Daydream Charm

Lucius turned up his nose, wondering if he was daydreaming.  But Liz seemed very real, and after reaffirming that everyone else could see her too, he asked, "I know I'm going to receive a childish and sarcastic response for this, but why and how the hell are you under that table?"  His nostrils flared as he glared at her; this was absolutely impossible.  Turning to some death eaters on the other side of the table, Lucius snapped, "Search this room up and down; Drage is probably here too."

Sophia listened to the man speaking, unable to see his face. When she heard his command to search the room, she was immediately filled with a sense of fear she had never felt before. For the first time, Sophia was put into a situation in which she did not know what to do, and was frozen. She looked around, trying to see if there was anywhere to hide, but all that was before her was a blank stone wall. Closing her golden eyes, Sophia breathed in a deep, shaky breath, hoping.

Vladmir was one of those to rise from his chair, and deciding that it would be a plausible place to hide, he scampered over to a piller.  He saw a crouched figure in the shadows, and grabbing the girl by the ear, he exclaimed, "Gotcha!"

But when he pulled her into the light, he realized that it was not Estrella that he had caught hiding.  "What?" he exclaimed out loud, looking at the other confused death eaters.  He could see Sammael's eyes flickering with something; was it anger or worry?

((Sophia if you're not okay with this just let me know.))

((All good with me.))

With a wince, but no sound, Sophia was yanked from behind her pillar, turned into full view of the assembled Death Eaters. All fear gone was gone now, and she glared at everyone in sight with an intense look of anger in her golden eyes, her father included. She knew that she was not who they were expecting to find, and could likewise see the confusion on the Death Eater's faces. Sophia did not resist, she did not even move. She merely stood, glaring.

Sammael stared at his daughter, a look of anger on his face, a mixture of emotion in his golden eyes which met with Sophia's.  He remained silent, returning his daughter's stare.

Tristan stared from one girl to the other, wondering what in the world was going on.  "How in the world did you get here?" he asked, befuddled, dark eyes wide.  "And where is Estrella?  Is she with you?"

"Estrella is not here," Sophia snarled angrily, purposely not answering the other question.

Sammael stood, pushing the chair from the table with force.  He marched quickly and forcefully to his daughter, grabbing her by the neck with his right hand.  Pointing his wand at Sophia with his left hand, he said,  "I have it from here Vladmir," quietly, his eyes locked on Sophia's.

"You were asked a question, Sophia," Sammael said to his daughter in quiet rage.  "Show some manners and answer it."

Sophia stared back at her father, more rage than she had ever felt pulsing through her. Refusing to speak, all she did was stare at him intensely. Unluckily for her at this moment, she had inherited her father's eyes.

Tristan stood back, watching the situation.  The girl that Sammael currently was holding must be his daughter.  He smirked; Sammael, it seemed, also had family problems.  So much for his daughter knowing her place.
He did wonder, however, if his daughter was with, and waited upon Sophia's answer.

Sammael stared into Sophia's eyes, and suddenly his eyes felt as if they were on fire.  With a growl, he let go of Sophia's neck, turning away from her and closing his eyes.

Unsure as to what had just happened, Sophia took advantage of her freedom and distanced herself slighlyt from her father and the man her father had called Vlad, whom Sophia thought smelled quite putrid. As she did this, she withdrew her wand from her pocket with her left hand, pointing it at the assembled Death Eaters, her look defiant.

"Oh, so you're tough now. Stupefy!"  Goyle yelled, trying to hit Sophia, as he was the closest to the door.  However, she dodged the red blast of magic, and he decided to resort to other spells.
"CRUCIO!" he bellowed, and the strangest thing happened; the jet of red magic hit Sophia, but it did not seem to affect her.  "What the-" he swore in agitation.

Sophia dodged easily out of the way of the man's Impediment Jinx. She was not quite so lucky with the crucio. Although Sophia jolted a bit, shaken as the burst of red light hit her, she felt no pain. Her wand still pointing, Sophia looked around, quite confused.

His eyes back to normal, Sammael looked up just in time to see the curse hit his daughter.  He was about to yell out, when he saw that the curse had no affect on her.  Sammael was uncertain as to whether he should be angry or relieved, and began walking toward Sophia with mixed emotions.  He was stopped in his tracks as Sophia whipped around, pointing her wand at him with anger in her eyes.  "Sophia, put your wand down," he said forcefully, anger beginning to fill him.  Put your wand down and you will not be hurt, he said, transferring the thought to his daughter's mind.

Sophia stared at her father, angry, confused, and frustrated. She knew she could never win against all of these Death Eaters, but she refused to give in. She had no idea why the curse had not hurt, but had no time to think about that now, as her father's voice began speaking in her head. Her look turned from anger to confusion, wondering how that could be possible.

