Horror Zhefarovich looked around the pitch when he got there, a little bit early. It was expected considering that he was now captain until his final year. Then he might take someone under his wing, or just throw someone under the knight bus. Who knew. The weather was cloudy, but it was not raining. That was a shame. He would have preferred the more miserable of weather. Once the team got there, he just motioned to the sky. "First game is soon. So, get to it. And don't be soft on each other." Horror glanced at the beaters for that, since they were in charge of hitting others, not so much of protecting - in his mind anyway. He mounted his broom and went up to the goals to assume his position.

Sayuri grabbed the quaffle as soon as the ball launched. She was looking forward to actually participating in games this year. If she was lucky, she'd get to play against Jonah.

Sunny was pleased to have made the team again, still as an alt but she didn't care about that. She got on her broom and started searching for bludgers to hit.

Sayuri threw a shot at the hoops and watched as the captain saved it. She was out of practice, but there was time.

Ignatius was extremely displeased. Not with his role on the team, no, he was the seeker, that was where he was meant to be. But there were four beaters. And they were all horrible scary girls like Sunny and Vanity. This was hideously unfair and if Horror didn't seem like he'd break Ignatius' neck for speaking up, he would've given the captain a piece of his mind. Instead, he simply got on his broom and started searching for the snitch, hyper vigilant in his watch for bludgers.

Kanako was honestly surprised to have made the team, even as an alternate. But Kanako wasn't honest, and she hadn't divulged this to anyone, not even her annoying brother. He'd solemnly congratulated her though she knew he didn't care a jot about sports. Still, he meant well, she supposed. Their captain didn't waste words which suited Kanako just fine so she launched up into the sky and prepared to find a bludger, which was proving harder than she had anticipated.

Ignatius' heart was pounding heavily in his small chest and his hands were a little bit sweaty, but he was managing to avoid bludgers so far. The snitch, however, was avoiding him.

Ignatius was jittery - at least he could stay on his broom, but he was so nervous looking for bludgers it made looking for the snitch much harder.

With the quaffle thrown back into play, Sayuri catches the quaffle and takes it around for a loop

Alana jumped straight on her broom and started looking for bludgers to hit.

One loop and Sayuri made a beeline for the hoops, swerving left at the last second before throwing the quaffle in, smirking as it got past the captain.

Enoch caught the quaffle after the youngest chaser caught the ball and then began circling back.

Ignatius wasn't finding the snitch yet, which was to be expected really.

Ignatius yelped in pain as a bludger hit him. He winced, shuddering but he stayed on his broom and kept flying. Nobody here was going to go easy on him, the poor dear.

Kanako was irritated. Others were hitting bludgers, why wasn't she? Disappointed, she continued to try and get close to one.

As soon as Enoch was close he tossed the ball and was pleased when it sailed in.

Kanako tried to hit a bludger, but missed.

Sayuri did not expect the bludger that came her way and she was blinded by pain for a second. She pushed forward gritting her teeth. This was nothing. She grabbed the quaffle and took it for a spin.

Kanako was annoyed at the bludgers. They seemed to be avoiding her. That was her justification anyway.

Still sore, Ignatius did his best to fly away from the team to search for the snitch.

Alana zeroed in on a bludger and hit it with her bludger, intending to clear it from her team but instead it hit @Horror Zhefarovich.

With the pain in her arm from that bludger hit, her throw was off and she missed the hoops entirely.
