September was always a rotten time of year to have an event outdoors, even if the castle walls protected them from the wind. Before doing anything Kahurangi set a series of warming charms around the space, to keep students cosy while they were selecting their activities for the year ahead. Another few flicks of her wand tidily conjured seven tables, each bearing the name of the club they represented, waiting for the leaders to come and decorate as they saw fit. As she was finishing up Kahurangi felt the first driplets of rain, looking up in dismay at the clouds that had been threatening all day. It would be a nightmare to move, so instead she cast a shield over the whole courtyard, the patter of falling rain slowly increasing in volume as it hit the shield above but spared the courtyard below. Satisfied with her work, Kahurangi stood back and let the club leaders set up as they saw fit, staying close by in case anyone needed her.

Hinata could feel her heart nearly beating out of her chest. It would probably come as no surprise how flustered she was if any of her family members saw her. The gloomy weather wasn’t exactly helping either. How she ended up as the leader of Wild Patch she would never know but she did try to prepare for it. Thankfully Eli had helped her prepare. She had just finished conjuring flowers to frame the table and cast Impervius on it for good measure. Flower crowns and head wreaths made of evergreen and laurel sat on the table to be given away next to the sign-up sheet. She wore a flower crown herself as she fidgeted and fussed over the table. She was so tense that she made sure to apply the Impervius charm on her own robes and her brother’s as well just to have something to do. Merlin, she was not ready for this.

Miranda wasn't wholly surprised to not get a prefect badge - in fact, she was kind of relieved since she had more than enough to deal with between home and trying to manage the paper. With Hugo being Head Boy, too, she knew he'd be far busier than she was. She knew she was going to have to maybe set some ground rules since some of the articles got a bit carried away (although she wasn't exactly looking forward to trying to rein Morrie in), but that wasn't something to worry about right now. She wanted to encourage people to sign up for the paper, not drive them away.

Miranda busied herself setting up the stand with copies of previous editions of the school paper, along with some posters of notable Daily Prophet front pages for additional decoration. Once again her father had ended up with surplus notepads and pens (they were a bit cheap and flimsy, but they were free) which she had available for people to take if they wanted, not to be confused with the good quills and pens set aside for signing up to the paper. As the courtyard got busier, Miranda cast a quick Sonorus spell on herself and called out "Extra, extra, read all about it! Hogwarts Monthly looking for staff! Writers and photographers welcome!" She quickly reversed the spell with a Quietus, not wanting to keep her voice at such a loud level.

Eli could tell that Hina was out of her depth without her even saying a word, when you grew up with a person, it became extremely easy to tell when they were uncomfortable, and for Hina it seemed to be getting worse the longer she kept setting up. He pointed to the flower crowns when she started imperviousing everything. “Why not those too, since you’re so nervous.” He was trying to help.

Eloise was quite keen to join a couple of the clubs that the school had offered. The idea of clubs had sounded fun, and she was quite keen to maybe even make more friends within the clubs. The Hufflepuff entered the courtyard and saw all the tables with different clubs. The monthly wasn't something she was particularly interested in. Writing sounded a bit boring if she was being honest, and duelling wasn't something Eloise had been interested in either. However, when Eloise noticed the table that was filled with flowers and plants, she knew that the club was for her. Eloise quickly made her way towards the table and smiled at the older girl. "Hiya! I like your flower crown! It's really pretty!" Eloise says with a grin as she points to the flower crown that the older girl had been wearing. Eloise had tried to make a few a while ago but pretty much failed that miserably "Where do I sign up?"

Teddy loved magic, especially when a fair could be saved from poor weather with some clever charms to keep everyone warm and dry in the courtyard. It kept up Teddy's spirits as he headed over to his stall and began setting up. This was his third year running the Brotherhood, and by now he was something of an old hand at it. It was a lot of work though that this year he’d appointed @Lumos Walden-Cade as VP to help shoulder the load and he hoped Lumos would show up today to help recruit.

In the meantime, Teddy levitated the Brotherhood banner and put out some photographs from the tug of war and musical chairs events against Heta. A bowl of Bertie Botts every flavour beans was out for everyone to help themselves to. Front and centre was a quill and clipboard to sign up new members.

