Malfoy Manor number 2

Liz was ready to argue, but instead turned to Lucius. "Grandfather, I hope it's not too demanding to ask this, but could we have access to a washroom? Just saying, I fly hard. After quidditch, it will be better for everyone who steps in the same room as me if you say yes."

Estrella's expression turned cold at Lucius' remark. She was quite offended, but she decided to remain silent so as not to get them off his bad side, her hands curled into fists.

She nodded at Liz's suggestion, knowing that she herself was in desperate need of a shower.

"I suppose," Lucius sighed, standing up, "For the amount of time you're going to be here, it's necessary."

He bellowed for the kitchen house elf and Felox, whom he instructed to start removing the valuables from the library and into a side room. All of the other Death Eaters rose with him. "Garett, Lissandra, you can help me put charms over the library itself," he instructed, and the two left the dining room with him. Lucius left Estrella and Liz to wait with Arcturus and Lief, whom he trusted most for making sure that the two girls would not slip away.

Liz turned to Estrella, sipping orange juice. "Is it a bad thing for me to say that the orange juice here is more amazing than at Hogwarts?"

Estrella noted bitterly that Lucius had left behind the strongest of his men to guard them. We're not escaping just yet, she thought. We need to lead them along and bide some time before anything happens. She looked at Liz, and after shaking off her anger from Lucius' earlier jab at her pride, she was in a remotely good mood. Even though she would rather fly outside, mini-Quidditch sounded good to her too. "Yeah, the orange juice here is pretty good," she replied cheerily to Liz with a thumbs-up, draining the rest of her cup before the house elf could take it away.

Liz looked at the two death eaters. She wasn't about to make any snide remarks to these two. Joking with them, on the other hand...

"So, I guess we can't really ask you two what boys you have crushes on at Hogwarts. Can we paint your nails?" she grinned

Lief looked at her oddly. "I'm not a girl," he stated as-a-matter-of-factly in his think accent, "And I like my nails the way they are, thank you very much." He shook his head and shrugged his shoulders.

Playing along, Arcturus replied in a shrill, feminine voice, "Like, I'd like some hot pink nail polish if you have it. Mine's all chipped; I've been needing a manicure for like the longest time!"

Liz bit her lip, her cheeks turning red. She couldn't hold it in any longer than a few moments, and burst out laughing. "Sorry.... I wasn't actually expecting a response. A matter-of-fact one, at that!" she grinned. "Are you one of the ones with a sense of humor then?"

Suddenly, at Arcturus's answer, she grinned wider. "Hot pink? Of course. We're going to hold you to that!" she laughed.

Estrella laughed at Arcturus' unlikely reply. "You know, I don't think I have any hot pink in my trunk," she turned to her friend sarcastically, "Liz, do you have any? I'm all out. But we can't deny a guy his nail polish!"

"Oh, thank you so much," Arcturus replied, faking tears of joy and clapping his hands together, "I just don't know what I would do without nail polish! I might die!"

His expression turned cold as stone, however, as he realized that Lucius had entered the room, hearing the whole of his last sentence. He shuffled his feet awkwardly and looked at the ceiling.

Liz noticed him shuffle around, and his expression go cold. "Grandfather, please refrain from leaving these two to guard us. Especially him." she pointed at Arcturus. "He was terribly mean. Even meaner than you."

She doubted her lie worked, but hey, worth a try.

Lucius stared at Arcturus, shaking his head in disbelief. "When you're done being a girl, Arcturus, escort these girls into the library. It's all prepared." He looked at Lief, who also turned his gaze the other way, as he had been laughing too.

He looked at the two girls, and saw that Estrella was still laughing. "By Merlin, girl, do you ever stop? You both better jump on your broomsticks and fly until you're ready to drop; you need to release some energy!" Shaking his head again, muttering about girls, he led the way into the massive library.

"Ah well, didn't work." she said to herself. Grinning at Arcturus, "You make a very nice girl. Come by and we'll braid your hair as well as paint your nails."

She followed Lucius into the library, grinning. "Estrella, want to try some new stunts? I'll show you some things I've learned, if you show me some stuff."

"Sure!" Estrella replied cheerily, still laughing. Wow, I never do stop, she thought of Lucius' comment. She sighed in relief as she was handed her Firebolt, and she kicked off from the cold stone floor, not able to ascend to high as there was danger of mashing her skull against the ceiling. She had never flown in a closed space before, but it was better than nothing.

Liz mounted her broom, and flew to about ten feet. The library was an impressive size, and the ceiling reached to almost 40 feet. Better than nothing, worse than the outdoors.

"Estrella! Check it out!" Liz pulled herself to a standing position ontop of her broom, and flew standing for a moment. Then, she launched herself up into the air, turning in two midair summersaults, before landing on her broom once again, standing. "I've been practicing that one!" she grinned.

Estrella watched Liz in amazement. "Oh yeah? Well.. well.. I can't do that!" She stuck out her tongue at Liz, and laughed along with her. She could probably attempt it, but she attested that the floor was definitely harder than her head, and since they were in such a small space, she better not risk it.

"I can do this, though!" Flying on her broom at first, she accelerated speed, turning herself around and standing on her hands backwards. She was facing the tail end of her broom, and she zoomed around, wincing every time she almost ran into an object.

Liz grinned. "Awesome! I'm not even going to try learning that in this small space."

Liz leaned to her left, and kept leaning until she was upside down. "Weehoo!" she laughed. "Estrella, do you know how to switch brooms? I mean, we've done it that once in class, but want to try again now? Make it a bit fancier?"

"Yeah!" Estrella exclaimed, flying over to Liz. "Switching brooms was awesome.. remember that? i almost fell off my broom and knocked you off yours."

"Could I ever back down from that?" Estrella laughed. She vaulted off to the back section of the library with Liz. Standing on her broom, she zoomed over the bookshelves, and thought out loud, "Hey, you said you wanted to do this in style. Want me to jump over and you can swing under? That would be pretty sweet, granted we have nothing to hit our heads on!"

"Ready!" Estrella bellowed. Out of the way of the bookcases, she cried, "One, two, three, GO!!!" Fluidly she jumped, her body in an arc, catching the broom with her hands and swinging around as Liz did the same thing, upside down. She was glad that Liz had moved in time, otherwise they would probably be suffering some pretty bad injuries.

Liz laughed. "Alright, we've got that down... what now?" she looked longingly out a window. "We're going to be so... pale..."
