Professor Kain was looking forward to seeing how the students got on with their duelling. As one of the Charms professors he took pride in seeing the spells in use, and watching some of his own students practise with one another. He welcomed the next two students to their positions, taking his own at the front of the room “Once you have bowed, you may begin,” he said, giving them the go ahead to begin their duel, and keeping an eye on the event from afar.

OOCOut of Character:
The duel begins now. You have 24 hours to post, or face disqualification. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun
As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

Lysander was excited to duel against Ajaccio. He'd enjoyed watching him against Kasim. He bowed to him with a grin, and quickly raised his wand to fire the first spell. "Rictusempra!"

Ajaccio had been pretty pleased to have won his last duel and to make it to this final round. He grinned easily at his friend, bowing near excitedly before focusing. He was too slow to form a shield and instead dodged out the way of the coming spell. Sending back a quick spell, "Tarantallegra,"

"Protego!" Lysander shouted, shielding himself from the spell just in time. His limit to spells became evident as he tried to think over them. If he could conjure things already, he figured he could just conjure a skateboard to distract Ajax with, and then he'd win easily. It was down to just the two of them now, and if he could become the champion duelist of his whole year, then it was another achievement he could boast. Ellie would be so jealous. Sander waved his wand around dramatically, and shot back with a knee reversal hex.

Ajax made a much better attempt here, actually managing to block the spell. It was clear to him that this would be a different duel than to his first. If anything Lysander was a far more flourishy dueller, something he quite liked. He smiled slightly, letting his own enjoyment of it become evident as he sent back a slug vomitting curse, doing a more flashy flourish than was required to match the energy of his friend.

Lysander threw up a shield in time to stop him throwing up some slugs instead, laughing lightly all the while. There was so much risk in duelling, and while he didn't want to have to hobble out of the chamber puking slugs, some of the hexes were pretty funny. "Scourgify!" He fired back, hoping to fill Ajaccio's mouth with soapy suds.

Ajaccio thought it was a little funny that Sander had tried to use the cleaning spell on him, he blocked it only just and found himself chuckling at it. It certainly would've made it difficult for him to do anything if soap filled his mouth. Instead though he just cast the trip jinx back.

Lysander grinned, enjoying the lightheartedness of his duel with Ajaccio. He'd seen some pretty aggressive duels and was glad they could have fun. He was distracted and too slow to block the trip jinx, tumbling forward onto the floor while protectively clutching his wand to his chest, and squeezing his eyes shut. He opened them back up once he was face down, and steadily got back to his feet. "Hup!" He said as he lifted himself up, checking his wand and limbs to make sure they were still all fine. "I'm okay!" He declared reassuringly. He dipped another little bow again, feeling like he should to resume the duel, and flourished his wand back at Ajax. "Expelliarmus!"

Ajaccio was a little surprised his spell hit and he could help but feel equal parts bad and good about it. Certainly the fall didn't seem to have put Lysander in bad spirits. He found himself even smiling a little as he got back to his feet and tried to get Ajaccio's wand. Ajax blocked the spell, and decided to go easy on his spell, casting "Rictusempra,"

Lysander blocked the tickling charm with another shield. He'd seen how it affected Kasim and didn't plan on going out similarly. "Locomotor Mortis!" He shouted, tossing a leg-locker curse at his friend.

Ajaccio blocked the spell with an over dramatic flourish, actually almost managing to get hit by it. He knew that the spell would've likely made it very difficult to fire any spell. He sent back the knee reversing curse, not a particularly nice spell, but one he had in his limited wheelhouse

Lysander enjoyed Ajaccios wand waving, chuckling lightly to himself. He jumped over the other boy's spell as it headed towards his knees, skimming just past the tips of his shoes, and landed on the platform with a heavy thud. He righted himself, and threw back a slug-vomiting spell of his own.

Ajaccio watched with barely contend joy as Lysander jumped over his spell. He was certainly enjoying this a lot. "That was so cool!" he called to his friend, as he just barely got a shield up to protect himself from his spell, and then follow it with a flourish-y stunning spell.

Lysander bowed dramatically in response to Ajaccio's compliment, "Thank you, thank you." He said. He twirled his wand and cast a protego to quickly deflect the stunning spell. "Expelliarmus!" He shouted back, trying once again to disarm.

Ajaccio just barely got out of the way of the spell that came towards him. He knew he needed to work on just being quicker with his shields. He tried to not take too long, but cast "Tarantallegra," there weren't many other spells he could do and he didn't want the duel to end yet..he was having fun!

Lysander almost celebrated pre-emptively, but watched as Ajax managed to move out of the way in time. Dang. He scrabbled to duck beneath the spell his friend shot back at him, and swished his wand from his position near the floor. "Petrificus Totalus!" He fired back with a grin.

Ajaccio could admit as much fun as he was having, he was growing a little tired, his last duel hadn't lasted this long. He blocked Lysander's spell with a rather weak shield spell before then casting the same spell back, "Petrificus Totalus!"

Lysander was having a blast! He felt less bad now that he wasn't facing Wendall, and worried about his friend hurting himself more than he was about accidentally hurting him. Ajaccio was more of a challenge, and he enjoyed it. "Protego!" He shouted, following it up with another quick slug-vomiting curse.

I will be using a RNG to declare a winner in 6 hours if this match has not been concluded by then. Good luck ^_^

Current Points: 40

Taking a moment to catch his breathe was certainly a mistake as the spell hit him hard. He didn't feel anything for a moment and then he vomited up a slug. Harsh coughing followed, and as he vomited again, he raised his hands, "I yield," he managed to say with a rough throat, coughing and then vomiting up. another slug. He knew it would take a simple spell to counter it, but he was trying to not vomit what else was in his stomach in addition to the slugs. Regardless though of how he now felt Ajax had very much enjoyed that duel.

Action(s) Taken: hit by spell, surrendered, enjoyed every moment except the slugs
Point Changes: +15
Points Remaining: 55

Professor Kain was watching the match between the second years very closely. Both students did very well in his lessons and so it was fun to watch them come up against one another. As Ajaccio was hit by the slug vomiting curse, Professor Kain knew he should have brought that emergency bucket just in case. The Ravenclaw surrended his match which really looked like a smart decision as it would save them having to clean up the stage, and the Charms professor hopped towards him. "Congratulations Lysander," he shot the boy a thumbs up, "I do believe you're the last man standing," he said, before glancing down to Ajaccio, "Let's get you to the hospital wing," he motioned for the second year to follow him, trying to clear a path on route so that no other students stepped into the splash zone.

OOCOut of Character:
Lysander Summers wins!
