I saw True Grit a few days ago. I found the score cheesy, and wished it had been a bit darker/weirder (more like the bear skin scene) instead of "a bit dark, a bit light". There was a lot of religious/spiritual sub-text that I found interesting, too. I loved a lot of it, like the acting ♥ and action, but some parts just made me think of those average daytime TV westerns.

I went to see the film Eagle lately, And that was really enjoyable. Loved how they did the latin/Gaelic thing.
Well made, Jamie Bell ♥, And Channing Tatum, made an attempt at an english accent, which I appreciated.
And I though the portrayal of the scots pretty awesome.

I also watch Scream. Awesome. Not scary, but fun, and enjoyable.
