Amber's third year had been overshadowed by the rift between her and Ainsley, and now her fourth year was starting off with tension with another girl in her dormitory. Everything had seemed so much simpler in her first year, back when she had no problems making friends or keeping them. Had she changed? She didn't know, but her friendship with Ainsley was too important to her to let it slip away. Things were getting better between them, but there was still an awkward tension in the air. Now that her relationship with Wyatt was over, Amber hoped things would smooth out. But she had seen Ainsley kiss a girl, some girl Amber didn't even know. So now Amber had no boyfriend but Ainsley was seeing someone, and she had apparently not seen it as important to tell Amber.
But that was probably Amber's own fault. Her reaction to Ainsley's confession she liked girls hadn't been great, even now the idea made her a little nervous but she knew how important it was to her friend to be accepted. Amber had decided to show her acceptance loud and clear, by telling her she knew and approved of the girlfriend. She didn't know if she approved, honestly. She wanted to know who this girl was, how they had met, how long Ainsley had like her, how long they had been seeing each other and much more! But she had the feeling it would be better to take it slow, let Ainsley tell those things herself when she wanted to.
So now Amber was looking for her friend so she could discuss the situation and show how supportive she was. The gardens were a safe bet, as Ainsley loved nature. If not here, she might be at the wild patch club where Amber planned to check next. But to her relief, she spotted the familiar red hair in the distance and approached. It didn't occur to her until it was too late that their falling out had started in the gardens as well. Hopefully that didn't mean it brought them bad luck. "Ainsley, hi!" She said with a smile. "I was hoping I'd find you here, can we talk?"
