Just a few weeks had passed since Reeve was last on the grounds, but he was ready to oversee the next game. Readying the pitch with some school brooms and the official game chest, Reeve listened to the sound of footfalls filling the stands, the murmurs of the crowd helping to create an atmosphere filled with excitement.

It was another beautiful day albeit a fair amount warmer than during his prior visit. The sun also felt brighter. Reeve greeted the captains as they appeared, waving them over to review the rules with them ahead of the game.

OOCOut of Character:
Arrivals only please. I encourage all players to use the time before the game begins to refresh your memory of the rules and gameplay.
Captains: Please make sure your teams are set in the QCP prior to posting your lineup.

Lilith was more than ready to play the game today. She felt like she had a pretty solid grip on her position already and her newfound ease with the game with removing the extra pressure from herself felt good. Lilith squinted her eyes a little as she looked up to the sky, it seemed like a good day for a good game. Giving a smile to her captains she settled in to wait for the game to begin, having a little stretch just to ready for the possible bludger hits and strained muscles form the chase of the snitch.

Teddy was ready to go for the game against Ravenclaw. They’d faced them in last season’s final, and won. They had to beat them again this season if Gryffindor wanted to see another final and hold onto the Quidditch cup. Teddy gathered his team for a huddle before the game started, signalling to Fraser that he was ready to go. "Hi everyone! Right we beat Ravenclaw last year and we can do it again, but we've got to stay focused. In particular, watch out for bludgers because Audrey has been on a roll of late with her aim. I think that's it. Otherwise remember your training and have fun. We've got this. Go Gryffindor!" Teddy broke up the huddle and prepared for the game to start.

Fifi had caught numerous snitches while they'd be practising for this game, so much so that he was incredibly excited for the real thing. He knew he was only an alternate but in his position, who knew what would happen. He glanced across to Lilith, wondering if she was nervous; annoyingly it didnt look like it. Felix was hyped for Gryffindors winning streak, and could only hope Ravenclaw didn't take the loss too hard.

Cyrus was a little nervous about this game, but he hoped he would get to play this time. He waited on the pitch for Lucy or Lucy to speak to them, glancing around at the stands in wonder. It never failed to impress him how busy it got at matches, and he hoped Ravenclaw would do well during this match. At least it seemed like they had good weather today.

The atmosphere on the pitch was even more intense that it was from the stands. Demi stood with the rest of the Ravenclaw team, awaiting to hear from the Captains, and shot Cyrus a grin. It hadn't been so long ago that the pair had watched a previous game from somewhere in the crowds, and it was strange to think about how much had changed in such a short amount of time.

Audrey sneezed as she stood waiting for the game to start. Was she coming down with something? Or was someone just talking about her? She glanced over at Teddy with a raised eyebrow, before turning back to her own team, idly resting her bat on her shoulder.

Miles was buzzing with energy, a large grin on his face as he gripped his broom and stood with his teammates. This was it, his first Quidditch match and chance to prove he really belonged on the team. He couldn't wait to get started. This was going to be fun.

Lucy felt like she was buzzing as she joined the rest of her team on the pitch, eyes constantly flicking up to the stands. Her dad was here, her sisters were here... she hadn't been on a great streak recently, and she had to fix that. They had never actually seen her play before, only heard her stories about their great victories, and now with them in the audience, she had to step up and be the player she had been in third year.

"Okay guys, no pressure or whatever, but my family's come to watch today so I wanna see your best game!" She beamed, hoping she sounded more cheerful and less nervous than she did in her head. "I mean, we always wanna play our best though, so don't treat it different! Just everybody work hard as a team and we'll make it through to the finals!" She definitely sounded much too bright now, and Lucy glanced over at the other Lucy desperately, hoping she could manage a better pep-talk.

