Ravenclaw Quidditch Practice Y45 S1

Lucy threw the quaffle but ultimately missed.
 
Audrey wondered if bludgers were even real at this point.
 
Lucy made to retrieve the quaffle once more, feeling like she was starting to get the hang of things. She was a little nervous about what the game would really be like, but she was feeling like she'd improved even over the short amount of time they'd been practicing. Lucy liked her teammates as well, she thought to herself.
 
Still nothing.
 
Michael got himself ready to defend again, really looking forward to the game.
 
Lucy tried to put a little spin on it but it didn't work, failing to get in.
 
Savannah did not catch the snitch.
 
Someone once said insanity was doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Audrey felt, appropriately enough, as if she was losing her mind.

Lucy retrieved the quaffle and readied herself to score.
 
Hamish kept up his search.
 
Lucy went to score, and managed to get it in!
 
Hamish's eyes were still scanning, searching the skies- there! He shot off, chasing the snitch around for a few minutes, before wrapping his hand around the thing. Feeling satisfied, he released the snitch and took the time to survey the team, seeing how everyone was doing.
 
Savannah kept searching for the snitch.
 
Savannah did not catch the snitch.
 
Lucy was starting to really ache as she pulled up to another bludger, struggling to put a good amount of force behind her swing. She was disappointed when the ball flew past the captain, but she perked up when it hit one of the other beaters instead. At least she had accomplished something.

Not only was Audrey not hitting anything, now she'd been hit in return. If her father was here, he would have been yelling at her for the last 20 minutes. She winced, breathing slowly through the ache.
 
Savannah did not catch the snitch.
 
Monday did not find anything to hit.
 
Audrey was going to put her head into the lake and scream for a bit after practice.
 
Michael's rear was starting to really ache.
 
Emboldened by her hit, Lucy chased after the bludger and hit it again, squealing with delight as she managed to land a hit on the captain this time.

Lucy flew after the quaffle, grabbing it in both her hands, and flew up to situate herself a short distance from the goal hoops.
 
Michael kept watch.
 
Finally, finally, Audrey sent a bludger careening towards @Hamish Reid , relieved to finally get a breakthrough.