Horror Zhefarovich never thought that he would be named president of the Student Defence Association. However, it was a pleasant surprise. What wasn't a pleasant one was who was apparently named next to him. Someone who never won a tournament versus someone who trained the tournament champion personally. He went easy on Hinata after seeing her skills, and figured that she would need the boost. Poor girl kept getting lost everywhere she went. Regardless, he set the table up in a basic manner, and sat down behind the table on a chair with his arms folded across his chest.

He was not going to try to get people to join. Horror would rather be approached and asked. He was not a people person whatsoever. One thing he knew was that he thought that first years signing up would be a thorough waste of time. They didn't know anything. They'd be better off as targets for the other students.

Tag me or @June Davenport for SDA!

June had a lot of stuff to deal with this year. But an surprise was that she was pointed out for leading the SDA. But she didn't mind, she knew that she would be an good leader. She tried to ignore the fact that she was again paired up with someone she didn't really liked. She could do it perfectly on her own and liked to do things on her own, but in this case it was fine that she was co-president with Horror, since she had more things to do. She made her way to the booth for SDA. Seeing Horror was there already. Looking over to the accio booth where she noticed her boyfriend and gave him a quick wave.

June than arrived and saw Horror putting up an simple banner and looked over to him shaking her head for an moment. '' It's an bit boring isn't it? Just let me do some decorations. It needs to look nice.'' She said not needing an answer back because she was just gonna do her thing. And with an wave of her wand the banner was an bit more nice looking and not cheap and simple. And some flyers with information on the table. And gave an quick smile. She didn't expect anything from him, it was like he didn't had an different face than just grumpy. She than stood in front of the desk, instead of Horror who just sat behind it. It would have been fun to show an demonstration, but they didn't had a lot of space between the other groups. How fun it would be to set all those flowers on fire though by accident. But ofcourse she was wiser than that.

@Horror Zhefarovich

Horror folded his arms across his chest as he stared at the other co-president. Whoever chose her needed a mental evaluation. She commented on his banner and set up to be boring, so he could not resist. "Just set it to match the person that leads SDA with me." Horror gave a small shrug of his shoulders, as he turned his head to Hinata, leading her own group. Oh, what he would do to be out of here. He didn't really want to be a leader for SDA, or Quidditch, but whatever. He should have been replaced with Mikael. Now, that would have been interesting.

Lucy was ready. She had some fun plans for the Conglomerated Arts Club this year and she was excited to get into it. She set up her stall carefully, a fun painted sign with the title of the club written across it. Lucy had some cupcakes to help lure new members, as well as some of the stickers she'd had last year - stickers of different instruments, art supplies, and drama masks. Lastly, she sat behind the stall and put on a big smile. Hopefully that was enough to inspire some to show interest.

Ignatius didn't want to be here, but his time spent in the hospital wing had given him a vague sort of interest in how healing worked. Plants were a big part of it, and with things at home having shifted so drastically, he needed a hobby. One that didn't involve as many bruises. He almost turned away at how odd the club leader seemed to be, but he silently wrote his name on the list and immediately exited the courtyard, having done what he'd come to do.

Gaia had been dragged here somewhat against her will. Nia had ambushed her during breakfast and the first year had nowhere to run. She could have done well without any clubs but here she was browsing the selection so to say. Gaia had said a firm no to Heta Omega or whatever the thing was that Mania had raved on about, it sounded like not her thing. However she soon came across a stall that seemed to be dedicated for a club all about forms of art. "This some sort of art club? Where do I sign?" She asked quickly from the older girl behind the stall. @Lucy Montague

Once she moved on she saw a stand with a lot of flowers around it, was it a plant club of some sort? Walking forward she didn't think that the girl behind the stall looked much like a plant lady. Narrowing her eyes Gaia stopped at the stall. "What can you and the club offer me? I like plants, but what is this club about?" She asked, the girls response would make or break the Slytherins decision. @Hinata Edogawa

Hinata continued to fidget nearly pacing behind the table as she anxiously waited for students to start filling in. Her friends - Horror and Bailey - were in the Courtyard too, dealing with their own clubs that they were leading. It wasn't like she'd ever expected to be leading one herself. She was taken out of her own anxious thoughts when her brother pointed out that she should do the headdresses too. "Warui, warui, gomen, gomen," she muttered as she pulled her wand and muttered the spells again. @Elijah Edogawa

