Slytherin Quidditch Practice One

Leda was pleased to see Blake was just as keen as her to catch the snitch, but she still needed to once to keep up with him.

Blake kept after the snitch, chasing just behind Leda, his eyes never leaving the golden ball. He was ready to succeed again and hopefully soon claim the star position he had held on his old hockey team.

Leda wasn’t quite fast enough. With one of her arms stretched out she was trying to grab the ball, when she heard the familiar sound of a bludger coming at her. She retracted her arm just in time to see the ball fly straight across the front end of her broom, and breaking hard in the air she completely lost where the snitch had gone, breathing hard as she was just grateful to not have been hit a second time.

Jasper winced when Jai got hit, but was secretly glad it hadn't been him. He was surprised when Sara passed the ball to him, but took it happily. He flew up to the goals and attempted to score, but Mordred blocked him again. He sighed, frustrated, then flew off.

Blake was so fixated on the snitch he didn't hear the rushing coming towards them until Leda had pulled to an abrupt halt. Panicking, he pulled the nose of his broom up and shot vertical, losing his balance completely and almost spinning out into the stands. By the time he righted himself, Blake had lost sight of the snitch, and he groaned in frustration. What a waste.

Leda looked up to see if Blake had managed to move out the way too, and luckily he’d flown upwards. Irritated at having to begin the hunt again, Leda shook herself clear of the nerves and slowly began to speed up once more.

Trying to shake the dizziness from his out of control spin, Blake looked around in a daze, trying to catch sight of any sign of the snitch, gritting his teeth when nothing presented itself. Swearing under his breath, he set off in a random direction, returning to aimless flying.

Sapphire was so busy watching the sides she didn't think it would come in from the front. She was startled as the seekers dispersed in front of her, barely leaning out of the way of the bludger. It ruffled her hair as it zoomed by. Cursing to herself, she blew her hair out of her eyes. Shotting Leda an apologetic glance, Sapphire turned and shot after the crazy bludger.

Mordred was not fond of getting hit with bludgers. It was his second time so far getting hit by one. Luckily, the quaffle still did not go through any of the hoops.

Jai definitely did not like the experience of getting hit by a bludger. If he was really being honest, this was his first time being hit by one, of course his mum had not been using bludgers at home when they had been playing so this was definitely new. He grit his teeth on the pain on his left shoulder though as he watched Sara pass to Jasper and the latter make the score. Jai flew after the quaffle and grabbed it looking around for someone to pass to.

Having no one nearby to pass the quaffle to, Jai attempted to shoot the quaffle only to end up having the keeper block his shot. This was definitely getting frustrating.

Sara sighed when Jasper failed to score, she didn’t know what else to do besides send her fellow chasers an encouraging smile or a thumbs up. She knew realistically though that it didn’t matter all that much if hardly any of them got the quaffle in. She didn’t see Jai take possession of the quaffle as he too attempted to score, unsuccessfully. Sara flew in and grabbed the quaffle, before she did a lap and began to approach the hoops.

Jai watched as Sara took possession of the quaffle once more before he flew just near her to provide assistance if he could.

Seeing Jai nearby, Sara tried to pass to him, using the same strategies she had with Jasper. She desperately wanted the pass thing to work, so she flew next to Jai in case he wasn’t up for attempting to score and wanted to pass back to her, or something.

Jai caught Sara's pass although winced at the motion it brought on his injured shoulder. Nevertheless, he still attempted to score only for his shot to go wide and miss the left hoop. This was definitely getting very irritating and even if he did want to blame it on his injury, he definitely knew that was not the only reason he was missing so much.
