Lauren was still very gratefull to Aonghas his family to let her stay during the break. On the other hand she was never been more scared of the moment her father would come and get her from Hogwarts and take her home. It had been really quiet so far, she had expected some letters or anything. Her father would never just let her do this without anything from punishment or anything. But so far it seemed ok. Lauren enjoyed her lesson of Divination with Professor Bryce Chamberlin. The man was really kind to her, and seemed to have more attention for her than others. And for the first time she actually was happy with that, he was not like Styx who was just forcing her to tell the truth about her father. That lesson with the boggart was the worst ever and thinking of it made her stomach hurt. Thankfully she didn't saw the man that much anymore. The blonde was not happy with leaving the quidditch team, but Aonghas had done it also and without him it was not that fun anymore. And she only did it to do something about her anger sometimes. But she had it much more under control and tried to enjoy her time at Hogwarts as it wasn't that long anymore, next year would be her last one.

The blonde always enjoyed her breakfast and so she did this morning also at the Hufflepuff Table. She was sitting by herself so far as usually but hoped that Aonghas would be here soon to join her. It was already pretty crowdy in the Great Hall, since everyone was enjoying their breakfast. When she looked up she saw the owls coming, that ment there was some post. And she didn't think of it. But than an letter fell before her and when she touched it she saw her name on it and opened it. But than the letter went flying before her and started speaking really loud. Lauren felt her heart racing, no.. no.. she had an feeling from who it was. But it could not be that worse, her father knew everyone else could hear this.

The letter began speaking:
'' LAUREN DAVENPORT!''
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN! NOT COMING HOME.. YOUR MOTHER AND I HAVE BEEN SO WORRIED!
NOT TELLING WHERE YOU WERE..
DON'T YOU THINK YOU CAN GET AWAY WITH IT, THERE WILL BE PUNISHEMENT.
NEXT YEAR YOU WILL BE HOMESCHOOLED, BECAUSE YOU FAIL TO FOLLOW THE RULES WE SET.
WE HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE.. YOUR CHANCES ARE OVER! YOU LIE, YOU DON'T FOLLOW CLASSES, YOU ONLY DO WHAT YOU LIKE AND YOU HURT YOUR PARENTS AND YOUR FAMILY.
EVERYONE CAN HEAR NOW.. PLEASE KNOW WE ARE DESPERATE FOR HELP! AND MAYBE THIS HELPS.. TO GET THROUGH TO HER.
SHE IS OUT OF CONTROL, USING VIOLENCE TO HER PARENTS AND SIBLINGS, LYING AND BREAKING STUFF.
DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING SHE TELLS YOU..
.................................................

Please do your best at school, make us proud.
We see you when the year ends, and please come home.''

Lauren could not believe what she heard, the moment she heard her fathers voice. It was like he was standing in front of her. She froze and listened to the lies he was telling and tried to get back to her in this way. Ofcourse her father would.. he was the biggest manipulator there was..

Tilly was tucking into a bowl of oatmeal, heaped with nuts and berries. She was shoveling another spoonful into her mouth when a loud noise reached her ears. Tilly jumped in her seat, nearly choking on her food and spitting it out. She looked over at the cause of the commotion.

One of the older students in her house was getting screamed at by an envelope. It all sounded very mean and nasty. She couldn’t help staring.

Tilly wondered about the violence part. The other girl didn’t look violent at all, but what would Tilly know? She didn’t even know the person’s name.

Adorah looked more forward to breakfast these days than she used to. People would say it the was most important meal of the day, and with all her studying, she agreed that it made a huge difference in her stamina. As she entered the Great Hall, she took a seat at the Ravenclaw claw table and grabbed some fruit and toast. It was a healthy and perfect way to start the day - too many carbs. No matter how much she ate, it didn't seem to help her grow taller, something she wished was easily fixable. Thinking that adding some protein to her plate would help, she reached across to grab a sausage. Her hand dropped the serving utensil when she heard shouting nearby. Her body turned towards the sound and saw a familiar face with what seemed to be a howler. Adorah had never received one (one good part of having muggle parents), but she had heard a few during her years at Hogwarts. Yet, this one was particularly nasty. She had only interacted with Lauren during her first year and seen her around, but the idea that she was violent and hurtful just didn't seem to fit the Hufflepuff spirit. When the noise stopped, she noticed other students were staring at the poor girl. Even though she was older, Adorah wasn't sure if it was in her prefect duties to see if everything was alright, but she also didn't want her to be left alone if people were talking about her.

Adorah moved from her table to where the girl sat and stood across from her, leaning closer to the table. "Are you okay, Lauren?" she asked gently, trying to provide a face of concern but also still be approachable. Yelling was not something anyone should have to deal with.

Giselle was eating her croissant and had some fruit in an bucket next to her. Watching from the Slytherin table to the many students who were enjoying their breakfast. When she wanted to take another bite she noticed the owls coming bringing the post to some, but not for the blonde today. She jumped a bit by the loud voice that suddenly spoke, it seemed like someone got an Howler. The blonde frowned, was this really neccesary! When it became a bit more silent she could hear what the person was screaming and when she went standing a bit to see where it was coming from he spotted the Hufflepuff table. Who would that be? Than she noticed it was an family member of her. Lauren her cousin. Giselle didn't knew her uncle and aunt that well, since they didn't had contact with the Davenport clan anymore. Giselle had never been asking too much about it, it didn't cared her that much. She was busy with her own.

