Slytherin Quidditch Practice Y36/S1

Sapphire was pleased with Maddoxs success, watching him closely. She swung halfheartedly at a passing bludger, not bothered when she missed.

Daintree was still keen to try and hit something, but it seemed that he wasn't having too much success with it. But he just had to keep trying.

As the ball was thrown back out to play, Derek couldn't help but feel a little frustrated by the newbie's attitude. He was playing well, but Derek couldn't help but think he wasn't a team player - admittedly nor was Derek, since when he caught the ball, he didn't intend to pass it to anyone.

Blake flew on, pulling his broom higher to try and search the skies above the practice for a bit, since he was having no luck at his current altitude.

Blake flew on, soaring high over his teammates and keeping his eyes on the skies, trying desperately to spot any hint of anything that might be the snitch. Where had all his past success gone?

Derek got close enough to the hoops and then threw the ball, exceedingly frustrated when this occasion the keeper somehow managed to catch it. he just had to be better, derek figured.

Daintree continued to search around for a bludger. He'd find one soon.

Paige caught the ball with surprising ease and threw it back into play, already readying herself for the next attempt.

Another older boy tried to score and also failed, and Maddox had to wonder why they weren’t as good as he was. He flew forwards and grabbed the Quaffle again, tucking it under his arm. He didn’t need to pass it this time.

Maddox flew round the pitch just for the sake of it. He knew he had the Quaffle more than anyone else really so maybe it would be practise for them to nick it off him too.

Daintree didn't care about what others were doing, just focused on what felt like a pointless task of going for bludgers and failing to send them in any one direction to a hit a player.

Derek was following the new chaser with the ball. He could provide support if necessary, but it seemed sort of like he was just flying the long way round to the hoops.

Jasper was getting annoyed at the new chaser for hogging the quaffle, and he flew up to him and managed to steal it from him. He grinned, flying off to the hoops.

Maddox glared when the Quaffle was stolen off him, although at least the other Chasers were doing more now than just flying around aimlessly. Maddox waited for the boy to fail again, because he'd yet to show Maddox that he was any good.

Daintree hated that he wasn't having much success at all, but it wasn't stopping him from trying. He'd keep hitting those bludgers until he got some - any purchase.

Derek watched as the other young chaser - a boy he couldn't admit to liking but at this point in time he liked way more than the even younger chaser - took the ball and continued their journey towards the hoops.

Maddox was one of the most patient people, although seeing a chance to steal the Quaffle, he couldn’t resist trying. He moved up behind Jasper, jolting it straight out of his arm and tucking it under his own before darting off in a different direction.

With the Quaffle going back and forth from Chaser to Chaser, Paige had to be a bit more alert. They wouldn't score today, not if she could prevent it from happening.

Sapphire swung half-heartedly at a bludger, still watching the team more than trying to hit anything. Maddox and Jasper seemed to be arguing over the quaffle, but that was good, the other team would definitely try to steal it from them so it was good to have a bit of friction. Daintree was chasing the bludgers, and she couldn't help but call out to him. "Try to watch where they're going instead of where they're at," She offered. "It's easier to cut them off than to chase them down," She turned then to see how Paige would handle the chasers.

@Daintree Vaskevold

Daintree listened to the words Sapphire - the captain - fired at him. he would've preferred if she hated but he was supposed to learn from her so, he had to. He focused himself instead trying to appear appreciative enough before focusing on finding a bludger.

Derek was getting real frustrated with the stealing of the quaffle, he knew it wasn't even like the boys were throwing to each other as passes. He kinda just wanted this practice to be over.

Maddox wasted no time heading to the hoops, hoping Jasper wasn't about to intercept him once more, and threw it neatly into the hoop yet again. Apparently their Keeper needed practise too.

Paige groaned after another one went through, resisting the urge to flip someone off. She threw the Quaffle to the nearest Chaser once she had picked it up.

Derek caught the ball as it was thrown back out, and began to circle around to try to get it in the hoops. He hoped that he might get it this time, he really hated being shown up in scoring by a new member of the team.

Daintree was really trying to keep Sapphire's advice on board, so to his absolute surprise when he managed to hit one, and it hit the chaser currently holding the ball - some older seventh year - he knew that no matter how much it annoyed him, he needed to listen to her. Her advice had helped. He just needed to be better overall.
