Chante felt kind of bad that she's been sort of M.I.A. around Hogwarts except when she was on patrol of course. Most of the time she was missing due to the fact her mother was pregnant and she offered to help out as much as she can with the creatures her mom looks after. This prompt the sixth year to sign up for rose deliveries to be a little more active around her peers. Chante was given a basket of roses and notes to hand them out to their receptions. Chante's first rose was pink and it was for @Elliot Briar. "Hey, Elliot!" The tall girl greeted the young boy as she approached him. "Happy Valentine's Day, this little rose is for you."

Elliot was shuffling his toast around on his plate. He knew he should get a move on and have a good breakfast for all the walking he was going to do today, but he was mostly busy trying to plan a route around the school to ease his nerves. He looked up when someone said his name, smiling up at Chante. "Oh hey, thanks, Chante. Getting an early start?" He wondered if maybe he should have started his deliveries already, but the idea of not having a plan in place made his stomach twist, so he dismissed it.

Chante nods with a smile, "Yeah, I figure I get started now and end early to get something else done for the day. Busy me," she handed over the pink, pretty rose. It was such a lovely shade of pink, Chante was a little envious of the boy to be receiving it. "Did you sign up to hand out roses?" She would ask while she fished out his note from the basket.

Elliot nodded to Chante, saying a soft thank you as she handed over the rose. He tried not to blush, suspecting that he was failing horribly when he was it was a pink one. It was probably from Lars, but he still couldn't help how his ears went hot. "Uh yeah, trying to get a game plan together before getting started." He said, fussing with the rose stem and nodding to the rose basket he'd picked up already down near his feet. There was a flower crown on top that Elliot was looking forward to wearing but he didn't want to stick out too much while he was just eating.

Chante smiles widely, adoring Elliot's reaction upon getting a pink rose. "Awe, you're blushing. That's so sweet," she hands him the note that came with it. "Here you go. Well, whatever you come up with I hope it works out for you, try not to start too late or you'll be done by midnight," she advised him. "And you don't want to be roaming around after curfew," that'll force her hands to report and escort him back to their common room. Chante has been very lenient about taking house points. She'd rather the student fix their behavior than deduct house points other students worked so hard earning.

I’m sending you pink because I think I should, but you always make me feel like yellow which means you make me happy. I included a drawing of Penne for you too. See you at the dance?

Lars

Elliot felt himself blush harder when Chante pointed it out, diverting his eyes up to the ceiling then down to the offered note to avoid eye contact, mumbling something that might have been another thanks or just an acknowledgment. The note, and accompanied drawing from Lars were sweet, Elliot hoped he'd run into the other boy later today to thank him. Though it did make him wonder if his own rose had been a bit lackluster. Focusing back on Chante, he managed to look back at her when she mentioned not leaving his own deliveries too long. "I don't think I'll be that long.. I hope.. I just like to plan things a bit." He said, trying not to second guess his own plan now. Clearing Chante's was already working out for her, but at least this way Elliot felt a little less nervous than he would just wandering around.

Chante is going to be a big sister soon, and already she perfected the big sister teasing the little sibling trait. She gave a little giggle, "Okay, let me know if you need any help with anything. See you around." Chante waves at the younger boy and continues with her deliveries. At the rate she was going she'll probably be done by curfew. If today's lessons didn't drag out, maybe sooner.
