Y36 Beauxbatons Quidditch Practice S1

Getting a good run up on the hoops, Orélie smiled when she had her fellow chasers nearby, tossing the quaffle to Nadine. @Nadine De Rosier

Nadine caught the quaffle as Orélie passed it to her, flying up to the hoops and throwing the quaffle. She grinned as it flew through one of the hoops.

Mualla flew over towards Atala, hoping that it hadn't hurt too much. Bludgers were nasty things, she knew that all too well, but seeing a new face get hurt was never nice. "Are you alright?" she asked. "You're going to want to put some ice on it once the practice is over." After making sure everything was fine, she smiled at the younger girl and went back to guarding her Seeker again.

Atala tried to breathe through the pain. She couldn’t believe how much being hit by a bludger hurt. She blinked back the tears that pricked at her eyes as she sat on her broom and hung her beaters bat off of the front, massaging her shoulder quickly to try and stem the pain. she saw Mualla fly over to her and she smiled lightly at her teammate. “I’m okay, thank you,” she called, before picking up her back again and heading our into play. She found a bludger and hit it towards Jacob, though it went in the complete opposite direction and she blew out a puff of air in her frustration.

Jacob spotted a bludger coming closer to his seeker and with a big wack he send it towards @Bijoux Laurent. He had hoped for the other beater, but this was decent.

Today's practice went much better than expected, which was something Mualla was more than happy about. At least everyone had been hit once or twice. No one could say that the Beaters weren't doing their job correctly.

There was so much to say if she was set to comment on the practice, too bad it wasn't her gig anymore. Sophia would have lots to say, instead, she continues to search for that sneaky little snitch. Sophia searched everywhere, squinting her eyes and listening closely to a buzzing sound of wings fluttering rapidly in the air. The Corelli girl was on a mission to catch that snitch.

Orélie cheered as Nadine was able to make her shot, not that she had any doubt in her friend's ability. Her and Simone were no slouchers as chasers, but they had nothing on Nadine most of the time. Scooping up the quaffle, Orélie scanned the pitch, nodding to Nadine as they decided to call a quick time out. "You guys are doing great, grab some water and take five," She called across the pitch, touching down to stretch out the soreness from the bludger hits and get a drink.

Once everyone looked a bit more rested, she and Nadine got the team back into the air, and Orélie tossed the quaffle over to @Simone Moreau-Chen to get the game running again.

OOCOut of Character:
Just using a mock 'time-out' to go ahead and reset the bludger hits through the power of RP and I want to let our lovely beaters continue bringing the pain without worrying about injuries. Practice will end in about 3 days so get your posts in now.

Jacob took a couple of sips of water and when the break was over he got back into the sky. He was going to keep up his work and hopefully protect his seeker.

Mualla poured when Orélie called for a quick break, not wanting to pause as she was finally doing well again. She understood it, however, it wouldn't be all too pleasant to have people get injured during a practice. After being back in the air again, she once again defended her Seeker from an incoming bludger, sending it to Jacob just for fun but watching it going off course towards @Simone Moreau-Chen instead.

Orélie was glad the team was able to pick back up their momentum again after the break, pleased when she spotted Mualla fend off a bludger. "Good defense!" She called to her, though Orélie felt her grin drop some when the bludger hit Simone instead, flying over to support her incase she dropped the quaffle.

Simone winced as the blugers were really on their game today, but appreciated the time out to get a drink of water and stretch all the same. As the game resumed she snatched the quaffle as Orelie tossed it her way and started toward the hoops. She didn't notice until too late as Mualla hit the bludger away from Jacob toward her. Simone gasped as it hit her right in the back, and struggle to catch her breath for a moment. Thankfully she was able to regain control and keep going.

Atala had landed when they were told to take a break and after a sip of water and rolling and massaging her arm, she headed back up into the air to continue her onslaught of bludgers at her two fellow beaters and the rest of the team. She was excited for this, she knew their first international game wasn't for a little while yet but she was excited to really be getting in there, after all, how could she not enjoy it. This was Quidditch, best game in the world and she was excited to be a part of it. She hit another bludger and missed, but her aim was improving.

Orélie was glad Simone was able to keep going, proud that her friend was tough and a great player. She stayed in formation to support Simone as she approached the hoops.

Simone kept up her speed but as she tried to make a shot, the pain in her back made her shot go wide and Bijoux caught the quaffle easy. She took a moment to catch her breath and let one of the other chasers take the next round. After a minute she was finally feeling better and caught up with her team.

Orélie wasn't too surprised Bijoux blocked Simone's shot. Bijoux was already a powerhouse keeper and Simone was moving a bit slower after the bludger hit. Scooping up the Orélie moved to reposition before she tried to take a shot of her own.

Simone followed closely behind Oreline, not wanted to get left behind because of a bludger hit. Besides she hadn't forgotten the that she was also a thief and tried to angle for a good spot but couldn't seem to find an opening.

Orélie could see Simone in her peripheral vision, and though she adored her teammate, she wasn't about to let Simone get close enough to steal the quaffle. With a whoop, she sped up, hurling the quaffle at the hoops, cheering as the shot went through.

Mualla winced upon seeing the bludger hit Simone, resisting the urge to fly over and apologise because Chasers were doing their thing as well. So, instead of doing that, she went back to fending off bludgers to protect her Seeker. She felt her confidence growing as the practice went on, and braced herself for another incoming bludger. Mualla managed to aim it towards @Jacob Finley again, putting all her strength behind the hit.

Jacob spotted the incoming bludger too late and it hit him right in the side. ''Good one!'' Jacob muttered and winched. He hoped he could return the favour to her soon.

Sophia landed when they called a timeout, the girl rested while taking a drink of water. Besides dodging buldgers left and right, she hadn't any luck spotting the snitch. It was like hiding really good and that became a new frustration for her when it comes to playing the game. The break was over, Sophia was back up in the air in no time. Sophia heard a buzzing sound, finally, she started to chase the sound.

Mualla gave Jacob a thumbs up and smiled at him, though would've liked it better if he had sent it right back to her like before.

Deciding to keep racing with Simone, Orélie scooped up the quaffle before she or Nadine could react, blowing Bijoux a quick kiss before taking off for a lap.

Jacob grinned when the other beater gave him a thumbs up. He had hoped to return the bludger, but he was way too late at the time. Now he was just searching for other ones to wack towards her.

Sophia could hear it but couldn't see it. She kept following the buzzing noise in the air, she flew slower to concentrate intensively on the sound.
