Hello everyone, Verity here with the very latest going ons at HNZ.
Ending Y49!
Can you believe it? Another school year has flown by and Y49 is officially coming to a close! Exams run from Monday to Wednesday, with just a few more days to get those lessons posted and extra house points before the semester ends. Friendly reminder for professors to check your PMs and keep up with all grading to complete by Friday 5pm (GMT). There is always a tight turnaround at the end of year with the deadlines but thank you for helping to keep the site running smoothly.
Y49 Graduation
Graduation is live and you can catch up on everything here (including the stir caused by the head girl
) Graduates are encouraged to post collecting their diplomas, and any guests are welcome to post attending and cheering the graduates on too.
Careers Fair Sign-ups
Sign ups for the Ministry Career Fair are open here. The fair is to help anyone thinking about a Ministry position to come and ask questions. We're currently looking for Ministry employee volunteers to man tables.

Guest Viewing Disabled
Due to some issues, admin have had to turn off guest viewing and the site should be running as normal again as a result. You can catch Nick's announcement here.
Apps Closing this week
Apps are closing some time on Thursday, so if you’ve been meaning to submit one, now is the time to get it in before it's too late!
Reminder to Shopkeepers
It's getting close to the start of year shopping rush. Shopkeepers please complete and archive all old sales. Now is also time to check in on your shop assistants and hire new people as needed.
Ollivanders is getting a new owner!
On the subject of shops, congratulations to Kiersten who will be taking over the running of Ollivanders with Sylvie Triss. Thank you so much for Jesse and Rowan for running the busiest shop on the site for the last 10 IC years!
Inactivity after 90 days
Just a general reminder that accounts can go inactive any time beyond 90 days (1/4 of the year) if they haven't been logged into during that time. If your character has a special job and goes inactive, you will need to reapply and provide an IC explanation for their absence.