She frowned again as she went sitting again. Why was her family that strange.. She knew her uncle was an not so pleasant man from her father, but this was just crazy. Giselle was glad her father would never send this, she at least hoped he wouldn't. And took another bite of her croissant. Trying to pretend she was not family of Lauren.

Lillith was having a peaceful morning, she had finished her breakfast and was eating some of the sweets that she had bought in honeydukes. A pile of wrappers were collecting infront of her as she chewed on a licorice wand. The young hufflepuff flinched as she heard a girl's howler going at it, the noise had caused Lillith to drop her licorice wand on the floor. Aww.. That was my last one. Frowning at it, she wondered if she could just pick it up and clean it off.

Lillith ignored her wand and looked towards the much older girl, her howler still shouting at her. She didn't understand the whole howler thing. Especially the message in it, it was quite awful to say to anyone, especially to their child, her parents had never raised their voice at her. Lillith couldn't imagine one of her housemates being violent, it was just not a thing... that happened?

Aonghas heard the howler and without even looking up he knew what it was about and who it was for. He’d come for something to eat, noticed his best friend but had decided to grab something to eat before going to her, in his mind she’d be there alone next year without him and he didn’t want that to be too much of a shock. But he regretted it somewhat now. He could’ve been way more immediately there if he’d been with her. He just glanced round and noted the others around her too. He didn’t want to really crowd her, but out of all of these people he was her friend, none of these people - as far as he knew - were her friends. It was his house she had stayed at. He got up and walked on over, pushing until he was right next to her, ”Dinnae listen tae him lauren, ye’ll still come hame with me the next break” he said with a sure tone and he did mean it. Even if he was no longer at hogwarts, even if Lauren was graduate she could still stay with him, for as long as she needed it.

Noel just finished his breakfast and was ready to leave, he was early so that he could study for some time in the library. He usually spotted Minnie already there, but he wanted to make sure he was there as well and not at the same table. He tried to avoid her a bit. Pretend that she wasn't there, but that was hard. He wanted to fight for her still, but his fighting spirit was an bit low because his energy level was low as well. With OWLS, quidditch, prefect duties and vice-president for Brotherhood. But he liked all those things, so it gave him a bit energy as well. When he suddenly heard an man's voice talking loud and hearing the name of his cousin. Lauren? He knew his uncle was an terrible man. He got an bit mad when he heard what the man said, this was not real right? Lauren was not like that. He didn't believed it.
He had to tell this to his parents, because this was not ok. Lauren was not the most easy person ever, she was really angry sometimes he
had seen it. But there was something off also, and perhaps they needed to do something? He had seen her with an blue eye, and she told than it was because of quidditch and she played as an beater ofcourse back than. But Noel suddenly felt some doubt. Was there an reason his parents had no contact with Lauren's parents? He was gonna make sure she was ok, but not now. He spotted people around her already.

Lauren could not believe what just happend. She froze, she kept silent. What should she do? She felt like bursting out in tears, but what would people than think of her. Her heart went faster and she wasn't hungry anymore. She also felt really angry, but if she would do something stupid than people would believe her father how angry she was. But it was not fair, he was just covering up for himself. It was not fair, he could even hurt her when she was not even at home. He still had control over her. He knew how to hurt her. Lauren looked around the hufflepuff table people were looking at her and she wanted to dissappear badly. Than she heard an voice behind her asking if she was ok. Lauren didn't looked behind her no words came out of her mouth. Than another voice and an familliar face. The one she actually needed right now. Aonghas told her she would come home with him again. But she needed to do something, she didn't want to leave Hogwarts. She never wanted to go home again, but her father would always be out there looking for her. And if she didn't listened this time she feared for worse things. She still looked to her food before her. '' I need to go.'' the blonde than said as she stood up slowly. Looking at Aonghas for an moment. '' I'm fine.'' She than said to the Ravenclaw prefect, the usual sentence she said. But this time she didn't even put effort into it.

Adorah wasn't sure how to react when the girl told her she was fine. It was evident that there was something going on, but at this point, it seemed outside of her prefect duties to be the one dealing with whatever Lauren was going through. She took a step back as she stood up and crossed her arms, hoping the boy who seemed to be her friend would help.

Aonghas nodded at her, he didn’t glance towards the girl who had come over though he cringed a little at poor lie that Lauren gave. He sighed a little, maybe it was time for her to tell someone, maybe it was time for him to push her more on actually telling a professor. ”Lauren, ah know ye dinnae wanna hear it, but ye should tell someone,” he said with a little soft smile. He went to put his arm around her to offer her a little comfort in this moment and to help possibly guide her, the head mistress, her head of house, just any adult who could do more to help the situation. ”Ye’ll always be welcome at ma house but ye should tell someone,” he pressed to her with a little sigh, hoping that maybe she would finally decide now was the time to tell someone who could actually do more to help.
