Y43 Hufflepuff Practice S2

The bludger hits were getting to him, and the keeper blocked his shot. He chuckled, turning to stick his tongue out at Renata. "Ah, the aches in these old bones," He groaned, teasing her lightly.
 
Zagreus sat back on his broom for a moment, rolling his neck. At least he was concentrating better on the game now and wasn't so caught up in his head.
 
Once more the quaffle ended up in his hands as it was thrown back out and this time, Fin almost considered passing it off to someone else. There was not much point in him trying to score. So, he made a rather lazy line towards the hoops, looking around to see if one of the other chasers wanted the chance to score instead of him.
 
Chase looked for another bludger.
 
Veronique saw one of the chasers was heading towards the hoops and kept her guard up.
 
Felix kept searching.
 
Veronique swatted a fly away.
 
Felix kept looking for the snitch and started to feel sad.
 
Veronique swatted away another fly.
 
Chase flew towards a bludger.
 
Renata giggled, pleased the keepers were doing well. It was a good sign for their match against Gryffindor. She followed along beside Finley, wanting to encourage the younger boy to practice his shots. Or pass if he wanted, but mostly to have time with the quaffle. Mostly because her arms were a little sore from the bludgers.
 
Rene didn't think it was exactly fair to hit their keeper, nor did he really think the chasers, even Finlay, needed the extra help, but he had to wonder if it wasn't an idea he should consider considering how important it was to be sure they scored a goal in their up coming game so he hit @Veronique Chatelain anyway.

Felix kept searching.
 
Veronique went to swat the same fly, unknowingly putting her guard down as a bludger came straight on into her. She was pushed back into the hoops and thought she'd probably have a spherical shaped bruise on her back. Groaning, she pushed broom forward a little.
 
Chase did not hit the bludger.
 
Penny kept flying around and looking for the snitch.
 
Chase dodged a bludger coming his way and followed it.
 
It seemed none of the other chasers wanted to quaffle, and once he reached the hoops he had very little choice but to try and score. But of course, his shot was easily blocked again. Obviously. He didn't even know why he bothered.
 
Chase tried to hit a bludger towards one of the seekers but he barely managed to hit it and it sailed towards @Finley Holmes instead.

Rene was feeling pretty worn out, stretching his arms out. He looked over the team, figuring they could use a break too and blew his whistle. "Take five guys, good work," he said, touching down to get some water. "Chasers, keepers, keep talking to each other, keep trying to pass or steal, we want to keep that possession during the game," he said, remounting his broom. "Seekers, let me and Chase know if we're too close or too far, we wanna keep you safe but not get in the way," he added, kicking back into the air and throwing the quaffle back into play after everyone caught their breath.

Renata gave Finley an encouraging smile, she didn't want to seem like she was talking down to him but it was all just a matter of practice. She was grateful for the break, taking possession of the quaffle again in the air once she'd stretched and had a drink of water. "Alright, Zagreus, Veronique, get ready," she called, wanting to give both keepers a bit of time to get in position once more.
 
Rene really felt like the team was in good form today, feeling more and more hopeful for their chances in the upcoming finals.
 
"Okay, ready or not!" Renata called, cheerfully, heading down to the goals Zagreus was guarding and throwing the quaffle straight through one of the hoops. She felt like she had to be a bit nicer to the girls on the team because there weren't many of them and she liked having other girls to play alongside. It was still a little bit of a cheap shot to take so quickly. "Sorry about that..."
 
Felix was glad for the break and to stretch out before getting back on his broom. He hadn't had any luck finding the snitch yet but he just hoped it would come through when it counted.
 
Rene grinned as Renata didn't slow down at all after the break, joining her success as he immediately caught up to one to one of the bludgers, knocking it cleanly into @Felix Carnahan.
