As I've been working on my last RP at HNZ(readhere!), I've had a lot of time to think about the impact this site has had on me. I realized just the other day that I've been a member for almost a a quarter of my life (a little less than five years.) Wow. While I've been here, I've made lifelong friends from all over the globe (some of whom I've met and some who I intend to meet,) I've improved my writing (tremendously, I might add,) and I've had SOOOO much fun. Without HNZ, I'm not sure how well I would have done in high school. HNZ wasn't only the place I turned to for hours on end for fun, it was the place I turned to for support. I didn't know it then, but HNZ was my refuge.
Once I started inching closer and closer to university, the thrill of RPing began to slip away from me. I stuck aryound because of the community, this community of brilliant, creative, caring, and all-around-fantastic people. I'll drop by every few moons because of this community. However, I'm freeing myself of my characters on here and all of the responsibilities that go along with them.
If you're interested, I've filled the spoiler tag below with what
happens to my characters. I don't think I'll be editing any of their biographies, so this will be the final say on all of them. (Also, if you would want to help me decide the fate of one of these characters, you could skip to the bottom of the spoiler!)
As for myself, my future is a book that I still have to write (please forgive the cliche.) I'll be graduating from university in a year-and-a-half. Right now, my areas of study (aka majors) are Spanish and Ojibwe. Career-wise, I'm leaning more towards Ojibwe. I'd like to get involved in the language revitalization movement.
Ultimately, though, I want to be a published writer. I have HNZ to thank for helping me improve my writing skills. Instead of playing in someone else's world, I now have the tools to create my own.
I love this place and it (as well as its members) will always have a tiny piece of my heart. And, if you ever want/need to contact me:

[li]Skype: PM me.
[li]DeviantArt or FictionPress: I've been posting up some of my writing on both of these sites. If you'd like to peek through either of my portfolios, again, feel free to PM me.

[li]And if you just want to PM me, you can do that too. Like I said earlier, I'll pop in sometimes and I will definitely be able to read any messages then.[/li][/ul]
To wrap this up, there's no word for goodbye in Ojibwe. Gigawaabamin(see you
later) is the closest you can get, and much more appropriate for when it comes to me and Hogwarts New Zealand.
So, Gigawaabamin inim!

[ul][li]Dorian De Luca: I'm a little sad that I never did much with him. I would like to expand his story in my personal writing. He won't be a werewolf anymore. I'll keep you guys posted when something comes of it.
As for the Dorian on HNZ, he still lives in a forest somewhere in New Zealand, brewing potions that he occasionally sells in Bleak Street. He thinks about Andromeda often.

[li]Gabriel Lloyd: He leaves HNZ's headmaster position and moves back to the Americas with his family, as his son, Benjamin, is growing older.
[li]Tristan Drage & family: Tristan and Julie are finally able to settle down in Churchill, Ontario, keeping away from authorities and Death Eaters. He has finally found his son, Christian, and brought them back home. Christian, Evan, and Elijah will attend a Canadian wizarding school, while Eliza is going into a muggle school.
[li]Christian Dolohov-Drage: Christian has been reunited with his father's family and will attend a wizarding school in Canada.
[li]Brunhilde Sigurd: Brunhilde stays in New Zealand to be close to her adopted daughter, Giselle Varius. She quits her job at the Ministry and opens a dance studio.
[li]Leif Sigurd & family: Leif, Daisy and the kids stay in Sydney, Australia. Leif and Daisy have jobs at the Australian ministry. Anders, Annika and Ameliah are educated by a private tutor.
[li]Valcan Drage: Valcan and Sarah stay in Norway for good. As he is getting on in his years, Valcan doesn't do much with the Death Eaters anymore. He spends most of his time in the family library, intending to read its entire collection before death comes for him.
[li]Chace Harker: Chace opens up a shop and lives with his wonderful wife, Katalina (Vanderhol) Harker. Chace and Kat adopt a few children, who all take a liking to flying, which scares the heck out of their father. True to his character, Chace collides into everything possible while on a broomstick, leading to his nickname, Crash Harker.
[li]Julian Faulkner: Julian is another character I would love to include in my personal writing.
On HNZ, he (or she?) passes his/her position as the leader of the Death Eaters on to someone else, confident that his/her work is done. He or she disappears into the great, wide world.
[li]Estrella Drage: Estrella leaves New Zealand for good and moves to the Midwestern United States with her four kids, living there permanently. Estrella is happy being near her muggle family, though she has a special place in her heart for her friends at Hogwarts New Zealand. She becomes a librarian and substitute professor at Salem Witches' Institute.
[li]Erik Drage: Now for the big question: What happens to Erik? Does he return to Canada to reunite with his family, or does he stay at Hogwarts New Zealand as an NPC (Non-Playable Character,) sluffing off in class, pulling pranks, and goofing around with his best bud, Duncan Wraxvalt? All characters at the school would be able to include him within their RPs and would be free to godmod him. He'd make a great filler character! (With the section option, I would create a bio for him.)[/li][/ul]
