but at least she'd managed to steal the quaffle. Hopefully they won't be this bad in an actual game.
Amanita couldn't keep up with Sayuri and Logan, quickly falling behind as the two of them shot off. It was vindicating to see Sayuri steal the quaffle, though she didn't manage to score. As much as she'd like all the chasers to perform well, it did make her feel a little better that she wasn't the only one missing almost all her shots. It probably made Gaia feel pretty good too she mused, grabbing the quaffle as it was thrown back in.
It did in fact, make Gaia feel pretty good. If she didn't know better she'd say she was starting to form some sort of a god complex over the game, alas she knew better and kept following the young chaser once she'd thrown the quaffle back to play.
Amanita wasn't feeling confident approaching the hoops, feeling the urge to try and pass again well up. She wasn't passing to Logan that was for sure, and Sybil still looked pretty beat up after taking two bludgers. Sayuri was tempting, but Amanita wouldn't be able to show the older girl she was just as good as her as a chaser if she kept letting her have the quaffle. She'd have to try herself.
It was a meek throw, so it was no surprised when Gaia was able to block it again.
Zeke had just about recovered from previous bludgers when another slammed into him, he knew he shouldn't have been stationary watching the chasers for as long as he was. Hurting all over again, Zeke limped his broom higher to see if he could get a better view for the snitch.
Gaia felt smug after blocking Logan, if only she could block him from her sisters life. Alas she’d have to just do with blocking him on the pitch. She also felt quite proud seeing the captain nodding as she threw the quaffle back for the chasers.
Gaia was on a roll today; Amanita was doing her best to try and keep an eye on her as well as the other chasers. Technique seemed important, but duking the keeper apparently would be harder than she thought. Amanita swooped in after Logan's attempt at a goal, catching the quaffle and rotating it in her hand as she flew back.
Amanita tried to zigzag again, this time leaning into the feint more with her body than her actual broom and let out a whoop when it actually worked, watching the quaffle sail through the hoops. She looked around excitedly, hoping everyone else had seen that. Especially Logan.