Having observed the full blown Cruciatus Curse not hurt Sammael's daughter a bit, Lucius turned on Liz, bellowing, "Crucio!"  The same thing happened, and Liz looked back at him with a mocking expression.

((lol I had to godmod you Liz ;-) ))

Without thinking, Sophia turned to face Liz's grandfather as he yelled out the curse. "Stop!" she yelled commandingly, anger in her voice. Unfortunately for her, she had left herself open for attack from her father, who had still been holding his wand in his left hand.

As Sophia turned away from him, Sammael flicked his wand toward Sophia, silently casting Expelliarmus.  When the red jet hit his daughter and had no effect on her, Sammael leaped toward Sophia, grabbing her arms from behind.

"You would be wise not to resist any longer," Sammael hissed in Sophia's ear.  Luckily she stood still, allowing him to hold her in place.

Sophia looked to Liz with a quick apologetic glance before staring with rage at the Death Eaters.

Estrella had left her Potions classroom with an aura of sadness, after the memory that the Forget me not potion had forced her to recall. She decided that she was going to visit Rose's rosebush, and had to walk across the lawn to get to it.

However, she noticed Liz and Sophia, both sitting on a blanket on the lawn, and she walked up to them slowly, confused. They were motionless, their eyes glazed as if they were in a coma. "Liz? Sophia?" she called, but neither reacted.

"You lot amaze me," Lucius sneered, "All three of you girls are willing to hurt themselves for another.  What idiocy."
To make things, as they were, even more confusing, he thought that he heard a voice, distantly calling the two girls' names.  He could barely hear it, and reckoned that he must be going senile.

Sophia thought she heard something, but ignored it as she was intent on Liz's grandfather, staring at him with intense anger in her golden eyes. Very suddenly, his hair caught fire, catching Sophia completely by surprise. Did I do that? she thought to herself. Quite soon after the fire had started, Sophia was whipped around to face her father, who was still holding her tightly by her arms.

Lucius swore as he felt the heat burning his long, pale hair, and he began to curse in frustration.  It took several attempts at Aguamenti to cut out the fire, and still, his hair was left blackened and disheveled.
He turned to glare at Sophia.  "What in the hell just happened?" he screeched. but no one could truthfully give him the answer.  Even both the girls didn't understand why they were here.

Sammael felt his daughter struggling against him for the first time.  With his strong grip, he had no problem keeping in her place, holding her more tightly, bringing her more close to him so that she could not see anything but blackness.  He of course knew what had happened and why, and did not want it to happen again.

Now that Sophia could not see, Sammael looked to Lucius, trying to gage just how angry he was.

Tentatively, Estrella reached out to Liz, shaking her shoulders. But nothing was happening. "LIZ!" she screamed. She tried the same with Sophia, but it didn't work.

Tristan started as he heard his daughter's voice, ringing clearly throughout the chamber.  "What in the hell is happening?" he roared, believing he was crazy.  "Estrella?  Where are you?"  He had pulled out his wand, now peering at the ceiling.  But her voice seemed to be coming from everywhere.

"LIZ!  SOPHIA! WAKE UP!" was all that echoed throughout the dark dungeon.

Sophia could hear Estrella's voice, and tried hard to look around. Sammael, although confused, held tightly to Sophia, looking around for the source of the voice. Still blinded, Sophia was unsure as to whether Estrella was in the chamber or not. She felt as if she were being shaken, not by her father, but by someone else. What is going on? she thought desperately.

Sammael first looked for the source of the voice, and then felt Sophia shaking in his arms.  He looked down and saw something quite strange.  After blinking his golden eyes a couple of times, he found that it was not mistaken, that Sophia was in fact beginning to fade.

As Estrella shook Sophia, she could see that the girl's eyes were beginning to snap back into focus. "Guys, what in the world is going on?" she asked fearfully.

Garett gasped as Liz, too, began to fade from beneath his grasp.  Don't leave me again, he thought, but was not able to say it out loud.

Tristan watched in amazement as both girls began to fade away, and as they got weaker Estrella's voice became stronger.  Then, all of a sudden, everything stopped, and all of the stunned Death Eaters were left to brood in complete and utter silence.

Sophia suddenly jolted awake, sitting on the lawn. She looked around frantically, and saw Estrella. "What...what happened?" she asked weakly, still trying to process everything.

"That's what I'm asking you guys," Estrella replied, lowering her voice. Whatever had happened, it was not something that she supposed should be advertised to the general public. "You guys looked like the living dead!"
Sophia had come to pretty quickly, but Liz was still mumbling to herself as she was pulled out of the daydream. Estrella swore that she heard something about Garett, Vladmir, and fire, and decided that something bad had happened.

She looked around, making sure that no one was eavesdropping around them.
