Y50 Club Fair

Juniper gave a shy smile to the older girl and took a pen to sign her name up. "Okay," she said before signing her name to the list. "Thank you, um I'll see you there then?" She said a little awkwardly, glancing at the notebooks and pens set out, figuring they were there for a reason so she took one with the Hufflepuff theme. With that done Juniper made her way back inside to the castle.

Sofia was relieved to hear that she could join more than one club and smiled appreciatively at the older girl who answered her question. After she heard all about what the club stood for she decided it seemed like exactly what she was looking for and said, "That sounds great, I'd like to sign up please." Sofia stepped forward to sign her name on the signup sheet and then took a lollipop from the table, pocketing it for later. She smiled once more at the older girls of the club in a farewell and then decided to go over to the other club that'd caught her attention. @Audrey Beauchamp

Feeling more excited now that she knew she could join more than one club, she smiled at the redhead manning the Wild Club booth. "Hi, I'm interested in joining," she said to the girl. "What sorts of things does the club grow?" she asked curiously as she wrote her name down on the sign up sheet, wondering if she would recognize any of the sorts of things her mom grew at home. @Amortentia Layton

Rosalind smiled at the warm welcome. "Thanks so much!" she said, before signing the signup sheet. Now she just had to prove she was a worthy participant - something she was sure she could accomplish, despite her relative newness to the art of writing and journalism.
@Miranda Dawes

Lucy put on her best grin as someone approached the stall. She was actually getting worried no one would sign up this year. "Aw, thank you so much!" Lucy said, appreciating the compliment. "It was a group effort," she said, not wanting to fully take credit for everything - it wouldn't be fair to the other members. "We don't do plays persay, however we do have some members who are interested in drama and in costume design. Not sure about stage design, but there's always room for anyone with an artistic eye and a desire to create!" Lucy said cheerfully, hoping that she was selling it. "And it's never too late to join. We've had sixth years sign up before. You never know when art will call to you."
@Peregrine Piper

Hudson thought it was cool that there were clubs you could sign-up for. He stopped by the brotherhood table and wrote his name down, not really taking the chance to talk to anybody because the Great Lawn was pretty busy with students. He figured since it seemed like a boy's only club that it would be fun - he didn't need much convincing. He did the same for the SDA because he really wanted to learn more about defensive spells. Lastly, he stopped by the Wild Patch table with his sister, unsure if he really wanted to join. "Do boys join the flower club?" he asked the girl at the table.

@Lumos Walden-Cade @Osiris Vale @Amortentia Layton

Mary Paige walked around with her brother before stopping at the Wild Patch table with her and immediately writing her name down. It seemed like a good club to join to get outside since she was worried that they'd be spending too much time in the castle. "It's not like this is a girl's only club, right?" she asked the girl after her brother asked his question, sure that it was fine that he joined. @Amortentia Layton

Frannie hadn't joined any clubs last year, and it really hadn't helped her socialization. She walked up to the Head Girl and gave her a smile at the Conglomerated Arts Club, as it made sense for her to join since she played an instrument. "Do you guys do performances?" she asked, writing down her name. @Lucy Montague

Pomegranate was under strict instructions to join the Wild Patch Club. Strict, because if she didn't, then her mum might make a tiny frowny face and then offer to make her pancakes without little iced flowers on top, and that just couldn't stand. Pomegranate liked the flowers a lot. She liked real ones too, so the club just made sense. She found the club stall, eying the little necklaces. She recognised rosemary and possibly mugwort, but wasn't sure so said nothing. "Could I join?" she asked the older student. @Amortentia Layton

Lucy grew excited as another student approached. "We did last year! We put on a showcase for people to perform - and people did music, theatre, even poetry readings. It doesn't happen every year, but if the future leaders wish, then it could happen again. We also provide the Conglomerated Arts Clubroom for practice. Oh, and there are meetings every semester to get to know your fellow Hogwarts artists and create art together!" Lucy hoped she was selling it well. She was passionate about the club.
@Francis Blythewood

As one of the younger girls came to ask about the plants inside the jar, Ten had to pause for a moment before giving a more patient reply than her instinct initially allowed. "They're not growing in there anymore," she told @Aiya Owens-Lee "They're crushed, dried. If anything moisture in there would be a bad thing." She didn't doubt there was probably a way with magic to make plants keep growing inside a jar, but that had never been the intention when she'd made the necklaces.