The older Hufflepuff didn't quite expect a younger Huflfepuff girl to approach their table quite so soon. "H-h-hi," she greeted immediately, her features pinking as the girl complimented the flower crown she was wearing. "A-ariga- I-I mean thank you!" Hinata was most definitely floundering and out of her league here she thought. "H-here," she said as she handed the girl a flower crown in her panic. "O-oh I mean h-here a-and you can have a flower crown too if you want," she said as she pushed forward the sign-up sheet, knocking over the small stack of flower crowns which she'd had to promptly reorganize.
@Eloise Flynn In the midst of the disaster, a boy had managed to sign his name up to which Hina had utterly failed to hand him anything and almost chased after him only to be stopped by her brother because there was another girl she needed to focus on. @Ignatius Wolffort

Now Hinata was a Seventh Year and a back-to-back Dueling Champion. Put her in front of a crowd and tell her to speak and answer questions however, she turns into a mess. The fact that the small girl was obviously trying to scrutinize her was not helping Hina's nerves either. Hina had been about to answer the girl's question when she drew a complete blank. Oh no. Hina knew that answer. She knew she did. It'd been one of the questions she knew would come up. "U-uh... T-That is... I... I mean," This club is about unity, it’s not just about plants, we support each other and we do something fun and make pretty things at the same time. Hinata stiffened and relaxed as her brother answered the question. "W-we maintain the Garden s-so some of the care techniques there s-s-should help with your Herbology classes too," she stammered out. "W-would you like a crown too?" she asked as she gestured to the options between the flower crown and head wreaths.

Lumos quickly jogged across the courtyard as he saw Teddy setting up for the fair, he’d been a bit surprised to be named Vice President, but he was hardly going to complain about it. He thought it was terribly cool that he was being made Vice President to the point he had so far told everyone he knew that he was Vice President and he’d been nagging everyone to join the brotherhood since then. He’d tried it on Bailey and Millie too, but they were girls, apparently, so he didn’t think they would be joining it, and even then, he didn’t think they would be allowed. He didn’t ask Veronica, because he knew how she had felt about Teddy and he didn’t feel the need to listen to her go on a rant about him liking Teddy. So when he spotted the brotherhood stall with the floating banner he stopped in front of it and grinned at Teddy who was clearly already hard at work.

“Sorry, sorry!” he called as he ran up, looking around to see if anyone wanted to join. “I was chasing down a first year who wanted to know if there was a dragon handling club, hope you don’t mind that I told him he might meet a few dragons here,” he said, looking at the pictures, some of the girls in Heta could probably be dragons, like Veronica, probably. He loved his sister but whoof. He gave Teddy a quick salute, “this looks great! I’ve got some flyers and I may or may not have promised someone that we were planning to do a hot chocolate chugging contest this term, so we might want to plan now that I’ve said it, or maybe he’ll forget, who knows.”

@Teddy Pirrip

Jonah arrived at the Club Fair, pulling Sayuri along, after their small encounter with the new Potions club. It was just best to pull Sayuri along now before she got into more debates with other students. He passed the Brotherhood booth along the way and gave a small, shy wave to his boyfriend before heading straight to the Wild Patch Club. Since Hina-nee and Eli were busy dealing with a younger girl, Jonah just decided to sign his name on the sheet and grabbed a ... his hand froze over the flower crown as he blushed. He grabbed it and placed it on Sayuri's head instead. Now he just had to stand here and wait to help in case they needed him to help.

@Hinata Edogawa @Elijah Edogawa

Sayuri was in a mood since she was being practically forced into signing up for a club she had no interest in. She snorted as it was obvious just how flustered their older sister was to the point that it seemed that Eli was the one managing the sign-ups. She didn't know if that was the actual setup they had but it at least seemed that Hinata was managing to speak in between bouts of stammering. She rolled her eyes and just signed her name up, stiffening when something was put on her head and she looked up to glare at the perpetrator who was... Jonah. Jonah who was looking like he was caught red-handed, guilty, and blushing all at the same time. She didn't even know how he'd managed that but she snorted. Perhaps it was part of the little stunt he'd had during the holidays. "Quit putting things you like on me," she snapped without any real heat before roughly replacing the flower crown on her head to his. Seriously. Jonah needed to start caring less or he would die from a heart attack or from anxiety before he was twenty.

