Dominic took a deep breath as he stood on the quidditch pitch and waited for the team to show up. He was enjoying this calm before the storm and tried to be in the moment since it was one of the last time's he'd get to play with his team. Of all the accomplishments in his time at school, being a part of the first quidditch team at Ilvermorny had meant a lot to him. Thankfully the weather was agreeable and the sun shone just enough to keep the early spring air from being too miserable. A moment later he heard the commotion of the team arriving and he snapped into action and made sure all of the gear was set up. "Good morning everyone!" he said cheerfully and smiled at them all. He was laying it on a bit thick but they only had to deal with him a little longer now. "I hope everyone is ready for a good practice today. Everyone should know what they're doing. Adam you take the north hoop. Chasers I want you focused on passing this time." he instructed, and pointed to all the different players as he went. "Beaters, do your best but also lets try and not send anyone to the hospital wing thank you." he said, giving them a knowing look. "And seekers, catch that snitch." he finished and waited a beat before clapping his hands together to signal them all to get in the air. Once everyone seemed ready he let out the bludgers and the snitch, and followed the rest of his team.

AJ stifled a yawn as he headed out onto the pitch for practice. Their last game had gone about as well as all their games did, and AJ was feeling his usual vague dejection at not managing to protect Hope. He was also a little wary about what was going to happen to the team with Dominic's upcoming graduation. For now though, it was easier not to think about it, and AJ was eager to get into the air and just hit a few bludgers around once Dominic was finished speaking. Quidditch had it's ups and downs, but sometimes AJ could even manage to have fun when he wasn't worried about everyone else.

It was frustrating to practice without having a match coming up, but Eli knew they had to keep their skills sharp. Once Dominic was done speaking, he took to the air and chased the first bludger he saw.

’Adam, you take the north hoop’ Adam mimicked to himself as he took to the sky. He’d take whichever hoop he liked, it just happened to be that he’d already planned to guard the north hoops anyway. He hovered in front of the three rings, and stretched out his arms while he waited.

Eli caught up with the bludger and tried to hit it at Adam, as he was the most tempting target out there. But the bludger went off course and hit AJ instead, which he would probably assume was on purpose. Eli shrugged, then zoomed off. He didn't want to deal with his fellow beater.

@AJ Ari

Hyun was still bitter about their last game, but he was determined to do better. Kicking off he was quick to grab the quaffle and make for the goals.

Playing beater along side Eli still made AJ nervous. He could never quite shake the feeling that Eli hated him. Or at least barely tolerated him. AJ heard the crack of a beater bat making contact and turned just in time for Eli's bludger hit to slam into him. It winded him for a moment, saving AJ from having to make any sort of comment under Eli's dismissive stare as he tried to get his breath back.

Eli chased the bludger he had hit earlier and managed to hit it again, this time hitting his intended target. @Adam Everett

Once he'd caught his breath, AJ glanced around for a bludger to tail, noticing Eli was already off hitting another one, this time aimed at Adam. He probably needed to step up his own game, but some days AJ figured maybe it was best he stayed out of whatever beef the other players had with each other.

Dominic kicked off into the air and followed Hyun. He would hang back during this practice. It wasn't like he needed it after today, but he still wanted to participate and keep an eye on things from the air.

AJ circled the pitch, keeping an eye on Eli and the other bludger as he tried to catch up to the one he'd spotted. He managed to knock it aside, but it wasn't a solid hit and he only managed to send it juddering away from him.

Eli was doing pretty good so far. He kept chasing a bludger, though his next hit missed.

Lucas was always nervous for Quidditch. He wasn't sure if this was his last practice or not- he would have to see who was captain next year. If it was Adam, Lucas already just knew he would dip out. There were some things he didn't think he could handle. Well... unless Einar tried to dip out with him. Then Lucas would stay no matter who was in charge. He wouldn't be the one to take Quidditch to take quidditch from Einar. He kicked off into the air, still unsure, following behind Hyun as he held the ball.

Having little luck chasing down the bludgers this morning, AJ tried switching to the defensive, managing to knock a bludger harmlessly away from some of the others.

Zeke was not really looking forward to the practice today. Not because of his teammates, but more it was his last practice with Dominic. Zeke was coming to terms with the fact that he was absolutely crazy about Dominic, and he felt sad the other boy was going to be leaving the school so soon. His melancholy seemed to affect him, as he missed his first swing at a bludger. He sighed and started to follow after another bludger.

Tailing after the bludger Zeke had just hit, AJ knocked it aside with a solid hit, aiming to try and send it back towards Zeke or Eli. He winced as the bludger shot off at an odd angle, heading straight into @Hyun Ong Hae instead.

Eli saw AJ hit Hyun, and tried to chase the bludger that had hit him to hit it at someone else. But it sailed past a few other players harmlessly.

It was silly that Eli chasing after a bludger he'd just hit made AJ paranoid, but he couldn't help it. AJ circled uselessly for a few moments, keeping an eye on what Eli and Zeke were doing before following up after a bludger as it shot past.

Dominic took a moment to watch the rest of the team and winced as AJ managed to hit Hyun. Both beaters were doing a good job and there hadn't been any fighting yet so he would keep his mouth shut for now.

Adam - 1
AJ - 1
Hyun - 1

Not wanting to mess with the chasers or Adam any more than they had to, AJ dropped down to knock an incoming bludger away from the group with the quaffle, content the play defense a bit longer.

Adam grunted as Eli "Can't hit a moving target" Carter slugged him with a bludger. He scowled, rolling his eyes and doing his best to shrug it off so he could focus on the chasers.

AJ twirled his bat, careful not to lose his grip and drop it, but kept his eyes peeled for any incoming bludgers.

Hyun had just pulled up to the hoop when the bludger came crashing towards him. Thankfully, it managed to make contact after the quaffle had left his hands and he still grinned when it managed to sail past the obnoxious keeper of theirs. No stupid bludger was going to stop him from scoring, even if it did hurt.

AJ was relieved Hyun managed to score even after knocking him with a bludger. Emboldened, he squared up on the next bludger, sending it sailing into @Eli Carter.

Eli saw the bludger head his way, but failed to hit it away. It slammed into him, and Eli winced. He glared at AJ but then flew off. He didn't want him to see it had hurt.
