Y37 Ilvermorny Quidditch Practice S2

Coming up on the goals, Hyun had another shot. But this time it went wide.

Still annoyed at himself for hitting Hope, AJ put more force into his next swing than he normally would have. Apparently that was what he'd been missing so far today, as the bludger shot in a near straight line right towards @Zeke Carnahan.
Adam x1
AJ x1
Eli x1
Hope x1
Hyun x1
Lucas x1
Einar 1x
Zeke x1

Einar raced forward and caught the ball as it was thrown back out. He would circle back and try to score again.

Dominic watched the rest of the team practice and was pleased with how well it was going. Almost all the team had been hit at least once with a bludger but no one seemed too roughed up yet, and he was glad that the rest of the chasers were keeping busy.

Adam flashed Hyun a smarmy little smile and tossed the quaffle back into play, watching Einar take off.

As Einar circled back around he threw the ball and could help but make a frustrated noise as he once again appeared to miss.

Rolling his shoulder after his previous hit, AJ took a swing at another bludger but wasn't able to line up a decent shot this time.

Hyun was almost tempted to chuck the quaffle right at Adam's face again, but he refrained as he caught it after Einar's miss, looking around for someone else to pass to.

AJ was still half-heartedly tailing Hope, wanting to be close enough to try and intercept some bludgers but not so close that he had a repeat of hitting her again.

Head on the swivel he saw an open teammate and grinned, "Hey, Lucas. Catch!" And with that he chucked the quaffle in the other fourth year's direction

@Lucas Ames

After the hit Hope flew further, but it was just terrible again no snitch yet.

AJ was trying not to get too complacent. Playing defense it was easy to hang back and let the bludgers pass, but he knew he should probably try to tail a few of them.

Lucas was following the others, hanging back, and he was surprised when Hyun threw the bludger to him. He caught it, swallowing nervously, and began to loop around to attempt another shot.

Adam followed the quaffle as it was passed from Hyun, too scared to face him again, to Lucas, who was...too scared, period. This would be easy.

Lucas came back around, shoulders slumping as the ball was caught.

Adam caught the quaffle with a snigger, throwing it back out into play. "I should start going easier on you guys." He shrugged.

Dominic continued to stay away from most of the action. "Nice pass!" he shouted as Hyun passed to Lucas. Glad they were finally starting to share. He rolled his eyes as Adam started to comment, and felt a little bad that the chasers were struggling a bit.

Lucas bit his lip, shooting out to grab the ball when it was thrown back in. He didn't keep it, looking over. "Einar!" Lucas called, tossing it to Einar once they were moving again.

@Einar Haines

Eli was getting frustrated by the bludgers who seemed to be avoiding him. He glared at one after he missed hitting it.

AJ generally tried to focus on his own thing during practices, since watching Eli made him paranoid the other beater would be able to tell somehow and get mad. But it also didn't hurt to keep an eye on what Eli and Zeke were doing in case any bludgers were coming his way, and AJ had to feel a little better when he spotted Eli missing his own shot.

Moving to intercept another bludger, AJ knocked it away with a solid swing, hoping to send it back towards Zeke or Eli again. He hadn't quite gotten the angle right however, and the follow through carried the bludger off and straight into @Dominic Torres instead. Not exactly the lasting impression AJ wanted to leave their captain with.

Adam tried to keep an eye on the quaffle as it was taken away, but he was distracted when AJ managed to hit Dominic with a bludger.

AJ hovered awkwardly for a moment, making sure he hadn't managed to maim their captain too badly in one of his final practices before moving on.

Dominic was so busy watching everyone else that he didn't even notice the bludger coming right at him. It hit him right in the middle of his back and he lost his breath. He had to stop for a moment to catch his breath before giving a thumbs up to AJ to give him a sign he was doing alright.

Practice will be ending in a little less than 24 hours so get your posts in while you can!

AJ was starting to feel the familiar ache in his arms that let him know he was getting to the end of his stamina. He'd wished his aim had been better this practice, especially for Hope's sake, but at least he'd manage to land a few solid hits before getting too tired.
