Slytherin Quidditch Practice Y50 S1

Amanita shook her hands out, ready to grab the quaffle after Sayuri's shot, only to have Logan swoop instead. She still owed him back for shoving her early, and Amanita was happy to get a little practice in hassling another chaser as she shot after him.

Gaia watched with keen interest as the younger chaser shot after Logan, secretly hoping she’d give him a good shove.

Alana tried to go for one of the series but her shot missed and she hit @Gaia Athanasiou instead.

Zeke saw no snitches, only witches

Logan tried his best to ignore the firstie following him, but she did distract him a little. He decided that was the reason his shot was blocked. He turned to her. "What's your problem?"

@Amanita Castillo

Gaia groaned as a bludger collided with her side but there wasn't much time to waste as she saw Logan take aim and swooped in to block the shot. Satisfied and the pain of the bludger long forgotten Gaia threw the quaffle back into play giving the first year thumbs up.

@Amanita Castillo

Rolling her eyes at the drama of the younger chasers, Sayuri grabbed the quaffle. Not her job.

Amanita felt satisfied that Gaia was able to block Logan's shot, happy to take credit for it, doubly so when Gaia shot her a thumbs up that had her grinning back. "What? What's your problem, I'm just practicing," she shot back at Logan, completely missing Sayuri taking the quaffle while she talked to Logan. Clearly he could dish it out but he couldn't take it. "Aggressive chasers tend to do a better job of impeding the opposing team from scoring, so I thought I'd try it," she explained slowly, flicking her ponytail over her shoulder. Logan was new to the team too as she understood, so maybe he needed some pointers. @Logan Ashworth

In Sayuri's opinion all chasers should focus more on trying to score considering their aggressiveness wasn't worth sh!t if they couldn't score. It was their keeper's job to prevent people from scoring, like how Sayuri's shot was once again blocked. Unless of course they were those chasers that rely on seekers to win. If the new chasers were that pathetic, Mettlestone should just give up hope on that cup really.

Amanita had hardly moved from before, to busy trying to stare down Logan, which was annoyingly difficult when you're an 11 year old girl who still feels swamped in your quidditch gear. At least it meant she was in the prime spot to grab the quaffle when Gaia threw it back in, just barely resisting sticking her tongue out at Logan as she tucked it under her arm. Barely.

Gaia threw back the quaffle and kept an eye on the young chaser who'd taken it for herself.

Amanita tried to approach the hoops in some sort of zig-zag pattern, hoping she could confuse Gaia. Mostly, it seemed she'd just confused herself though, the shot was easily blocked. She'd have to get trickier than that it seemed to get past their keeper again, ugh.

Zeke would like another snitch catch soon.

Sayuri grabbed the quaffle

Kanako was enjoying the drama happening, and missed her swing.

Amanita didn't have as much to prove to Sayuri, she kept to herself mostly, but she still stuck close to the older girl as she grabbed the quaffle, keeping an eye on how the older chaser moved.

Finally, Sayuri scored again. Hopefully the other chasers were done with their drama

Gaia huffed as Sayuri finally managed to get the quaffle past her again, though she supposed that was a good sign. Throwing the quaffle back into play she felt rather proud of the amount of blocks shed managed so far.

Kanako pouted as she missed again.

Amanita leaned forward on her broom, trying to see if she could work out what angle Sayuri had used to get past Gaia. She nearly jumped when she realized she could move in and grab the quaffle now that it was free, flying forward and sheepishly taking it, tucking it tight against her body.

Alana didn’t hit anything.

Kanako was getting a bit annoyed now. It's be really great to hit something right now.

Ignatius was enjoying the drama, it distracted from him not finding the snitch.

Amanita tried to mimic what she'd seen Sayuri do when scoring earlier, shoulders dropping in defeat when her shot was still blocked. Vanity must have seen something in her to put her on the team she tried to remind herself, straightening up on her broom as the quaffle was thrown back into play.

There was a strange deep seated grain of kind thought within Ignatius that made him want to support their youngest chaser. Probably helped by the fact that she was Professor Castillo's daughter, and being on her good side probably would help with his, but there was the strangest hint of selflessness within that. It was quickly superseded by not wanting to draw attention to how abysmally his search was going, however.