@Hinata Edogawa @Elijah Edogawa

Hugo entered the courtyard with a few back issues of the monthly in his hands as well as some of the photos that had been taken for it as well as a glass filled with sugar quills for people to take. it was clear to see which table was his with Miranda having already set up and calling out unnaturally loudly which made him think of paper boys in any kind of classic or Victorian-era book he had read. he settled at the table. "Hey, thanks for setting up, the notebooks are a great idea. how has it gone so far?" he asked putting his contribution to the table down and getting ready to talk to some students.

@Miranda Dawes

Lucy smiled brightly at the girl who had approached. "Yes, we're a group for any kind of art you can think of! Feel free to sign up here," Lucy said, indicating the sign-up sheet with both pens and quills next to it.

@Gaia Athanasiou

Gaia gave a nod signing her name on the sign up sheet and then saying a quick thanks and walking away. @Lucy Montague

Gaia stared as the girl supposed to be leading the club seemed incapable of even telling her what it was about and a much younger student stood up to to explain for her. The Slytherin gave them both the moment to explain and looked at the flower crowns, giving a small shake of her head. "No thanks, I'll just join the club and then be out of your hair." Perhaps it was just the amount of kids already signing up that had the leader so flustered. Gaia wrote her name on the list, deciding to give the club and its leader the benefit of a doubt before ruling anything out. "Thank you, hope you have a good day." She said, mustering the smallest of smiles before walking away. @Hinata Edogawa

Mania had decided somewhere along the last year that she'd join a few more clubs, because why not. Her first stop was the art club that her sister had gravitated towards too she waited for Gaia to finish up with her signing before also talking to the girl. "Different types of arts, is it possible to sew in your club? Or paint of fabrics?" The Gryffindor asked, it would be a great plus if there were supplies for such activities so she wouldn't have to keep taking matches and turn them into needles, though it was great practice too. @Lucy Montague (sorry i forgot to post on Nia yesterday but she would also like to join was supposed to post at the same time with gaia oops :r)

Amory had heard a lot about the Brotherhood of Magic and even more so now that his roommate was VP or something. He'd come down to the club fair to join the function because why not? He had recently opened up to the possibility of friends and honestly this seemed like a great start for such. "Hey Lumière!" He grinned stopping infront of their stall, introducing his newest nickname for the boy since Lulu got a little boring he thought why not go with something more fancy like the name of that candle thing from that Disney movie, Lumos and candles both created light after all? "And hello Teddy! I'd like to join your club if you'll have me." He then addressed the older boy he'd also delivered a rose to last year. @Teddy Pirrip @Lumos Walden-Cade

The fair felt quieter compared to this time last year that Teddy was managing fine without help. He was still happy to see Lumos when he rocked up. "Oh, dragons. I'll see what Professor Kaster can do for us." Teddy replied, he'd been very helpful for the Musical Chairs Event that Teddy felt he could at least ask the question. Hot chocolate chugging sounded much more doable, but Amory coming over to sign up took Teddy's attention. "Sure. Just sign your name here." He said, handing him the clipboard and quill to him. "Lumière was just telling me he's the fastest hot chocolate chugger. We need members to test this out."
@Lumos Walden-Cade @Amory Raven

Fraser had his yearbooks and had invited his intern whom he'd selected to take over from him when he graduated. He had his usual stall and waved to his girlfriend happily when he spotted her at the SDA table. He placed the items down, not sure how busy they were going to end up being. He didn't have the spaces up for grabs as other clubs did. Fraser was curious as to if there would be any new talent for them this year.

Apolline wasn't sure why she had been asked of all people to be the one to eventually take on the Yearbook, but she was keen for it. Eager to show herself as deserving of the role. Apolline walked into the courtyard and spotted the editor of the yearbook. SHe made her way over to him and smiled warmly. She looked at what was laid out and then out to the people mingling, she didn't want to do more than really just watch how she would then have to be when she took over.

Lumos nodded at Teddy's mention of Professor Kaster, he was sure the Professor would let them do something with dragons, probably. He snorted when Amory called him Lumiere, "what, did you get tired of Lulu?" Was he going to come up with a new one after that too? He was a little annoyed he hadn't thought one up for Amory yet, but they had plenty of time. "Come and join the Brotherhood! We have contests of strength! Of stamina! Of your ability to be the first one to down an entire cauldron of macaroni and cheese!" That last one he'd thrown in for effect, but surely it would work, right?
