Below is the category Eli uses to determine whether he considers a Professor someone he deems worthy of being listened to. Please note these can and will change as his opinions change on them. Eli's categorisation of his professors is mostly based on his personal respect for them, which is often influenced by multiple factors, including their subject, their teaching style, and his personal interactions with them. He determines how and where they fit by;

Actually Worth Listening To
Professors in this category have earned Eli’s full respect. This could be because:

- He finds their subject deeply interesting or valuable.
- They have proven themselves to be highly knowledgeable and engaging.
- They treat students with fairness and encourage intellectual curiosity.

The professors in this category are;
  • Professor Moncrieffe
  • Professor Josephs
Tolerable I Guess
These professors are acceptable, but they haven’t quite impressed Eli enough to be in the top tier. They might:

- Teach subjects he finds somewhat useful but not particularly engaging.
- Be decent teachers, but not stand out as exceptional.
- Have qualities he respects but don’t fully connect with.

The professors in this category are;
  • Professor Carter
  • Professor Zumwalt
  • Professor Hopkins
  • Professor Odegard
Why am I even here?
This is where Eli puts professors he has little to no respect for. They might:

- Teach subjects he doesn’t care about or finds pointless.
- Have a teaching style he dislikes (boring, disorganised, or careless).
- Fail to connect with students in a meaningful way.

The professors in this category are;
  • Professor Grayveson
  • Professor Waldgrave
  • Professor Holland
  • Professor Cade
As Yet Uncategorised
Professors here haven’t been around long enough for Eli to form a strong opinion. They could move into any of the other categories depending on how they interact with him and how their classes go.
  • Professor Pirrip
  • Tou-Chan
  • Professor Le Fey
  • Professor Dubois
  • Professor Fox
  • Professor Calida
  • Professor Jacobs
  • Professor Cooper
  • Professor Stark
  • Professor Kaster
  • Professor Haden
  • Professor Watson
  • Professor Borisyuk
  • Professor Potter
  • Professor Nakamura
  • Professor Castillo
A professor can and sometimes will move between categories based sometimes simply on Eli's mood and his evolving opinions on their classwork and interactions with him and his family members.

Moving Up to “Actually Worth Listening To”

A professor might earn this status if:

• They consistently prove to be knowledgeable and passionate about their subject.
• Their lessons are engaging, making even difficult or dull topics interesting.
• They treat students with fairness and encourage independent thinking.
• They impress Eli with their expertise or insights beyond just the curriculum.

Moving Down from "Actually Worth Listening To"

A professor can fall from this top tier if:

• They reveal themselves to be biased, unfair, or otherwise disappointing.
• Their lessons start feeling repetitive, uninspired, or less informative over time.
• They mishandle a situation in a way that makes Eli lose respect for them.

Moving Up to “Tolerable I Guess”

Professors in the lower tier can improve their standing if:

• They show more competence or organisation in their teaching.
• They make an effort to connect with students and show they care about learning.
• Eli realises the subject is more interesting or useful than he first thought.

Moving Down to “Why am I even here?”

A professor can drop into this category if:

• Their lessons feel completely useless or painfully dull.
• They are overly strict, dismissive, or condescending toward students.
• They consistently fail to explain things well or make the subject engaging.

Shifting Out of “As Yet Uncategorised”

New professors or those Eli hasn’t paid much attention to will eventually be placed in a category once he forms an opinion. This happens based on:

• First impressions in class.
• How well they explain concepts and interact with students.
• Whether they seem like they care about teaching or are just going through the motions.