Another girl approaching the stall seemed to ask more sensible questions. "We grow all sorts, depending on the season," Ten had been growing many things that she wanted as part of her work with Professor Landon, helping out in the greenhouses, although she knew the Wild Patch was a little more structured than her own projects. "Pumpkins at Halloween, Mistletoe at Christmas, Roses for Valentines," it was the standard stuff, but important nonetheless. "This year we'll have some new events though," she told the girl, "I'm not spoiling anything yet, but they've never been done before," at least, not since Ten had been at the school. @Sofia Gutierrez

"Of course boys join," Ten wondered what it was about plants that gave that impression. "This club is open to everyone and anyone," the pair of firsties that were urrently eyeing up the table seemed unsure if it was suitable. "You can both have one of these," she added, handing them both a necklace, too. @Hudson Triss @Mary Paige Triss .

The redhead darted to a girl who almost seemed a little bit shy, although Ten couldn't blame her. Ten had the voice of a booming speaker at the best of times but her brother had been somewhat reserved on his first time in a large crowd too. It was probably daunting for first years, she'd considered later, "Of course you can," she handed the girl the sign up sheet with a necklace, "Welcome to the Wild Patch," she smiled, hoping she wouldn't feel too uncomfortable. @Pomegranate Bell

Eoghan was glad there were a few people coming over to see their stall, even one of the students older than him wanted to join. It was true, it was never too late to join a club. He'd moved some things around himself in his third year, dropping those he didn't think were a good fit and focusing on others that were better suited. They had seven years here, they may as well make the most of it. He smiled at the older girl, hoping that she would trust him to lead even if he was younger. He supposed at the back of his mind, he knew he could do it, but he wasn't sure if some of the others would agree.

Lilith had thought about joining the Heta Omega for a bit now, in all honesty she might have been a bit sad she hadn't joined it in her first year but better late than never... Right? Walking up to her teammate she gave Audrey a smile. "Hope it's not too late for me to join?" She asked the older girl with a sheepish smile. Lili had figured it'd be a good thing to join a club where she could possibly guide those younger to her in a sisterhood manner. @Audrey Beauchamp

better join late than never :r

Luke knew he had to sign up to a few clubs. He wanted to hang out with Susie and Freddie more, which meant he needed to be a part of the same clubs they were. He'd already badgered his siblings about what they were part of, so the Slytherin was heading around the tables, noting down his name on various sign up sheets without even asking what they would be doing. Whatever it was, he'd be doing it with his family so it was going to be fun enough.

@Lumos Walden-Cade @Osiris Vale @Lucy Montague

Apolline glanced at the girl who approached her and gave a little nod. "Yeah! We need people to help design and put together the yearbook," she replied, "We call the role a layout designer," she pushed some information about what they did. "Is that something of interest to you?"
@Eloise Flynn

Eloise nodded as she listened to the older explain about the role and ways that she could help. It was something she was definitely interested in. Eloise grinned. “Oooh! I’d be very interested! Is there anyway i can sign up?”

@Apolline Fontaine

Frannie smiled at the older girl as she described the club. "That sounds like fun. I want to sign-up!" she said, putting her name down on the sheet. The fair seemed to dwindling down, and she quickly made her way over to the Heta Omega table, signing up her name before lastly visiting the Wild Patch. She thought it would be fun to get outside more, and this seemed like a great way to do so. She wrote her name down for that club, as well, hoping she wasn't doing too much.

