Gryffindor Quidditch Practice Y50 S1

fiona did not hit a bludger

Felix did not catch the snitch.

"Woo well done Vic!" Teddy had taken a gamble putting a first year on the team and she had scored already. The beaters were doing well too but Teddy was concerned that his seekers weren't catching the snitch. He was thinking about putting on extra training just for them. In the meantime, he threw the quaffle back out to play.

Felix tried his best to speed up, trying not to let the snitch get away.

Another bludger headed his way, and Miles only barely managed to stop it from completely throwing him off his broom. He huffed, looking up just in time to see the new chaser score for the first time. He wasn't about to be shown up by a newbie, rubbing at his shoulder for a moment before grabbing the quaffle once it had been thrown back out.

There was some sort of commotion going on on the pitch behind them, but Felix wasn't losing focus (and not just because he wanted to be the first to catch the snitch).

Miles continued towards the hoops, keeping an eye on the other chasers in case they were available for a pass.

Determined not to let anyone or anything get in his way, Felix stuck out his elbows as he continued to fly closer to the snitch.

Aroha noticed Felix nearly getting her with his broom, shot a look, then realised he'd been hit with a bludger and gave an apologetic one. She lost a bit of momentum in the process, still not catching the snitch.

Not seeing anyone open, Miles made another shot at the goals, rather pleased with himself when the quaffle once more sailed through the hoop.

Aroha increased speed to catch up once more, still failing to get close enough to grab the snitch.

Aroha was struggling still.

Felix wondered whether they could combine their efforts. A caught snitch between them was surely better than no snitch at all.

Victoria was impressed when the older chaser scored again, looking to see if Ivy might go for the quaffle before flying forward and catching it herself.

Felix moved a little way from Aroha, so that they could start chasing the snitch from two directions. Surely one of them had to grab it soon.

Vic continued towards the hoops.

Felix moved closer to the snitch.

Vic didn’t think she’d manage to get another shot past the keeper, but she tried anyways and failed as suspected.

Felix thought for a moment he caught the snitch, alas, he did not.

Felix swore loudly as one of the bludgers came into contact with his broom, sending the fourth year into a sudden spin.

Aroha couldn't believe neither of them had caught the snitch. Did Teddy put a spell on it to make it extra hard or something? She then looked over and noticed Felix go into a tailspin. "You alright?" she shouted over, still keeping an eye on the snitch as she did so.
