Y36 Beauxbatons Quidditch Practice S1

Bijoux stayed silent as the practice began, kicking off and taking her place at the hoops silently. Try as she might, her heart just wasn't in this. She tried her best, but frustration began brewing more intensely as both Simone and Nadine managed to get shots past her. She should be glad for them, at least her teammates were playing well if she couldn't manage to, but the disappointment in herself stung. She stayed readied by the hoops, trying to pull herself together and get onto her guard properly.

There was a bit of celebration going on as someone scored twice. Either someone scored twice or two of them sent the quaffle flying through the hoops. Whatever happened, Sophia missed the action. That kinda bug the commentator, it's not the same when one had to focus looking for a little winged ball while the rest of the team were highly active in the game. Sophia went searching for the snitch.

Mualla wasn't paying much attention to whatever was going on around them, she was too focused on making sure that her Seeker would walk away later unscathed. Seeing a Bludger coming straight for them, the teen readied herself and send it straight towards @Sophia Corelli with the hope that the new Beater would be able to stop it.

Orélie continued to tail Simone, taking a moment to check in on the rest of the team. She flinched when she heard Mualla's bat connect solidly with a bludger, glad that she was working hard to defend her seeker. The rest of the team seemed to be playing well and Orélie moved back into position in case Simone needed to pass.

Jacob spotted a bludger coming towards his seeker and last moment he diverted the bludger to him. He barely got hit, the buggers still hurt even if they weren't the real deal. He was tougher and the seeker need all the energy to go get the snitch.

Relieved to see that the other Beater had saved her friend from a lot of pain, Mualla continued to look around for anything coming their way.

Rule 2A

Feeling a little bolder with the rest of practice going fairly smoothly, Orélie crept up in Simone's blindspot, going in for a tackle while she was distracted and slipping the quaffle from her grip. With a laugh, she shot off towards the hoops. @Simone Moreau-Chen

Sophia sucked in a breath, getting hit is something she would try her hardest to avoid. She duck when the buldger was heading in her direction. Sophia thank the new transfer, sitting upright nearly flying sideways when he missed the bludger.

Quaffle tucked into her side, the opposite side from the one that had taken the bludger hit, Orélie swooped towards the goal. Going for a feint, she was gratified when she was able to time the shot to get it through the far left hoop, pumping a fist in the air in victory. "Hang in there, Bibi," She called to her friend, still put off by Bijoux's quiet demeanor right now.

Simone let out a loud cheer as Orelie also managed to make a goal. So far all three of the chasers scored a goal. It felt good after such a close game last year but she could see Bijoux was getting frustrated. But she still grabbed the quaffle as it was thrown back into the game.

Taking another moment to check on the rest of the team, Orélie was happy to see that Mualla and Jacob were fighting the good fight against the bludgers, hopeful the extra focus on defense this year would save them a repeat of last year's game. "Seekers, stay on your toes too," She called, following after Simone as she grabbed the quaffle.

Mualla knocked back a random Bludger coming for the Seeker, sending it off somewhere in the distance where it couldn't him.

Orélie was glad she, Simone, and Nadine had had the time together to practice formations and worked so well as a unit. It was definitely paying off today, which felt great, but she still couldn't help cast a worried glance at Bijoux as Simone finished her lap. She'd been too caught up in fighting with Nadine to notice, but had Bijoux always seemed this despondent during Quidditch?

"Our toes?" Sophia whirls back around, holding tightly on the handle. "I'm having more fun being on my sides! I don't think my toes will be of any help here!" Sophia says with a cheeky grin and continues her search for the snitch. The buzzing sound wasn't anywhere near. Sophia concentrated more to hear or see the little orb make an appearance.

Nadine followed after Simone along with Orélie, glad that their practice was paying off. She was eager to score again, but would let Simone try if she wanted to.

Hugo really wanted to prove himself, so he looked around for the snitch almost frantically, flying around and dodging past other players.

With Simone dithering too long over her shot, Orélie slunk in again, not ready to let the team get too comfortable just before this was a practice. "Yoink," She announced cheerfully, wresting the quaffle from Simone and shooting off towards the hoops before she could react and grab it back.

"Hey!" Simone shouted as Orelie stole the quaffle. Now it was on. Simone laid on the speed and chased after her friends, not wanting to let the stealing jerk get away. It was just what they needed to practice.

"Keep up!" Orélie called, enjoying a moment to just play like she was messing around with her friends rather than trying to help run the team. She was perhaps a bit too excited though, and Bijoux was able to block her shot. "Good catch, Bibi," She said, trying not to let the first miss burst the little bubble of happiness. It was a still a win if Bijoux was playing a solid defense.

Mualla whacked her bat against the Bludger that was coming towards the Seeker and directed it to @Sophia Corelli once more, giving the new Beater something to do at least.

Hugo yelped and ducked out of the way of a bludger. He still didn't see the snitch anywhere, to his frustration.

Nadine laughed at Simone's expression as Orélie stole the quaffle from her. Bibi blocked it, and Nadine grabbed the quaffle once it was thrown back into play.

Simone stuck out her tongue as Orelie missed her shot before laughing. It was nice to be having fun at practice for once. Keeping her eye on the quaffle she followed closely behind Nadine, looking for an opening.

Orélie turned her head when she hurt the sound of a bat connecting with a bludger, keeping her eye on Sophia as Mualla sent a well aimed bludger her way. She kept an eye on the seekers as Nadine took the quaffle and Orélie followed.

Mualla could only hope that she'd be having this much luck again during their next match against Hogwarts, as there was no way that they would be losing from a team like Ilvermorny. She didn't think she could bear the smugness of the Ilvermorny Keeper if Beauxbatons would lose their next encounter with them.
