The closer their match against Gryffindor got, the more anxious Blake became. He had to win this match. Slytherin were champions, and he wouldn't be the one to ruin their reputation. So he had booked more pitch time than usual, hoping to give the team every chance he could to prepare for another championship match. Far from his mood in the last practice, now all Blake wanted to focus on was playing. So as soon as everyone was assembled he blew his whistle and kicked off into the air, starting the practice off immediately and beginning his search for the snitch.

((No arrivals this time, let's just get right into it!))

Slytherin,Practice

Liusaidh arrived at the pitch and immediately took the quaffle, flying towards the hoops. She was the best player on this team afterall.

Daintree arrived at the quidditch pitch and immediately shot up into the air to get started on hitting some bludgers.

Ruben mounted his broom and headed up looking for the snitch. This was his opportunity to prove Blake that what happened on the last semester's practice wasn't just beginner's luck.

Mordred took to the sky as soon as a foot touched the green. He flew to the North Hoops ready to stop Liusaidh's pursuit.

Liusaidh threw the ball at the keeper and frowned as he caught it. She booed at him loudly but flew back to try and get the ball when it was thrown back out.

Daintree was continuing his search for a bludger, hopeful that one would come about soon.

Blake was relieved to see the team kicking into action, turning his attention to the search for the snitch. He needed to catch it soon, to prove to himself and his team that his failure in the last practice had just been a fluke. Nothing had changed, he was still him, but at the same time Blake was terrified of losing to Gryffindor. It felt like he would lose something important if he did.

Jasper kicked off into the air once practice started, following Liusaidh as she took off with the quaffle. Mordred stopped her attempt to score, and Jasper caught the quaffle as it was thrown back into play. He tucked it under his arm and flew off.

Ruben kept searching the snitch, hoping to find it soon.

Jasper flew half a lap around the pitch, then returned to Mordred and attempted to score. He grinned when it flew through the middle hoop.

Blake glanced down at his team just in time to see Jasper score, relieved his teammates had gotten into the action quickly. "Good shot!" He called out to Jasper, before returning his attention to the search for the snitch.

Mordred grumbled watching the quaffle head through the hoops. But he threw the ball back into play

Pleased that Jasper had managed to score, Blake looked away from his teammates and tried to focus on his own search for the snitch, circling the pitch and keeping his eyes open for any sign of gold.

Blake flew on, slowly circling the pitch and looking around for a telltale glimmer of gold.

Daintree wasn't having much luck but he would keep trying.

As soon as the ball was thrown back out Liusaidh rushed forward to grab it, immediately beginning a circle back to be able to score.

Blake kept searching, eyes scanning the pitch for any sign of the snitch.

As soon as Liusaidh was close enough she threw the ball. Swearing loudly and colourfully as she missed the hoops.

Daintree was continuing to have no luck finding any bludgers as he flew around the pitch.

Blake completed his first circle of the pitch and flew higher, hoping to find the snitch soon.

Ruben kept flying around the pitch looking for the snitch

Blake spotted something golden on the other side of the pitch and pressed himself to his broom, shooting after it. By the time he reached it though, whatever he had seen had vanished, and he returned to lapping the pitch in frustration.

Daintree spotted a bludger heading towards Blake and raced forward hitting it away but in doing so hitting it directly towards the keeper, Mordred. He didn't even apologise just continued what he was doing in protecting the seekers from bludgers.

rule 2a.

Liusaidh was able to catch the ball as it was thrown back out and immediately went to circle back round and try scoring again.