Lucy could sense her fellow Lucy's nerves - she had been aware of them since earlier, and wanted to be as good of a friend and captain as she could be. She smiled supportively as Lucy spoke, but felt the smallest smidgen of bitterness. Her family would never come watch her play. They thought quidditch was frivolous and unworth it - at least, not in the long run. Lucy shook off the thoughts though, and addressed the team after her fellow Lucy had finished. "That's right, we've got to show Gryffindor who's boss! And have fun while we do it! That's the best revenge for what happened last year." Lucy honestly wasn't that caught up in it but using rivalry was a good way to get people to up their game. "We've got this! Chasers, get the ball and shoot like crazy! Beaters, show no mercy! Violet, show them we're not to be messed with and last but not least, Lilith, go for gold! Literally!" Lucy tried not to chuckle at her own joke and half-succeeded. "Go team go!"

Aroha wasn't feeling the most confident. She'd really been shown up in the practice sessions but she was trying not to let it get to her. She wasn't a terrible seeker. She was just on a bad streak. She was actually half-convinced that Felix had cheated somehow in practice - but then again she couldn't quite explain how. Aroha stepped onto the pitch and listened to Teddy's speech, starting to talk herself up in her head. She could do this. She had gotten the snitch against Ravenclaw before and she could do it again. She would prove herself.

Violet was keen for the first game of the semester and arrived promptly to the pitch. She gathered around as the captain told them all that her family was there which meant they all needed to play their best. Violet scoffed a little at this, not really caring what the captain's family thought of her. She liked Lucy's speech though, and would definitely show them not to mess with her. She then took position as she waited for the whistle to blow.

Rose was ready to sit the game out. It was annoying that she was just here sort of just watching, but she was going to cheer her team on regardless!

Reeve reviewed the line up cards before nodding his head and then beginning to review some last minute instructions. He finished, sending the captains back to their teams. The referee cast the Sonorous charm on himself and then spoke, "The season continues! Welcome! Ravenclaw, you will be keeping the northern hoops and Gryffindor, the southern ones. Let's get into the air!"

The referee opened the game chest and released the bludgers and the snitch, all of which swiftly flew away into the sky. The ref reached for his broom, quaffle in tow. A moment later he was in the air, tossing the quaffle into the sky and yelling "Game on!"

OOCOut of Character: Game notes, please read

1. Be sure to review the rules. Any questions regarding the rules should first be addressed to your captain(s). If they cannot answer or need additional clarity to support you, they can PM me.
2. If you have any issues seeing the score on the referee's first post or with your access to the quidditch system, please send a PM including both me and your captain(s). It may be that they've forgotten to add you to the system or may be a bigger issue.
3. You should refresh the page before you post! Someone might sneak in a post while you are working on yours and first post counts.
4. You should always be pressing a button, whichever is appropriate for your game play during your post. Doing so boosts your success rate as well as allows the timer to kick in appropriately for your teammates and opponents.
5. After a player is hit by the bludger 3x, gameplay should stop. This allows for a quicker return to game post- substitution.
6. The game is meant to be interactive, so read your fellow players posts before posting! Stick with the game from beginning to end, from kicking off the ground to touching back down! Have fun!

Lucy couldn't remember her heart ever thudding this hard at the start of a game, doing her best not to focus on the stands as she took off. She couldn't quite resist having a glance as she passed the Ravenclaw stands on her first lap though, beaming as she spotted her family and giving them a quick wave with her bat. They were here. And now to business.

Audrey took to the skies and immediately started searching for bludgers.

Family greeted, Lucy did her best to put them out of her mind and focus on the game. She pulled her broom up and swung hard on a bludger, groaning as it flew clean past the Gryffindor seeker.

William was excited for his first game even if it would be spent on the bench. He took his place after the captains' team talks and watched as the game began.

Cyrus managed to grab the quaffle and flew off with it quickly.

Violet was quick to head into the sky as the whistle blew, and flew straight to the hoops. She was glad that Cyrus took the quaffle first, so that she could take a bit of a breath before jumping into the game.

Aroha flew off immediately in search for the snitch.

Lucy flew near Cyrus to support him, in case the opposing team's chasers came after him.

Teddy mounted his broom and kicked off on the whistle, heading to defend the hoops against Ravenclaw.

fiona flew up into the air, looking for a bludger to hit

Aroha thought she saw something in the distance, something resembling gold but it turned out to be nothing.
