Gryffindor Quidditch Practice Y50 S1

Sorry it’s been a week

Ivy had been keeping up with the other chasers letting them take the lead. But flew forward to take the quaffle as vice shot was saved. She started flying back down the pitch.

Aroha kept up her pursuit.

William didn't hit anything.

Ivy zoomed down the pitch. Maybe showing off a little. But surly the hours off training she had put in gave her the right to show off a bit. She aimed faked a shot to the left hoop before swarming around and letting the quoffley sail cleanly through the right.

Aroha reached out but didn't grab the snitch.

Felix couldn't stop spinning. He heard Aroha but she was just a blur.

Victoria watched Ivy’s action in awe, impressed by how quickly she flew across the pitch. She caught the quaffle when it was thrown back out.

Felix was starting to feel a bit sick, spinning so fast. He was holding on tight hoping his broom would start slowing down.

Vic continued towards the hoops, a little distracted when she noticed one of the seekers spinning.

Teddy was struggling with the seekers not catching the snitch. It didn't matter how good the rest of the team were, they weren't going to win if they couldn't catch the snitch. He knew he couldn't do it in a real game, but on this occasion he took out his wand and cast Impedimentia towards Felix's broom to help him out. Maybe now he could catch something? "Just this once." He said, "But don't let that happen again!" @Felix Layton

Felix was grateful when someone slowed his broom, but he was so disoriented and dizzy it was hard to see what was going on. It hadn't been his fault he'd started spinning. The voice that called out was Teddy's, although he bit his tongue in response, annoyed that the Captain thought it was his fault.

Aroha had been absorbed with snitch following, but felt guilty now she saw Felix had been genuinely in need of help. She made a bit of a face at what Teddy said but not while Teddy was looking.

Felix moved off again, carefully though because now his head was wobbling all over the place.

Kaysi felt terrible that Felix seemed to lose control of his broom with her hit. Her father's reservations about quidditch hit her as it happened and she froze a bit, hovering on her broom until a teammate flew past at high speed. She flew close to Felix. "I'm so so so so sorry. I did not mean to..." she trailed off. She had meant to hit him, that was quidditch. She was a tiny ball of anxiety but a look at Teddy sent her zooming off towards a bludger, still a bit shaken.

Victoria made a shot at the hoops but missed. She blamed everything else that was going on.

Felix turned his head to see Kaysi flying alongside. "No no, it's okay. It was a good hit," he told her, trying to keep his body straight even though the world was flashing past his eyes. It had been a good hit, and what she was supposed to be doing. Felix just didn't want Teddy thinking he wasn't taking his role seriously.

Teddy wondered if he'd been a bit hard on Felix but was too stressed to do anything about it.

fiona gleamed when she managed to hit a bludger, aiming it towards aroha, but it went off course and hit one of the chasers instead

@Victoria Barron

Felix kept his head down and tried to precariously fly a little faster.

Miles was a little distracted as he watched Felix spinning until Teddy managed to step in. He almost didn't notice as Vic tried to score, shaking his head to try and get himself back into the game as he swooped in to grab the quaffle after the miss.

As Felix tried to concentrate, he thought he saw a glimmer of gold, and headed off in its direction.

Once more Miles attempted to score, the quaffle swerved at the last second and missed the hoop.

It seemed as though everyone was having a rough time of the practise session today. Maybe Gryffindor's luck was running out.
