Estrella spent the agonizing hours cramped up in her room waiting for dinner to come; she had not eaten in over a day, and her stomach just would not stop pestering her boredom with its grumbling. She was relieved when the door was opened, two death eaters pointing wands at her.

At first she was thrown an elaborate dress, and was instructed to put it on. It was a deep red gown, matching well with her dark hair. When she was done brushing her hair, she knocked on the door, and they opened it,motioning for her to follow, and she was surprised that she was not led yet again to Liz's room. She wondered why in the world they were dressing up.

She passed an odd look at Liz, both of them sharing the same thought; what was going on? With their escorts Estrella and Liz were led to a dining room, and she blurted mockingly, "A real dining room? We're being treated like humans now? Oh joy!"

Liz had been staring out the window longingly when the combination of Garett and Vladmir burst into the room and threw a dress at her. "Put it on" was legible before they closed the door.

Liz held the dress out in front of her. Emerald green, down to the knees, with frilly silver sleeves and small bits of silver decoration.

"As soon as I get my wand, whoever picked out this dress is going to GET IT!" she screamed.

She put it on, and as she was led to the dining room with Estrella she could be heard muttering about frills.

"Humans in FRILLS" she snarled at the table of death eaters.

Ignoring Estrella and Liz's loud and snotty comments, Lucius drawled mockingly, "So wonderful of you to join us, girls. Take a seat." He motioned with his wand and pulled up two chairs, but not close to each other. Smiling mockingly, he said, "Aren't you going to sit?"

Liz stomped over to a seat, and settled herself down.

Nothing made her as angry as a tantruming seven year old as frilly dresses.

"What are we having tonight? Poison?" she asked half-heartedly, poking at the hem of the dress.

Estrella was reluctant to sit at a table with strange people, and her face went pasty white as she was pushed towards her chair. Her father was sitting there, tired yet alert, right next to the seat. She was pushed by Lissandra and Arcturus into the seat, next to her father and Lief. Estrella remained silent as she was forced into the seat, crossing her arms over the red dress.

Tristan opened his mouth to speak to his daughter, but closed it again when he saw the hatred in her eyes. She would have to understand. In time... He shook his head slightly, looking at Lief and shrugging his shoulders.

Liz looked up across the table. "Oh..." she said, recognizing the man who was Estrella's father. Gee, I wonder if this could be any more perfect. she sarcastically thought to herself. Suddenly she noted that she was sitting between Vladmir and Garett. Great. More perfect by the moment.

Estrella looked hopelessly across the table at Liz, her mind torn into pieces at the moment. I wonder if she would make fun of stinky Vlad, sitting that close to him.. I wouldn't risk it, she thought to herself.

Unable to bear the silence any longer, Estrella snapped loudly, "Okay, just what the HELL is going on here? What are we playing dress up for?!"

"Hold your tongue," Lucius hissed. He glared at his granddaughter, daring her to make a smartaleck comment.

Liz nodded emphatically. "I agree. I for one never want to wear a dress like this in my life." she glared at her grandfather. "I wasn't put into Slytherin, and I'll never be a Slytherin."

Liz's glare deepened. "And even less likely that me suddenly turning into a Slytherin is me being REMOTELY okay with wearing frills."

She didn't catch her grandfather's daring glare until after she'd spoken. Then again, he'll hurt me either way. Safe assumption, since he's locked my friend and I up.

Lucius let the matter pass, just this once. He stared down Liz, and then averted his eyes to the whole table. "Well, since we have all gathered here for dinner, Felox, begin serving the salads." The house elf hurriedly set the table with elaborate garden salads on silver platters, quickly so as not to displease his master.

Estrella did not touch the vegetables dressed with caesar; suddenly, she did not have an appetite, although her stomach protested in hunger. She was glared at for not touching anything, but she didn't really care.

Liz stared at her salad. She examined it for any signs of contamination. She was so hungry she almost dove in. First she waited for one of the death eater's to take a bite of theirs.

Turning to Estrella, Lief advised her in his thick accent, "The food is not poisoned, you know." He was trying to be as helpful as possible, as he noticed that his brother and niece were not communicating.

Liz watched another death eater take a bite. "It can't hurt" she muttered. "They'd have killed us by now if they were going to. And veriteserum wouldn't matter much."

She took a couple bites, feeling disgusting for two reasons. The first that she was eating food from death eaters. The second, she was sitting next to Vladmir. Disgusting. And Garett could only partially make up for that with his presence.

Vladmir's comment was ignored, although Estrella noticed her father's face flushing in anger, his dark eyes daring the gross man to do something. Taking a slow, tentative bite, Estrella found the salad to be delicious, and she was suddenly ravenous again, digging into the course with gusto.

Liz snapped at Vladmir. "Honestly, you might want to pamper yourself with a shower."

She knew it was a bad idea the second after the words escaped her mouth. But no matter. Maybe now she could show them that a bit of pain wasn't going to get into her way. She'd felt the cruciatus curse before, and was fairly certain that she could manage to spit out an insult while in that kind of pain.

Vladmir's face turned dangerous as he heard the snorts of laughter around him. Instead of cursing the girl, as he was itching to do, he snarled through gritted teeth, "You have no idea what hell is, wench."

Liz clenched her fists. "I assure you, neither do you. You have to have some sort of human emotion aside from anger and hate to fully feel anything like hell."

She grinned maliciously. "Don't act like you weren't expecting insults your way. You hurt my friend. Don't worry though, you'll be getting more than insults shortly."

Estrella watched the situation alertly, chuckling at Liz's joke but aware that they shouldn't even be doing such things in this situation. But the insults and spats of anger seemed to flow out of their mouths... Maybe it was a way of making the whole ordeal a bit less scary?

Liz glanced around the table at the death eaters. Hopefully they'd figure it out- she was serious. Hurt Estrella, and die. Unless you come up with a damn good apology.

Tristan's eyes flared as he heard what Liz Malfoy had said, and he glared at Vladmir, then looked at Lief for an explanation. "What?" he mouthed angrily to his half brother.

Lief just shook his head, a silent promise that he would explain later. His stomach knotted, as he had hoped to avoid telling about the situation beforehand at all costs- Tristan was a dangerous man. His daughter would not acknowledge it, but Lief knew that Tristan would hurt Vladmir for the damage caused to his daughter, even if it was from a curse.

Estrella pushed away the half eaten plate of salad for the house elf to take away, looking upon him in empathy. After all, in a sense, wasn't he a prisoner too?

Second course, the leanest steak and potatoes with a side of vegetable medley, was soon brought out for the death eaters to devour. Estrella ate slowly, only picking at it this time.
