Ravenclaw Quidditch Practice Y40 S1

Hamish stopped for a moment, cleaning his glasses before returning to his search.

Juniper kept an eye on things for a moment before trying to blast another bludger again, successful this time as it hit @Axel Zhefarovich II

Valerius x2
Branson x1
Niklaus x1
Xiuying x1
Sawyer x1
Juniper x1
Axel x1

Sawyer had been honed in on Niklaus, intent not to let his roommate get another goal, that he wasn't prepared when he passed to Xuiying instead. He tried to adjust to block but he couldn't move to the right angle before she'd already got the quaffle through the hoop. Shaking his head sheepishly, Sawyer threw the quaffle back out, glad when Branson was able to grab it and go.

Xiuying followed close behind Branson, hoping to maybe get the chance to take it.

Sawyer watched the chasers head towards the other end of the hoops, hoping their new keeper was doing alright after taking that bludger earlier.

As soon as Branson got close enough he threw and was very happy to watch it go through one of the hoops. He hoped he could only get better during the practice and keep it up during the game.

Valeria hit another bludger and watched as it went in entirely the wrong direction.

Xiuying caught the quaffle once it was thrown in and headed back to the hoops.

Juniper was glad to have got another hit in and tried to give encouraing looks to the other beaters. Usually, she was at least able to knock the other team out of the sky but things weren't looking great for their upcoming game from her end.

Finn kept a tight grip on his broom, wincing slightly when Juniper looked at him. He wasn't doing nearly as well as he should as a starting player, he knew that, and he had no doubt the older girl was reconsidering choosing him.

Sawyer grinned as Branson managed to get past their new keeper, trying to make a note of how the chaser had moved, though he mostly succeeded in looking very squinty until Xiuying had the quaffle again and he suddenly had a target much closer to keep an eye on.

when xiuying was close enough to the hoops, she threw the quaffle towards the hoops but completely missed her shot.

Sawyer had been ready for Xiuying but he still fumbled the quaffle a bit as he moved to grab it, just managing to keep ahold of it with the tips of his fingers before throwing it back out.

Finn avoided looking at any of his teammates as he flew on, trying to get closer to a nearby bludger.

Sawyer watched Finn and Juniper circling, musing at their different form. If Juniper was a shark waiting to strike, Finn kinda looked more like a baby deer trying not to fall over. Or off, as it were.

Branson grabbed the ball as it was thrown back out and began going towards the hoops for his 'team'.

Valeria didn't enjoy missing bludgers or sending them in the wrong direction but it was what she'd just managed to do again.

Xiuying followed Branson close behind, hoping to manage to take the ball if the opportunity was there.

Sawyer drifted back and forth across the goals as he watched the chasers head to the other end of the pitch.

As soon as Branson was close to the hoops he threw the ball and was pretty frustrated when he missed.

Valeria was pleased when she hit the bludger and it raced forward and hit the chaser with the bludger dead on. It was a little bad that it hit her friend. "Sorry!"
@Xiuying Huang
Valerius x2
Branson x1
Niklaus x1
Xiuying x2
Sawyer x1
Juniper x1
Axel x1

Branson didn't manage his shot and Sawyer got ready for the chasers to head back his way, grimacing when Xiuying took another bludger. Maybe it'd make his job a little easier at least.

Axel forgot that just because a Beater was on his team didn't mean the bludgers they hit couldn't come his way. He watched as the captain hit a bludger, and it wasn't until it connected with him that he learned this hard fact. Axel yelped. He still managed to save an attempt from Branson. Grimacing, he threw the quaffle out.

Xiuying caught the quaffle as it was thrown back in, but just as she caught the ball, she winced in pain, not expecting the bludger to come into contact with her shoulder. She put her thumbs up to her friend as she apologised, before continuing onto the other side towards the hoops.