@Lucy Montague @Audrey Beauchamp @Amortentia Layton

Mary Paige made sure to put both her and Hudson's names down on the Wild Patch club list once the girl confirmed that Hudson could in fact join. @Amortentia Layton

The Hufflepuff decided to make a quick set of rounds to join up some other clubs. She put her name down for Heta Omega, not really sure what it was they did, but it seemed like fun enough. She quickly joined the Conglomerated Arts Club by writing her name on the sheet and then headed towards the newspaper. @Lucy Montague @Audrey Beauchamp

She wasn't a huge writer, but she was interested in photography and wondered if they would need help with photos. "Excuse me, do you have to write articles all the time for the paper? I'd love to help with pictures and art maybe," she asked the two people at the table. @Eoghan Blyth @Miranda Dawes

Eris wasn't sure she wanted to join that many clubs so instead she just listened to Mania's explanation on most of them and went for the option that seemed best fitting for her. She wrote her name down on the SDA sign up sheet before finding her sisters again.
@Osiris Vale

Zack had heard from his sisters that he could sign up for clubs at school, so he decided to sign up for at least one of them. He looked at all of them at first, but decided to sign up for the Brotherhood of Magic, so he walked over to the table. ''Hello, I want to join your club.'' he said looking at the older boy who must have been the club leader.
@Lumos Walden-Cade

Miranda was a little surprised, but pleasantly so, at the girl who came up to them asking about picture content for the paper. "Oh, that would be brilliant," she said, genuinely. Miranda was not a very artistic person, she wasn't sure about Eoghan but she knew the bit she struggled with most in running the paper was the visual content. "You're definitely welcome to join us in a sort of photographer/illustrator role, we'd love to have you on board!" She not very subtly pushed a sign up sheet towards the girl, not too proud to admit when something was a weakness of hers.
@Mary Paige Triss

There was getting to be quite a crowd in the hall today, and he wasn’t all that surprised really since it was for something fun. Lumos grinned at a young Gryffindor who wandered over, gesturing to the paper in front of Jonah. “Well you have to win a thumb wrestle to put your name down.” He said seriously, his face blank. “The winner gets to sign their name, so you just have to wait until - ah, there we go, hi, you here to thumb wrestle?” @Oliver Harper @Knox Cooper “As you can see, we thumb wrestle, but mostly it's a cool place to just hang out together. I think we all know that sometimes we just want our own space, you know, and it’s good to have somewhere to go. Whether you need advice on girls, other boys, parents, studies, we have something for everyone, we play games in the club house, we get to know each other, compete with the girls and all that. Sometimes we go to Quidditch games together, our previous President is the current Headboy and Quidditch Captain for Gryffindor, so as we like to make sure we have everyone covered.”

He nodded at some of the boys who seemed to sign and run, cowards, they could have stayed for a thumb wrestle, but he supposed it wasn’t for everyone. “The club is whatever you want it to be really, you tell me what you want, and I’ll see what I can do, yanno?” He thinks for a moment and then frowns. “But just so you know, we have a zero bullying tolerance policy and I won’t hesitate to throw any boy out that doesn’t follow that rule.” His mind wandered to Jonah’s cousin Eurydice for a moment and then to her brother and his former housemate Mikael and how disappointed everyone was about how that was handled. “So just tell me if you have problems, in case you can’t go to a professor or something.” @Zack Choi

Apolline nodded and pushed toward the girl the sign up sheet. "Here," she said, "there will be an intern period, where we just get you up to speed with how things work, but you'll be a full member after that,"
@Eloise Flynn

Sofia's excitement for the club grew by the second the moment the older student answered what kind of things they grew. Truthfully it wasn't anything her mom grew in her small greenhouse at home, since she mostly grew herbs and small plants, so Sofia wasn't too familiar with growing larger things like pumpkins, but that only added to her excitement. She was even more intrigued by the prospect of something new and secretive; it seemed the entire school staff, including its club leaders, had secretive or exciting things planned, possibly for the school's 50th anniversary. The mystery of it all intrigued her but was also starting to annoy her since nothing had been revealed so far. Everyone was so tight lipped. Despite it all, she was eager to join the club and signed her name on the sign up sheet while grabbing herself one of the necklaces, cradling it in her hand happily before leaving the club fair. @Amortentia Layton

Aiya could tell the older Gryffindor was a little annoyed at her question. She was always taught that if she didn't know, that she could ask. At least she managed to get an answer out of her. She also didn't care if this meant that the older girl wasn't very fond of her. "Okay then. Can I join the club? So I can learn things and don't need to be asking anymore dumb questions?" she asked a little passive aggressively.
